- There are a lot of things about getting into firearms I did not know. One of those things was quality hearing protection. I thought I could get away with wearing my old beat up lawnmower earmuffs. I thought I could get away with stuffing the old ear plugs into my ear canals. Could I "get away" with it...sure...but what if I could do waaaay better for reasonable money and also increase safety and hearing protection? Well that's where Walker's comes in with the Razor Slim Patriot Series electronic ear muffs. Thanks to Jacob at The Prepper's Bunker Outdoors for turning me onto these. In this video I explore these earmuffs for the first time and put them to some good practical use!

Love my Walkers! A common reason for shooting low is "milking" the trigger causing the front of the firearm to point down and thus the shot going low. If that is a reason for you then grip and trigger control should fix it! Have a great day!

I bought the Walker hearing protection muffs with the Bluetooth and no noise cancelling mic's. The work great but I need to hear also when in the woods hunting. I will now make the purchase.

Have you tried them yet? Mine have been solid after a couple years of use. I accidently leave mine on every time and drain the batteries between sessions... That's about my only issue and that's me and not the muffs fault

I love these...just replaced the batteries for the first time and that's only because I accidently left them on for a week. Still worked but not as loud as when the batteries are fresh. Thanks for watching!

When I am using my rifle or shotgun I wear the muffs. And inner ear protection ,I think I will budget a pair of slim walkers for Christmas
I do the same...generally I am indoors at the range which is SUPER loud. I really do need both plugs and muffs. That's the smart way to go!

I just got a pair of Walkers slims it think that's the model. I was tired of having to take my ear pro out all the time. Got them on sale too, which is what really pushed me to buy them. Suprised oh decent they are for the price. Might change the ear pads in the future though.
I was shocked at the reasonable price...and pretty comfortable too! I forget I have them on!

I have a set being delivered tomorrow with the walkie talkie feature. It was on sale for the price of the regular ear muffs at $59.99. So why not jump all over the upgrade for the same price as the regular muffs?! I bought an Armalite ar 10 about a month ago and needed new hearing protection so for the price they were a no brainer for me. Great video.
For the money these are great...I think you'll be happy with them. Only issue I have is when I forget to turn them off and it kills the batteries.
@@OuterLimitless2 that’s definitely going to be an issue for me. I know I’ll pull them off my head and throw them in the bag at the end of the day forgetting to turn them off!
What are differents between Slim and Patriot ?

Kind of off topic for your genre, but I was considering getting a set of these for nascar races so I could listen to a scanner via the 3.5mm jack. Do the voices outside the headset over rule the sounds coming through it? And are the speakers in the headset loud enough to overcome the ambient sound?
I could be wrong and I would need to test it but I think the jack might only be one side of the head set... Other words not stereo. Not sure if that would bother you. If I recall, NASCAR is pretty loud. I would suggest getting these on Amazon and trying them. You could always return them if they don't work out
Did the buzzing you mentioned stop once you were outside?
I think so... Seems to be interface with my lights or electronics in the studio
Would these muffle a blast close to the ear?
I guess most shots are close to the ear? I typically double up on hearing protection.

Maybe you’re looking at the hands free walkie talkie ones? Idk if they come in different packaging or not but I don’t recall seeing either the regular or the patriot series (like the ones in the video which come with patches to go on the side, the regular ones don’t) in different packaging. I know the Howard leight impact sport come in a box and they’re very similar to these maybe you were looking at those? Or maybe the US just has different packaging than the Ukraine but I’m not sure. Do you have a picture you could post? If so I should be able to tell you if they’re the same as the ones in the video.

So in short, I can turn them on and turn them up slightly so that I can hear better when I'm talking at the range, but firearms will not blow out my eardrums with them turned on and up slightly?!!!!!!!
No, you're only turning up the lower ambient noise like talking etc with the volume. the circuitry will auto react to the louder noise and muffle that noise.

Not good enough for an indoor range? In your opinion.
Indoor ranges seem extremely loud to me...I say not enough for indoor, but I also really do want to protect my ears...so doubled up they are about perfect...at least for my needs.
You know what drives me nuts about the gun fanatical community is for instance they review hearing protection and feel the need to compensate for something by have their gun in frame. For what purpose youre not reviewing a fire arm why do you feel the need to have it right there……. No wonder we get shit about guns
That's called programming. Do you watch the news and in the background is the logo for the news station? No shit it's the news...so why do we need a logo? That's how the entire world works... So I guess you can say that about the gun community... But isn't that consistent across the board? It's for intrigue... And to answer questions people don't know they're gonna ask. Why put a knife in the background of a gun video? Why do I wear what I wear? Why didn't I just shoot this video in my living room?

They're all different... I'm not a Glock owner... what do you want me to do? Seeing as though by the end of my day here I was splitting bullets on the keen edge of a knife I would say I do alright.
