      My biggest mistake selling that one I sold it to find a low milage one in the same or better condition but never did 😞

    Hello mate....i have a 2000 model srad with only 2600 miles from new. It starts and runs but will not rev over 8k if i apply throttle fast. It will kreep over if i hold the throttle and cokes it over but bogs at 8k revs and has the odd backfire.
    Any idea what it could be? Ive changed the plugs, filter oil and filter etc!?
    Its driving me mad as the bike is all original & immaculate and deserves to be ridden.
    Please help mate.
    Thanks
    Mark

      Hi Mark do you know how to set the bike into diagnostic mode?.. It is hard for me to solve the problem without seeing the bike... This problem could be several causes..
      Like faulty TPS, Air preasure sensor, Air temperature sensor, fuel pump etc.... I am on instagram it is better to chat on there

    I have a 99 fi 750 gsxr but have had to install a 2000 carb 600 motor . I was wondering if its possible to use the fi gauges with the carb motor?. Main thing is the temperature gauge. Really cant afford to get a separate gauge and sensors. I have the gauge from fi and thermostat housing with fi sensors. If you have any info could you please give me a little light on the issue

      I think they should as they both are analogue.... It shouldn't be a problem but its something I haven't tried 🤔 the 750 and 600 has the same instruments I believe

    Did you consider replacing the spade connectors for new or even removing and hard wiring to remove the connector all together? Bad joint in that connector was probably reason for excess heat/melting? Just a thought.

    • @PXCBIKES
      @PXCBIKES  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I have done many things with stator wiring and connectors in the past you are right if the connectors create high resistance then this will happen.... Alsi if the bike is left to idle for way too long then the heat will just build up and start to melt the insulation and blocks if they have regular care then it should be OK but for this video I only used what I had immediately in the garage.... I have converted regulators to mosfet on other bikes but this will be a future vid.. 👍

      Yeh I had to totally rewire our ducatis in the past and my 1198 wiring was awful I removed the stator wiring and replaced It with a thicker gauge with better insulation the relocated the rectifier under the nose clamps as ducati fit them beside the exhaust header so they just burn out all the time .... the 5jj R1's have bad stator wiring and too small regulators so I have rewired ours aswell but not so many problems with the suzukis or the kawasaki at all

      Remove the seat...and the rectifier is located inside the seat fairing panel.. left hand side of bike at on the subframe

      Hello Bud do you mean the Regulator Rectifier?....
      If so trace the wiring from the Magneto and it should lead you straight to it.... The magneto or stator connects direct to the Reg Rec...

      @THE PROJECT-X-CHANNEL thank you. Just picked up a 98 on a crazy deal because it's a bit of a basket case. Just trying to find out what's missing by using your video. Pretty sure I'm missing the voltage regulator, some seat brackets, and maybe brackets for the fairings up front, and the rear seat/cowl. But that's just from brief glances as I had other stuff going on in the day.

    • @PXCBIKES
      @PXCBIKES  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ah there are plenty of used parts online but get them quick as these bikes are increasing in value fast so the parts will follow

    • @JustinJoyinglife
      @JustinJoyinglife ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @THE PROJECT-X-CHANNEL she's a pretty complete bike visually. Looks like the sub frame wiring at the rectifier and back was hacked apart so I have to figure out the rear wiring and then hopefully be able to clean up the mess. It's not terrible, but we'll see.

      If the wiring is cut then grab a multimeter then put the ground lead to the frame or metal component on the bike.. The black wires in the harness are ground wires... Take the positive probe then start probing the wires whilst activating various switches like brake lights or turn signals etc.. If you activate a switch and see 12vdc on the multimeter then you can identify that specific wire
