In fact, in August 1950 North Korea almost unified their country when controlling 95% of the area of Korea. and America intervened to prevent that. Then, in October 1950, with the help of the US, South Korea recaptured more than 90% of Korea and also wanted to unify the country. and then China intervenes to prevent that. Nazi Germany had no right to *forcefully* annex Austria just because they're both majority German and neither did North Korea, North Vietnam, Russia or anyone else who have used that justification to kill thousands or millions in wars of aggressive conquests. South Vietnam had every right to defend its existence and sovereignty as much as any nation has, and South Vietnam's allies had every right to help South Vietnam when they were being unjustly attacked by an aggressive power. @@christopherdo3601 the United States invaded Vietnam in the 1960s and fought a long and controversial war there. The Vietnam War, also known as the Second Indochina War, lasted from 1955 to 1975 and involved North Vietnam, which was backed by the Soviet Union and China, and South Vietnam, which was backed by the United States and its allies. @@8is by choice ???? U need learn more history. North Korea and South Korea ceasefire because of the participation of the US and China. Not because they don't WANT to unify their country but because they can not do it. Their unifying pick was all INTERFERE from the outside and now the chance for them to merge is almost zero. and that's what you call "by choice"???
@@8is The unification of a ethnicity, whether by peaceful means or by force, should not be interfered with by a third party. North Vietnam's victory also stems from the uprisings in South Vietnam, That said, people in South Vietnam also had objections to the government at that time. THE CURRENT VIETNAMESE are taught to be forgiving and independent, which means they can have peaceful relations with the US and every country that has ever colonized them. What about the people of South Vietnam, do they think the same thing or do they even live in the US now, they still harbor hatred?
@@tuminhthien8074 No, ethnicity is no justification for a war of conquest.
You talk of uprisings and dissident, but you completely forget that all this was the North Vietnamese government's fault; this entire war was unnecessary. It was North Vietnam that *chose* to get 850,000 of their own soldiers killed, and this *choice* also killed over 600,000 civilians, the overwhelming amount in the south. It was North Vietnam that *chose* to invade and completely violate Laos sovereignty and thereby exacerbating its civil war (and this also means North vietnam went against your idea of not interfering with unification of ethnicity). It was North Vietnam who *chose* to invade and interfere in Cambodia and thereby force the Khmer Rouge into power who killed 1/4 of the entire Cambodian population. It was North Vietnam who *chose* to brutally perpetuate any South Vietnamese supporter, especially after the war, which lead to 138,000 South Vietnamese needing immediate evacuation since they were forced to flee their now conquered country. All of this was unnecessary and didn't have to happen, but North Vietnam *chose* this anyway because its government didn't care about a single human life, the only thing they ever cared about was conquering South Vietnam and getting a few puppet governments in Cambodia and Laos. This is indefensible, immoral and unforgivable.
@@8is In short, you do not understand the meaning of “necessary”, using war to unify the country is better than temporary peace like the current Korea (when war can break out at any time). I don’t know which country you are from but the history of Vietnam has ALWAYS been invaded and colonized, it is very important for us to fight to unify the country, not just accept it as a colony to live in peace.
In the case of Cambodia, you should learn about the political regime of Khmer Rouge aka POL POT yourself. If Vietnam actively invades Khmer, the territory of Vietnam will not be the same as it is now.
moreover the vietnamese don't live in the past, we call it history and learn from it, don't carry lingering hatred like YOU.

Actually we could. The USA won almost every major battle in the war and completely decimated the Cong army until there was only a few thousands left. The reason the US “lost”, which many of you never research, is not because of military failure, but because of anti-war protests and media pressure back home. The Senate and many cabinet members agreed that the best decision would be to slowly exit the war and not suffer any more American deaths. This would also please the American citizens and not cause instability. That is why the US “lost”. Idiot.

The United States became involved in the conflict in the early 1960s, initially providing military advisors and aid to the South Vietnamese government. Over time, the U.S. military presence in Vietnam grew, and American troops were sent to fight against the North Vietnamese and their allies. The war was marked by heavy casualties on both sides, as well as controversy and protests in the United States and around the world.

What with the sad face?:)
War in Viet Nam ended in 1975!
"We want peace, we have to make concessions, but the more we give in, the more the French colonialists move in, because they are determined to rob our country again. No! We'd rather sacrifice everything, not the first. determined not to lose the country, definitely not to be a slave" President Ho Chi Minh, quoted in the call for national resistance
Why sad bro, that day was a greatest day of every vietnamese people
No, because hundreds of thousands of people ran away from the VC

Never forget that it was North Vietnam that chose to get 850,000 of their own soldiers killed, and this choice also killed over 600,000 civilians, the overwhelming amount in the south. It was North Vietnam that chose to invade and completely violate Laos sovereignty and thereby exacerbating its civil war (and this also means North vietnam went against your idea of not interfering with unification of ethnicity). It was North Vietnam who chose to invade and interfere in Cambodia and thereby force the Khmer Rouge into power who killed 1/4 of the entire Cambodian population. It was North Vietnam who chose to brutally perpetuate any South Vietnamese supporter, especially after the war, which lead to 138,000 South Vietnamese needing immediate evacuation since they were forced to flee their now conquered country. This even got so bad that between 1975 and 1995, 1.6 million Vietnamese were forced to flee their country and 800,000 Vietnamese fled by boat to other countries with countless others who died trying (some estimate as much as 400,000 Vietnamese who died at sea). And that's not even mentioning North Vietnam's treatment of the Hoa People or the Hmong people or the Lowland people, etc. in fact, 1.4 million non-Vietnamese people were also forced to flee their countries as a result of North Vietnam choosing to wage this war.

@@8isThey fought and died for the sake of independence and freedom, in the end their sacrifices are not in vain as Vietnam defeated the US and unified the country.
@@8isNot to mention, it was the Vietnamese that stopped the genocide of Khmer Rouge that was aided by USA and China.

I love Vietnam.
Vietnam is good

Vietnams culture is cool… its government is garbage…
This is why ideology is dangerous and destroys Humanity... my country is same as vietnam but we are divided by two because of different ideology.... we had war like Vietnam and most of the Land wrre destroyed and there were no trees remaining..... about 40 countries step in to our war and about 6,000,000 casualties....
what a nice south east asian country, I surely do hope that decades of war, colonialism and crimes won't effect it
Bro im gonna cry when i see the tank crash the door cause that a legend
funny people they cost more time when crashing it, why not letting the crew open it first? Then they won't have to repair the gates later on, lmao skill issue
