The cabinets in America probably hasn't update for awhile but I know the cabinets in Taiwan did up to date. At least they have 3 songs playable and there is Skeleton Orchestra and Lillia.
The cabinets I've played in the US are up to date so I'm guessing some parts of the country don't have updated cabinets (1 was using the english patch)

I was finally able to play on a cabinet this past weekend after being a fan of the Project Diva series for 3 years, and it was so worth it! I even went as far as to use a fight stick to get used to the arcade button layout. I wasn’t able to play for too long due to my friends being in a rush to return home, but I’m looking forward to making the pilgrimage again.

Glad I found this video 😅 next week will be my first time playing the cabinet after being in this fandom since elementary school . I am very anxious to play this game as well s you did . The main learning curb is the buttons as my hand is fairly small 😅
I know the feeling of finally getting to play the arcade! It was an amazing feeling! I had the luck in actually getting my hands on an arcade! cost a lot of money to get and to get it to run but I'm glad I can own one! Also happy you finally got to experience the arcade in all its glory!
Actually round one is only 27min away from were I live so one of these days I’m probably going Im so excited I’ve been wanting to try the project diva arcade for so long even if I have mega mix on switch
Haha! That's awesome! You did kinda what I did, back in May 2021, when I wanted to play the arcade game too. Though I went to a Round 1 in Temecula, which looking at the distance of where you're at (according to your map), it's somewhat close to you it seems? x3 Anyway, after looking through the pics on Google Maps of that Round 1 to see if any recent ones *happened* to get a glimpse of the PD arcade cabinet, thankfully, I saw it! It was in the background of a pic, but there it was! So, my family and I went and yup, the cabinet was there, and it was awesome to play! Got me so hooked on the button layout, I ended up buying a PS3 Diva controller and doing a quick modification to have the button layout be the same as the arcade, and using the sticks for the slider.
I've now finished the video. I just wanted to comment immediately on the fact that we both did the same thing to find a project diva cabinet irl x3 Anyway, I highly recommend getting the official PS3 Project Diva controller. First, it's only a tiny bit over $100 on ebay, WAY cheaper than the official MegaMix controller, or the fan-made controllers. Second, changing the button layout isn't hard, just gotta be careful about it, but it works incredibly well. You'll miss out on the slider but for songs on Hard, it's easily doable with the sticks.
I got one of the controllers, since I‘m living in germany and we don‘t have those arcades here. Mine was like 100$ but it‘s the f2nd one since I wanted to be able to play both future tone and f2nd :)

Can’t believe he’s already made another channel,I just accept the fact their will always be people who just hate seeing others having fun and being happy But I refuse to let these type of “fans” ruin my and other people’s fun,I’ll be playing project diva and watching the live concerts online and on dvd till im a little old lady
I saw one of these in a arcade recently (I don’t know much about vocaloid to begin with)and now I’ve fallen into a rabbit hole of wanting to play more! I can’t justify running over 30minutes to the arcade and spend $13 too frequently
About the lack of updates for the series From what I've heard over the years, there used to be a specific team for Project DIVA in SEGA called DIVA Team (I think...), but around 2016 is when it's presumed they were disbanded since almost nothing new has been released since X, Future Tone happened, no new songs aside from 1 brand new 3D PV and a few MV's that would appear in MegaMix/39's (and Sekai the same year) and then Megamix+ with no new content aside from Kagamine HachiHachi Flower Fight (but that's not even new, it's a song from F dating back almost 10 years since it was last seen in the series) and glorified bug fixes- i mean updates that do nothing that break mods for a few weeks to a month. At this point, I'm convinced they gave up on the series and mods are (thankfully) keeping it alive Speaking of Arcade specifically, remember when Ghost Rule got removed (and almost 39) because SEGA's license for the songs were running out and then bought them back the same day. (39 never got removed, it almost did, but they renewed the license the day before the scheduled removal being March 10th........funny the song is 39 and the song(s) got renewed on 310, get it??????? hehe..) like you had to be there when it happened. another footnote, if you're able to play on the cabinets a bit more, you'll get used to them. I recommend Unrequited Love Samba or any old chart from 2010-2012 on any diff to get used to the feel of the button placement without crying to a hard chart.

That was one of the most laziest things I’ve ever seen lol But I don’t really understand why though, they are the publishers of ProSekai afterall, and that game is obviously doing pretty well, even after 3 years, and their Merch is also doing well, so it scratches my head why they don’t continue the Project Diva series. Surely it has to do with some licensing stuff right? Like for example up until 2018 Sega animated the Magical Mirai performances, but since then Crypton animates them by themselves. Surely there happened, that just never went public right?

As a Brit, I have never seen a DIVA Arcade… I’ve been too far away. Hopefully I can see one soon 😭
I'm not sure about other countries in the UK, but in England there's a place called Arcade Club in Leeds, Manchester which have the arcade machine!
