@junicohen7918 OH. They didn't. If Hitler had won, and we didn't have the bomb, what do you think it would have been like afterward? I don't even want to think about it. There will always be wars until mankind learns to respect each other and life. But they gave us another chance. A big one. Many, many babies were born after the war because people had hope. The people who were freed from the internment camps were glad we won for sure.
"Made it"? The west is fcked. We are being flooded with illegal immigrants, effectively replacing native populations over time, people pretend to be the opposite gender and use pronouns that are meant for multiple people, kids are being indoctrinated with cultural marxism in school, people are being legally punished for saying mean things on the internet... And that's only the tip of the Eisberg...
You did a very nice job, you even got the distance right. You can actually see where those people actually stood ...that makes it real and even more touching. Very nicely done.

For What, destroying their country and race. The greatest generation was full of idiots who died for jews
My parents were from that generation. My father was in the Philippines during WW2. I became so interested in his stories that I’ve read for decades and watched many documentaries about it. There’s still much I haven’t learned.
Sons and daughters of "the greatest generation" watching the fall, understand what duty calls of us and when. Till then, hold the line Patriots. Do not be tricked into crossing. 3D chess.
@@penelopepundit3963they fought the wrong enemy. They were heroes regardless, and truly good men
It's something really important to see, the then and now photographs of people who fought.
It's amazing what you did. RIP all soldiers who died in WWII.

The saddest part is just in history soldiers are seen as expendable just numbers to be deployed on the battlefield this is how it was and it always will be the motherland could not care less they only care about wealth power

Did the band of brothers tour, in part because of your videos, love all of them, I'm a 27 yr vet who went from enlisted to Warrant Officer, that being said this was the greatest generation.
I'll say it again, Loud and Proud !!!
Amazing! That’s so cool to hear and makes it all worth while
Videos like these always bring tears to my eyes and penetrated through my soul. I want to thank to all these brave warriors no matter what side theyre on for serving their country. Because of them, we are so united now. They put their life on the line to get us to where we are today.
Thank you 🙏🏻 for every Veteran who fought so bravely and so hard.
Thank you for sharing History with us 🙏🏻
My Lord, just to think of all that has gone past. God blessed that generation with courage and fortitude. May we never forget.

@@user-xf1bu3tz7e You Guys' inferiority complex towards Japan is real. They spread nonsense rumors such as that during the Edo period, white mixed race was recommended as a national policy. Disgusting people who impose the white complex that Koreans have on Japanese people and slander Japan with made-up stories.

My grandfathers, uncles and some cousins were all British solders who served in army during the Second war. It broke their hearts but built them into men that then when on to rebuild Europe.
It's still crazy to me how people walk there everyday and life goes on but if you go into the past, there was a big part in history that happened there. Love the videos, they make me love life and make me emotional. 👍
Making them has made me love life and appreciate what time we have
Great compilation... "Then and now" a treasure
Cry every time. Thinking of my dad and all the friends he lost. Bless him and them 💔💔💔💔💔💔
These images and this music hurts so bad... 😔all those soldiers who were fighting for their country are gone....... And seeing them in pictures makes us so emotional.....
and now their countries are going away, too.
@@Sercer25Everything they fought for we must hold onto with both hands.
These are great memories to see and share of how things change in time.
Thanks 🙏
Мне почему-то плакать хочется когда вижу эти кадры "вчера и сегодня".😢😢😢

My Grandfather served in WW11 These pictures are amazing
It really hits home
How many brave vets sacrificed themselves for us
I wish the younger generation
Realise how very lucky they are
I for one will never forget
Thank you
Your Grandfather?
My Dad.
I feel so old. 😉😉
My grandfather as well...this is beautiful on so many levels, oh how I miss him
WW11?
I believe he meant WWII but he replaced the "II" with "11"@@wildlifeisthewealthofnatur5457
Amazing. We should never forget all soldiers that fought in any war. Most were peace seeking normal men. Thank you all.
My dear Dad and his 2 brothers were among them.nz 2 division from late 1939 till 1946. Beautiful men. ❤❤❤
When you look at the pictures of he places as they are today, you see what all those brave men and women fought for, peace and freedom. Thank you all for my personal gift, to be born and grow up as a free person, you will never be forgotten ❤️ ❤🙏🙏
The "now" pictures are missing the best thing - those people who fought and endured the war. Literally and figuratively true .
Thank you. You truly are the greatest generation. My grandfather was one of them.A Marine in the south Pacific.
My Father on The USS Enterprise
And The Pacific was it's own brand of brutal. We can never thank them enough. RIP all of you.
These really show how even one spot can have so much history in it
The little girl giving the GI a bottle of wine really got me.
Yes to peace, yes to freedom, no to wars 😢❤
I wish the soldiers who died during the war could see this now and to know we made it because of them. ❤
Makes me emotional thinking about it
They would know they wasted there time
@junicohen7918 OH.
@@junicohen7918
Nice try....only a Marxist would make your comment.
Respect to those who had fought in their best😢 never ever happen again.
Let’s hope!
Germany still around
I can still see the souls of the warrior, they are smiling at me.Bless them.
I find what makes all of these photos look sad is that you can clearly see all the people from the original photos are just... not there anymore
Heartbreaking and moving. My Grandfather's generation. Not that long ago. Salute.
The places in the modern pictures might look more polished but to me, the old ones have a special magic I wouldn't trade for anything else.
Incredibly preserved the history.
Insane to me this is getting closer and closer to 90 years ago. These men are heroes and will be remembered for ever
Respect to those soldiers 🫡

You did a very nice job, you even got the distance right. You can actually see where those people actually stood ...that makes it real and even more touching. Very nicely done.
This song hits me even harder than it did on the pacific opening. These pics make me want to cry.
My deepest respect to the soldiers and gratitude for creating this video
These historical images touch my soul! 😢😢
Peace is so beautiful... As a French, thank you to all who fought for our freedom. I am glad now the old battlefield became these pretty places
The buildings have seen it all... 🥹🥲. Respect to all who sacrificed their life for us 🌟 !!
Sad but precious memories
The Pacific anthem by Hans Zimmer made thid even more emotional.

Just thinking about all the soldiers that marched through those streets and didn't leave to tell the story themselves.

During WW2 my dad was U.S. Army, Corps Of Engineers, Signal Corps, Radio Intelligence. His job was to listen in on enemy radio transmissions. Then take whatever he intercepted and have it deciphered. It's interesting, all that happened so many years ago, yet most of what he did is still classified.
Tell him i said “thank you for your service”
Is he still alive ?
Your dad was a bad horrible guy.
Than why your Dad drop nuclear bom in Japan 😢
Your dad killed millions of North Korean people by horrific way

how amazing of the buildings during two different centuries
This is all breathtaking & brings tears
To see the houses and the churches still standing is very touching because they are a silent witness of all the people who lived and died in WW2. May they all rest in peace.
Some of those buildings have probably been there for centuries.
