@Yannick 73 They seem to have a continual advertising budget, as replacing the high player turn over seems to be the focus instead of player retention. Taking a look at the official reddit or discord it seems they have not allocated a similar budget to development or QOL updates. So I don't think there will be a saturation point for their adverts. Although I am glad to see the players/companies money going to youtubers I actually like.
Raid is so rich these ads hardly make a dent in their profit margin

I really wish they'd make the next Bond film as a speed run. Daniel Craig just sprinting and strafing sideways, looking at the ground, not killing anyone and ending the film in about 10 minutes

It's something I'd never, ever do myself. I'm not skilled enough despite being a gamer from 1987 and I think it would ruin video games for me - but it's interesting and highly entertaining thing to follow.

For those unaware, Karl Jobst, the creator of this video, holds every single one of these records. He was the first to achieve the record for items 5, 4, and 3 on his list, while his record on item 2 remains untied.
Its amazing how humble Karl is, literally makes no mention that he set almost all of these records 😂

This guy mentions perfect speedruns, only for me go go look to see he has those records and he never mentions it. You little humble runner you.
A run in this game is a lot of times the collective achievment of the community imo. Hours of dedication has been poured into these stages by multiple people trying to figure out how to save the next .3. The runner has great skill and achievment, obviously, im not taking away from that, but really theyre the catalyst for years of hard work from many different people. I respect karl for being so humble about it, as he probably knows its not solely his achievement

Honestly it dosnt come off as modest to me. It can make it seem asthough its no big deal thats its him who beat it, which seems kind of insulting bc getting a record is kind of a big deal.
Im not saying i dont like Karl, and i aprecciate how he handles his own records, but i think he could handle it better.
I don't do speedruns, but I got into watching them because of you, you explain them in such a simple way so everyone can understand while keeping it interesting. You're an absolute legend.
Some of these records took close to 20ish years to break. Imagine Dam 52 getting broken in 2040! The game would be 43 years old

Same here! I’m learning so much. I feel more connected to enlightened with the gaming community even if I don’t participate in speedruns. It’s a whole other frontier I never knew.
It didn't take me long to figure out I was moving faster when looking down playing this game back in 97. I was shocked when I found out this wasn't known to speed runners until years and years later.

You don't make a cent from TH-cam, but you also have another source of income, right?
For a lot of people, their job is video creation, and their income only comes from ads (both TH-cam's ads and sponsored videos) and/or subscribers. If all ads disappeared tomorrow, then a lot of creators would have to reduce their output significantly while they work a traditional job too.
