    This is a textbook example of what the japanese cuisine is and how important techinque is. The chef explains in detail all the passages, with no frills and unuseful chit-chat - as many western chefs sometimes do. The only thing I did not completely understand is how to make the crumble... I guess I'll discover that tonight while making tempura for the first time! :-D

    Love the tutorial. Didnt know you fried the batter before adding the fish. I figured it was just a dip in the batter and drop it in the oil. This is interesting, thanks for the tutorial

    Watched this and decided to try it tonight. It was BRILLIANT !! DELICIOUS and so easy. I have tried to make tempura for many years and couldn't figure out why it wasn't as crunchy and light as I always received when in a restaurant. NOW mine is perfect! THANK YOU SO MUCH| !!

    FANTASTIC instruction for that wonderful crispy tempura!!! I have made tempura for years but it never turned out quite as good as some of the sushi restaurants, now I know why. I never fired the crispy pieces first. Thank you so much for sharing!

    Your step by step tutorial on how to make & fry tempura is fantastic. Easy to follow will def try it soon. Only thing is the amount of flour /water ratio please put the exact ingredients amount on your TH-cam presentation video.

    Finally I learned how to make the tempura "crumbly" on the outside! I was never satisfied with my results because of how it looked so differently from all the photos in the cookbooks.

    Loved watching your tempura lesson - I made my first tempura yesterday with Trident packet mix from the supermarket - it turned out tasty - I will try your recepie next time - great to see how to slice the vegetables and elongate the prawns :)
