    the lumpy idle at 20:07 mark, is that okay with these bikes? I have 00' 600SRAD with 750Y engine in it and it does the same when cold but evens out when fully warmed.

    • @PXCBIKES
      @PXCBIKES  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeh, it's not lumpy idle .. GSXR engines sound like this until the idle speed increases even the carb ones

    My 96 srad has weird issue. It starts and runs great, but as soon as I kill it with hot engine it won’t start again until it cools down. I was thinking it’s battery related so I put today brand new battery went for a ride and when I stopped and try to start again it just won’t start and 10min later it starts with no issues whatsoever. I send it to service two weeks ago and picked up today ending up paying half of the value for lots of work, all carbs got new parts, cleaning and so on and guys in service couldn’t figure out the problem. Im running out of ideas and don’t want to give it to service again to change things for thousand euros again just to get it back with same problem. Any ideas what can be the problem? Thanks in advance

      Have you replaced the Regulator Rectifier?

    • @Around-The-Verse
      @Around-The-Verse 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PXCBIKES No sir I haven’t. I will change it and see if it helps. Thank you

    • @PXCBIKES
      @PXCBIKES  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      First check the. Battery with a multimeter... Set to DC volts and start the bike... The voltage should show 14v...
      The the bike run up to temperature and test it again to see if the voltage drops under 12v..
      Whdn the regulator goes bad it will fail when it gets hot

      @@PXCBIKES got sorted out hot start problem with new set of spark plugs (previous owner probably didn’t change them in years). Now fires up at high temps with no problem.
      Im now trying to sort out second problem. Bike idles at 800rpm and on low speed clutch in it will die on me especially in traffic. So I adjusted today my idle screw while idling bike to 1200rpm but the moment I give some throttle it will hang above 4000k and don’t wanna go back down. I checked the throttle cable it don’t stick and looks to release fine. The only spot where rpm comes down and works is when I adjust idle back to 800rpm (which is wrong)
      Any idea where should I be looking next sir?

    Hi, I have a problem starting my SRAD that’s identical to yours when starting from cold. However, it doesn’t have any issues starting from when it’s warm. Do you reckon that it’s a possibility that I’ve got the same problem? I already replaced the plugs and cleaned up the coils and I’m down to testing the circuits.

    • @PXCBIKES
      @PXCBIKES  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It could be your valve clearances if it is high milage ... or maybe Air temperature sensor... but it is hard to say 😕

      @@PXCBIKEShm. One critical detail I left out is that the previous owner had rear ended a car. the wiring harness is hanging loose as the left fairing and intake partially broke. Will definitely try redoing the wiring as you did it in this video. Thanks from across the pond! If it’s alright with you could we exchange emails?

    99 FI gsxr 750 idle jumps up and down inconsistent and bogs at full throttle

    • @PXCBIKES
      @PXCBIKES  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh, it would be difficult to diagnose without being with the bike ... but it could be an air pressure sensor or an air temp sensor ..

      Yes the idle it's fine until it goes up to temperature then the idle jumps from 1,500rpm to 2,000rpm and when I twist the throttle it bogs

      Hi Rowan I did repair and service people's bikes and also restore them... Plus my own to sell.
      But recently I have stopped taking on work as I have many projects of my own to work on so I need to clear up some space...
      I have worked on many bikes over the years but I don't make videos because I need to get things done on time.
