On the matter of the clocks and Ouroboros, I think the clocks are set and they determine the span of each person's life, and going Ouroboros means you're refilling it with ether so you live beyond your expiration date, thus Eunie's line about refilling the clocks.
@@linkalot7415 Now that I look at it more though I think they have clocks in both eyes but the red filter is obstructing their vision from their “dominant eye” and therefore causing them to see “the shadow” in everyone else not in their world(causing a war obviously). In the fusions you can see Noah’s right eye glowing blue and Mio’s left eye glowing yellowish green because they are basically seeing and thinking everything that the other person is by peering into them with those eyes(as opposed to being obstructed by the red eye)

The stuff on the left are the Fusion arts. You press ZR and a face button to perform a fusion art attack, which will link the art with the art you are performing. This allows you to essentially perform the art with your controlled character. Glow Ring and Wide Slash are Mio's arts. So say you are going to be hit by an attack. If you press ZR and Y, Noah will perform a fusion art with Sword Strike and Wide Slash, giving him Evasion for the duration of Sword Strike's animation. Wide Slash would then go on cooldown.
Each character seems to have 6 arts plus the blade combo. Keves characters have 3 round art icons next to the blade combo icon while Agnus' characters have square art icons, let's call these main arts, I theorize each nation's main arts work like they did in their respective original game (Round arts have timer cooldown, square arts have auto-attack cooldown), but all will have the same effect of charging the blade combo, also, blade combos do not have elemental trees anymore, so they work more like in Torna. Conversely, each character also has 3 arts of the other country connected to the Interlink icon, which I theorize they are learning from their bonded partner as part of the whole fusion theme, this would also explain why these arts charge the Interlink on a narrative level, as using the arts of the other nation would symbolize a coming together of both, thus Ouroboros. Each couple's Ouroboros seemingly also has its own arts, separate from each of the halves. The driver combo is also back but it adds daze so now the structure of the full combo is likely to be break>daze>topple>launch>smash. Also, on Manana and Riku, I wouldn't discount them having an Ouroboros or something similar later in the game given the parallels to Xenogears.
Regarding Manana being a male, I don't think that's accurate. Japanese often omits pronouns, and since machine translations don't always have context, they usually default to a random pronoun. Source: Can speak some Japanese.
