Stripped down, custom made BMW bikes hold a soft spot in my heart for no reason other than I love the look. I've never owned a BMW, and never will, but I love seeing other people build custom BMW choppers.
What an awesome project you made, great memories with your family and friends, put in the work and dedication, you got a great result, I feel proud of you just watching this project unfold
@@jerryx2000 It certainly is fun and a little lighter but I would be lying to say it’s fast haha. I’m sure a more experienced rider than myself could show its true potential.
I still have mine. A '68 Norton Atlas I restored back in '05... Kept it stock on the outside. I'm losing my snap-leg, and cosidering dished pistons. Nothing like screwing around with an old British twin, I always say.
What an incredible achievement Zach! An amazing effort to co-ordinate and also have so many people share in and help execute on your vision. Perhaps what many of us could one day hope to do ourselves. And how incredible to be able to share with and be guided by your father - treasure that, as I deeply miss my pops. I look forward to perhaps another beautiful build in the future. All the very best! 🙂
Thank you so much! I do my best to not take him for granted and cherish the time we spend together even when we aren’t on the same page with the vision haha. I’m looking forward to when I get some time for another build. I’ll keep your comment in mind if I get to share the experience with my family and friends again. Best to you as well.
I also have an k75 and i am looking forward to continue the tuning journey of this bike. Your video was amazing and all the help from your family and friends was heartwarming. Have a nice time and good greetings from germany. Eric
Man, this project is impressive! Congrats for the project and it is really emotional to have your dad involved. I hope one day have my kids and they share the same passion for bikes with me! Congrats bro!
That looks bloody mint mate, looks like it should be flying round the isle of man. What a transformation, it looks great guys well done looooove it👍🏴
The amount of time and customization you put into each part was inspiring! I kept thinking it would be finished but it just kept going until literally every piece of the bike was completely reworked and customized. And that choice of green is fantastic! It resembles Aston Martin.
Thank you so much! When I become a little more knowledgeable I’d like to play with the cooling system and get rid of the chunky air box. I’m glad you like the green as well. I was a bit on the fence about it.
Super glad I could shine some light on the K bike platform. You won’t regret it if you find yourself with one. Thank you for the comment and good luck with the next build!
Ehm, if you buy one, look for a police K75. I owned a military police K1100 and these government BMW's have more horsepower, AND the driveshaft ratio is different: you get more revs and that means power. Do not buy the civil bikes, these are tame, so to speak. They are!
Beautiful bike! Cafe bikes are the most aesthetic bikes IMO. Yours ranks up there with the professional builds I’ve seen on YT. Nice to see the whole family and friends involved in bringing this to life. Fantastic work!
im looking at buying my first bike, and seeing stuff like this makes me realize i can honestly get any bike to look like a naked bike (what i want) but just taking off the front shit. that makes my options for buying used much more broad lol
Yeah for sure. Just about any bike can look a little more aggressive with some stripping of the fairings and a few essential new parts like clip-ons and rear sets.
Congratulations man. I like your style. Honda S2000 sports car and custom BMW bike. I dream of owning those machines. Someday a cheap r90, k75 or k100s will cross my path and I'll be started on my quest. You are inspiring.
Beautiful bike, needs some spoke wheels, that’s the only thing I’d do different. Looked like you and your family had a blast and created not just a amazing bike, but some great memories.
Agreed! I’m hoping to get some here eventually. Little bit limited on options with how thin the space is with the single swing in the back and exhaust hugging the other side. I appreciate the compliment!
I hear you. I know they are great bikes as is but I wasn’t looking for a comfortable touring bike when I bought it. I was looking for a great cafe candidate to be used as a cafe racer.
Mannnn!!!just came across your TH-cam.amazing job!!!!it's a good looking bike and a great project you did!good job!!!I'm so impressed,I wouldn't be able to build one like that, can I just buy it off you instead?😅just kiddiing.great work man!from AUSTRALIA HERE.

When you put on the fiberglass for the pipes, soak them in water first, this wil make them easier to work with en when fixed and dry they will tighten up on the pipes, tip for the next project.
