‘This’ is what we are waiting for.. love the older stuff, the best BBB 🙌🏼😎 Edit: 2 months later.. and I have added a ‘98 SRAD to my garage.. Thanks fellas 😄
After wanting a SRAD for years just bought one last week 97 600, currently getting mot ready and safe to ride as was sat in a garage 10 years, then respray over winter I can't wait
I have a 98 Srad 750, loving the 44 teeth budget bike battle content loads. I have just done one complete k6 1000 front end swap, forks yokes, wheel etc, with gsxr brembo radial calipers, race clip-on to miss the clocks, and 19x20 brembo master cylinder, all titanium bolts/fastners. Ohlins rear shock, wow what a difference.
Anthony, I have a 98 srad 750, how much effort was it? And is it that much better?. I'm after a few mods to upgrade the old girl, had to sell my k1rr for family issues, so thought I'd relive my youth and got a srad. Got a k6 arse end now on it. Still have the original to convert if needed, just trying to mod the old girl. Was it easy? Want to try the k5 headers(loved that bike) and see how cams go on this video. If you could just let me know if worth the effort I'd appreciate any feedback pal. Cheers.
My first quick bike was an SRAD era GSX-R 750. The original BBB is what got me into 44teeth. Absolutely love the channel guys and the SRAD will always have a place in my heart.
I love 90s/00s Suzukis for how easy upgrades are. I've got an SV1000 with a full K6 GSXR 750 front end, bolted straight in and it's a black frame/bodywork model and the forks are black so it looks like a proper sleeper. Also uses the exact same wheels as my K5 750 track bike, which is great if I ever fancy doing a track day on the SV again, I can just chuck the track wheels in.
I am incredibly excited for this, the OG BBB bikes coming back as project bikes is genius, love this era of bike as a rowdy Sunday morning runner and track bike
Power commander, dyno set up, k&n filter, TRE and decent exhaust a 750 SRAD will stay with the best of them on a public road. I love mine, have kept it since 2002 and been through 2 Fireblades, a 916 an R1 and a ZX10. The SRAD is staying ! lol. I love it.
My first memories of the Srad where my mate highsiding and having the new bike land on his wrist. Smashy smashy time.luckily for him he defied science and his wrist miraculously mended.
Can't wait for the dyno run with the new headers!! Don't forget to not fix the starter, I want to see when Chris hits on the idea of letting you push-start your own bike with him on it! :D Hope to see ZX7R Upgrades, too (like a beer can muffler)! Seriously can't wait for another BBB!!
If its of interest to you I've done similar, I run K6 1000 forks in my K3 750 race bikes, one with an ohlins kit and one with maxton. I kept the standard K3 yokes as the K6 yokes are a different rake angle so I didn't want to mess around with that. I got around the length change by making the tops of the tubes flush with the top yoke. K9 1000 calipers are a worthwhile upgrade as they are monoblock and a perfect combination with an Accossato master cylinder. This combo has enough power to lift the rear into turn one at Snetterton with two fingers in the lever.
How i love these old superbikes. Hope you guys do something together with the rsv mille the 916 and the zx7r. And give boothy some budget to get his budget superbike 😍. Can't wait on the updates
Cracking videos! Awesome to see the old girl getting treats. Look forward to next update. I have a 96 SRAD 750, may try header swap, will look at your link pipe idea to use thanks 😊
Test drove a modified Srad 600 once. So heavenly modded only made power higher up. Completely dead below 6000 and rattled to pieces. Always loved the look, but that test ride put me off completely. Hopefully a well kept 750 would be better. The K6 was the best though.
The cable tie on the battery was put there just to get it back to you not as a permanent fix as it came to me with no terminal connectors atall, I've still got the totally fucked steering damper that was pretty much like cruz control for steering as it was so shagged, tho I never rode the bike.. and the bent rear wheel spindle is kicking about somewhere to..
Sweet. Looking forward to seeing that take a few laps. Where I am, we have a couple feet of snow blocking the garage (and more on the way) and there's no way anyone is putting 2 wheels on the road this week. Have you ever noticed that, when you haven't ridden in a month, how hard it is to not get another bike? Your vids help keep the anxiousness from taking over.
YES!!!! (Fist pump) FKN love to see the older stuff getting a make over especially when it's dripping wet....Keep it up lads "Jizzy Jizzy let's get busy"
When I did the fork swap on mine, I had to get some 2mm spacer's for the disc's to line up with the radial calipers. I have a spare set if you need them?
Had me an 99srad7fitty 15 years ago....great bike. Now have a k2 1000.....such good bikes. Suzuki always gets picked on for not changing much for years, the upside is more parts are available than a 1 year only upgrade bike. Plus newer model Suzuki’s parts can be fitted with bugger all mods. Go team GSXR.
I've just been getting into making a high mount link pipe for the akra in my rsv4, sbk style and looking a bit out the back further than the fairing and now I watch this vid where you talk about doing it on the srad what a coincidence
So,you going to delete connection pipes, right? between #2 #3 meant. i did that on stock collector. the only upper-one is actually a pipe. the rear pipe is just sorta strength rod. its mission - to reduce noise for small price, btw.
Great to see the the very best of the BBBB's finally getting prepared for the re-run (although I'm anticipating the ZX7R's gonna be fitted with an Akra full system & a set of H/C pistons - at the very least). Oh, and it's good to see those expensive new oe fork stanchions you previously purchased didn't go to waste, Al! 😉
Ti fighter for sure! The engine sounds twitchy 😱 as he's flexing the throttle on the Dyno! So, you going to use 7.50" unit in the *BIG TT competition?!* 🤣👍🏼
Watching this video has made me as happy as when I'm stuffing my face with battenburg cake!!! Looking forward to seeing the mighty SRAD with all those moist mods...
Are the k 6 and 7 gsxr 600 forks not shorter than the 750 forks. I remember having a detailed suzuki forks swap chart when I did the swap in my tl1000r track build. If I recall correctly the 750 forks are 15mm longer for more adjustment in the tree.
‘This’ is what we are waiting for.. love the older stuff, the best BBB 🙌🏼😎
Edit: 2 months later.. and I have added a ‘98 SRAD to my garage.. Thanks fellas 😄
I never thought I'd be one of these saddos but seeing an upload from 44teeth properly brightens up my day!
Truth hurts :)
Don’t think that’s very sad tbh, being excited for a good form of entertainment is only natural
You're not the only one !
Your not alone!!!
When tv is filled with so much generic garbage, quality like this really does shine and makes peoples day.
Litterally my favourite type of content. Everyone....and I mean everyone will be on ebay after watching this
100%
Looking at a couple of beauties
Just put a deposit down, delivery next week. To be fair I've been looking since BBB1.
I did just that lol... bought a ‘98 750W SRAD, 16k miles, completely original.. minty mint 🤍💙Getting delivered next Friday 😁
@@woooster17 ah man, very excited for you!
@@M1K3R0LPH Cheers Mike.. once its delivered I'll bang some pics on IG 👍

