My Xbox one power supply AC adaptor blew a short circuit while I play NASCAR heat 5 I tried to get it working again but it still remains on standby mode in orange and it isn't serviceable or repairable what should I do?

regarding your question: you most have blown the main transformer and that is not repairable and it is cheaper to buy a new one than repair it.

I have a Xbox 360 slim. His power supply is orange. When I press the on button, the red light of the power supply turns on. I have only the +5V at the red wire. When I short the PS ON, I should find +12V at the yellow wire, but not. There is not +12V.
I measured and changed the 4 capacitors of 1500 uF near the output side of the board. (they was almost 1350 uF.
Apparently, there is no one burnt capacitor.
What should I do?

regarding your issue: can you send me an email attached with a photo of insides of your charger, send as many you can parts /closeup and different sides. let me take a look as every charger are a bit different.

so my xbox won’t turn on . like it would turn on the str8 back off . but before i turn it on the box is orange and when i turn it on it goes white then gos str8 back to orange. do i need to get a new xbox or a new box ?

regarding your question: when we get clients with this issue, 90% of the time its the PSU issue and get a psu from amazon and it still not working you can always return it for free.

🫠Regarding your question, if the capacitor head is not bloated or exploded, then the answer is NO. They 99% of the time don't go bad.

I change the same 3 and now when I plug it to the outlet the light go steady orange and when I plug the xbox I go to white then shutdown
you may have a damaged transistors also, thats why when plugged in goes steady orange and replacing the and testing the transistors are a bit dangerous to do, there are two transistor near the 3 caps attached to the aluminum heatsink.
Changed the caps but unfortunately didn't solve the issue with my particular supply. Orange light still goes out.

@@uFixTek Nope, the others look fine. Light is orange and as soon as it's plugged into the console, the light goes off.
There is one capacitor near those three you replaced. It is a 1500uf at 16v. Is it possible to use on of those 2200uf 16v in place of the 1500uf? As i have a bunch of 2200uf

regarding your question: yes you can and it will be just fine, just make sure the voltage is the same or higher

The psu turns a orange light and when i plug into Xbox console the light dies. Maybe i need to replace that 1500uf with exactly the same? Also the console is working as i tested it with another psu.
no then the issue is not from your capacitors, even if you put 1500uf, you could have some transistors blown, you will need to test the transistors or take it to a person that know how to check components. its very cheap to repair with a right person.

@@onasazi hi, 1st of all you should never test them without the fan disconnected, else the circuit wont close and it will keep it self in shutdown mode.
regarding the noise , unfortunately you have a bad copper transformer the big box, that windings on the copper cables are damaged and its making a shorts and it will results in higher voltage and it could damage the console or under-volt the output.
its better and cheaper at this point to replace the PSU , also you ma have damaged the rectifier.:(
Wow this is exactly what happened to mine. Had no idea you could check capacitors so simply. I do tons of soldering and trust this method over the 20$ china knock off bricks

@UFIXTEK i got my caps in finally. Installed them, xbox still does not power on. I noticed now though, the orange light stays on way longer after removing from the power source which is a good sign. I have a few spare caps, im going to try to replace the 1500uf on the side of the other 3, it doesnt look blown but i will try it here. If no power ill report back here
@UFIXTEK yeah, still no power. My light stays orange all the time. Xbox beeps as if its turning on. But power brick never turns white and nothing actually powers up

Hi my xbox power supply brick when I turn my xbox on from orange it goes to white and goes back to orange. After a week or so it starts working again then randomly this happens for some day can you help me fix it please

I need to to check and see if there is no sign of burn on any components, and its very dangerous to tell you to connect the power supply and use a multi-miter to test the transistors, the transistors are the one attached to the aluminum heat-sinks and they are usually go back and do the orange light error. i don't recommend you to test it, its very cheap to get it repair on electronic repair store it should cost your max 10-15usd
@UFIXTEK actually the thing is there isn't any electronic repair shop or something here in United Arab Emirates near me and I can't even order a new one because they make noise and aren't the same as the original xbox one . I'll try to test the transistor but there aren't any burn i could see

hello , this is the easy fix , i have a power supply that has no problem with the capacitors , they are fine , i've changed them anyway but the power supply doesn't work , when i connect it to the xbox the light goes off , what could be the problem ? it could be the mosfets ?
have you tried testing with another power supply, there could be a short in the console.
@@uFixTek i have 4 power bricks with the same problem , that seems to be a common problem ... yes i have tried with another known good power supply and it works..
if your caps are not damaged then you will need a multi-miter in order to test the circuit, be very careful with the big capacitors as they hold a lot of charge and can zap your nicely :P,
let me see if i can open one this week and make a video on how you can test few of the components.
