That game was kind of messy. At one point he attacks the opponent with a 1/1 flyer around 44:23 but not with his 3/3 trelassara. I assume this was to play around a Faceless Haven activation trading with Trelassara, but the opponent only had 2 snow lands and couldn't activate it. But the Kabira Takedown was the bigger misplay. If he had read the card, he wouldn't have had to throw his Snakeskin Veil away offensively.
The Kitchen is back with another absolute banger of an edit job. Honestly, it’s such a treat watching his cuts and I wish every content creator had a Kitchen to back them.
I've been playing something a lot like this and I really LOVE Fortifying Draught in here. I've had it add like +10 damage at instant speed for one green.
FYI Soul Sisters doesn't refer to the Ajani's Pridemate effects (which you kept referring to as the soul sisters in the video). It refers to the lifegain on etb creatures because the main soul sisters are Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant.

5:48 Shouldn't you have some Thalias, Elite Spellbinders, or Paladin Classes in the sideboard for control? I get that it's not budget-friendly, but I just played a match with my Grixis dragons deck against a white weenie deck that was full of Paolos, and I got blown out because I couldn't cast anything. More Snakeskin Veils in the sideboard would be good against control too.
Yeah, those are the cards I wanted to add to the sideboard most (along with Reidane and/or Guardian of Faith). Sadly they are all rares and we were up against our 15 rare/mythic budget for Arena.
For budget control options, Cleric Class is actually pretty decent. It's a soul sister payoff that can't be removed, and it recurs a threat. Sounds sort of janky, but it has been decent in my experience.
At 4:55 wouldn't the correct play be innkeeper first which would make a treasure then play Trelasarra to get 2 triggers and 3 total life? Maybe I'm missing something.
Starting any hand without a one mana soul sister automatically puts you in a bind. It is worth at least one mulligan to try getting the lunarch veteran/soul warden plus voice of the blessed/trelassara combo.
Soul sisters was my first ever modern deck and love it to this day. You should run the gauntlet and play it in historic and modern as well. The soul sisters in the card fram was genius. Made me laugh so hard.
Hi, I played the Orzov controldeck and it isn't bad against Izzet taking out 5 wraths for discard and go blank. The deck is positiv against Izzet right now and eating creaturedecks alive.

Welcoming Vampire might also be good in this kind of deck. I'd at least test it over Righteous Valkyrie. Drawing a card off of any creature your play seems more useful than making your 1/1s into 3/3s or your big stuff even bigger.

I feel like Dollhouse might have a place in this deck. Knowing that certain creatures will be killed on sight. Bring them back so easily with Dolllhouse for cheap.
I think you should be allowed to go over 15 rares so long as it's cards like lands that can be easily replaced by other rares players might have or budget options or things like Thalia where you're REALLY likely to use it a lot in the future, in a "these are rares you should try to have anyways" kinda way. Maybe still no more than 20 rares and mythics tho.
I do think playing soul sisters in standard is a flavor fail. You keep predicting the card will be great in modern soul sisters not standard. So, you should have played it in modern to prove that it belongs in soul sisters where the power level is higher.
It makes sense that the best life gain is something that Clerics do. Wizards needs to stay with this. I wish they made the subtype more on flavor. Like Druids should be the subtype that are mana dorks.
Fun deck to play buts it seems like its one of the only ones anybody plays rn so its become annoying to play against. It can be really hard to beat if you don't have immediate removal for the key pieces, especially if you are playing any creature-based deck. Honestly hate this deck now just from having to play against it over and over lol

Don't worry, there's Modern coming up this week for Much Abrew and for next week's Budget Magic. It's mostly just that when a new set releases things tend to shift towards Standard for a few weeks, before going back to a more even mix of formats.
Seth! You should do a Soul Sisters against-the-odds where you add at least 1 copy of every card you've ever said could be good in Soul Sisters.

Voice is such an insane card. Easily the best creature in Historic Soul Sisters outside of Soul Warden itself.

Run into a few soul sisters, all strong so far. Only won against them by stalling out for a Sinner Judge'n using Blue/White control

I think it is healthy if deck has a bad match up. Makes them less likely to get any of their cards banned.
