    Great idea with the microphone inside of them. Well done.

    Shine of the head band complaints will come from deer hunters such as myself. Anything that shines or have a glare will be seen while sitting in the deer stand. Great video!

      1 year and 5000 views and you're the first to answer that question. Thank you! And thanks for watching!

      it is a faux leather, & could probably be scuffed up to take off the shine in seconds with anything from a scotch brite pad, 0000 steel wool, or a very fine emory cloth, or worn out high grit sandpaper.

    This was the best hearing protection review I have ever watch. The mic held inside the muffs was a great example. Thank you.

    the only one who put a mic between the muffs ! bravo

    Brilliant way to illustrate the sound quality! Why has nobody else ever thought to do that when reviewing electronic hearing protection?!?!

    Brother , I had the same experience with my Howard light head set . I left them outdoors , thought I lost it and latter was call by a builder and informed me that they were found. They worked perfectly. I live in Texas . Carry on brother . 111%

    Have used both and agree with your assessment for the most part. The Howard's did get a lot more comfortable after installing jells.

    That was a really cool test! I'm watching this because I just ordered a pair of Walkers... Sounds like either are good enough... unless you want to spend $300+

      @@harvestblades They're great for the range and for the price. Also really comfortable.

    Howard Leight's audio allows you to judge which direction sound is coming from, but Walker's audio is really sensitive.

      marsocboy if you were to buy one, which would you choose?

    • @marsocboy
      @marsocboy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thJune I would choose Howard Leight's. It actually works better even with wind in the background. Walker's picks up too much noise that you don't really need.

    thanks for the great in depth video of the two ear defenders, and yes with the mic test you can tell the sound quality difference. the Howards are much better to me, i am new to shooting well just about to start with clay pigeon shooting at first so i need to hear commands but block out shotgun sound so i would go for the Howard Leight defenders. thanks buddy take care best wishes Bill

    Good morning, I like the video and I think your comparison was a fair and reasonable one. I've never used the Impact muffs, I have a set of the Walkers. I've been happy with my Walkers but I don't really have anything to compare them to sense they are the only quality pair I have ever used. Having said that, I'm happy with them. The only thing I don't like is I can't tell what direction the sound is coming from. Not a big enough deal to make me unhappy with them. Your doing a great job, keep on keeping on.

      Either one of these would work out fine. Of course you could also go with expensive Peltors as well.

    Where did you purchase the headband? There are 4 sets of Walker's Razor Slims in my house, they have been fantastic. I got mine on sale from Primary Arms last year for about $34.

    How can you make them wifi? A bluetooth plug in jack? Thank you.

    • @harvestblades
      @harvestblades 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Walker's offer a few different bluetooth options starting around $65. I just wear my wireless, or wired earbuds in my ear. this gives me more hearing protection, & still have earpro with a aux port for comms.

    Are these good for indoor shooting range

    • @RTTGunsGear
      @RTTGunsGear  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used them both inside of live fire shoot houses, and they work fine. I have used the Howard Leight in a regular indoor range as well and they were okay.

    What about Earmors?

    • @RTTGunsGear
      @RTTGunsGear  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never heard of them until your question here. I looked them up and they appear to be some airsoft knock-off Peltors. I'm not saying there's zero quality equipment on some of those airsoft sites, but since we are talking about hearing protection...which is pretty darn important...I wouldn't touch them.