Brilliant!! Can't wait to see these beasts back in action

118 whp on a 25 year old bike is pretty decent. Love this content. I had the brown sugar/gold version. Great bike!
My first quick bike was an SRAD era GSX-R 750. The original BBB is what got me into 44teeth. Absolutely love the channel guys and the SRAD will always have a place in my heart.
Awesome video!!! These are the best videos you guys are making! Please continue with this format.
We are privileged to be in this corner of the interwebs, thanks again.

Lads you've done it again.. made my day
Love the SRAD's, video brings back memories of mine. Had a 1999 600 SRAD with a nice Micron on there. Lovely handling bike.
Just watched the first BBB a couple of days ago for the first time. One of the best series on TH-cam 😂
Ah, trying to win Growler of the week..........
I do love a SRAD. And I love even more what you’re doing to this one. Great job, great channel.
This is going to be an interesting series.. I ride a 2000ZX12R with major updates done to it, and it is now a weapon.
I am incredibly excited for this, the OG BBB bikes coming back as project bikes is genius, love this era of bike as a rowdy Sunday morning runner and track bike

These budget bike battles are epic content!
Let Boothy do a lap somewhere on that when it's finished and compare it to a modern superbike 😃
Boothy would only dump it down the road.
@@stephensmith7651 He might be ok it's not a child's toy😃
Make sure to put tyre warmers on first! 😂
My first memories of the Srad where my mate highsiding and having the new bike land on his wrist. Smashy smashy time.luckily for him he defied science and his wrist miraculously mended.
Love watching videos of old bikes. Not everyone can afford the latest and greatest
I remember when the SRAD first came out, great bike. Felt like my RGV weight wise but like a rocket ship power wise.
Great to see a video that ain't just new bikes. Its awesome doing up older stuff. Thanks for the video
Improving old bikes using quality gear. I love it!
Always enjoy seeing you guys wrenching in the JHS Workshop with james.
It will like cams and wheels. Latest inlet that you can find and use the previous generation inlet as an exhaust usually works.
Had 2 of the 600 cc srads still one of the best handling bikes I've ever owned! First bike I got my knee down on as well 🤟🏻

Amazing content as always, SRAD looking mint!
Always fun when I see you guys post new content. Quality!
BBB!! What more could you want?? Bring it on boys!!!
Don’t ya just love James, where would you be without JHS🤔
He is a legend!!
quintessential 44teeth quality!!!!! love it
Budget, as in Superbike racing budget, bike battle reloaded ... love the mods ... all the cool tracked SRADs have them.
How i love these old superbikes. Hope you guys do something together with the rsv mille the 916 and the zx7r. And give boothy some budget to get his budget superbike 😍. Can't wait on the updates
Coming together nicely!!!!
Is there an update on the fork and exhaust mod? Can't seem to find it
Nice... looking like you are doing it properly Jason
James is so funny great sense of humour and great mechanic etc ... great video
Always here to watch lovely and crazy ideas about bikes. I hope you also feature 2004 CBR 1000RR for budget bikes. I love 44Teeth
I remember sitting on that beast at Thruxton back in the old day's. When you could leave the house.
Love the 90s bikes up to around 2001 bikes. Just you and the bike, if you get it wrong no electronics is gonna get you out of it
Cracking videos! Awesome to see the old girl getting treats. Look forward to next update. I have a 96 SRAD 750, may try header swap, will look at your link pipe idea to use thanks 😊
I have a 7R and a 2015 10R, it would be nice to see you guys chatting about how you adopt your riding styles for the +20 yr difference in tech

118 was already amazing for a 750, keep in mind, thats on the rear wheel

I love that Srad!
Accidently watched BBB on my phone when my gf sat next to me, now every time i watch 44t she screams "benidoooorm" 👀😂

I’ve just refallen in love with my old 2008 K8 750, I forgot how good it is.😜

Looking forward to the 2nd 1/2 of this video and ZX-7 content.

Any chance of a upgrade parts list for that wee beauty can't wait to see the exhaust system

I love old bike care!
classic dyno technique
9 minutes of entertainment whilst I was on the bog. Thanks Nige
I could do with those forks for my SV!
