  • @kingcobra-gaming2341
    @kingcobra-gaming2341 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    You should upgrade the intercooler stage 3 tune substantially increases boost pressure and that generates a metric ton of heat from the turbine spooling up. You’re negating the effects of the increase boost pressure with all the extra exaust heat. Also having a stock muffler configuration while doing this also hinders performance and efficiency… I have a 2020 2.0 6speed with no catalytic converter no mufflers and upgraded intercooler pushes by 381 at the wheel at the dyno with stage 3. Also removing the catalytic converter also gives you the ability to control fuel trims without damaging anything. If I’m taking long trips where MPG is important I will revert it to a custom tune with boost pressure set at the lowest 10PSI and running 19:1 A/F Gets 46MPG freeway. Or increase it to 12:1 A/F To get more power while preventing cylinder knock

    • @DanVilla7
      @DanVilla7  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Great info. An intercooler is on my list. I've had a catted downpipe and recently added a front pipe. I just tried the 3" dc sporst system and pulled it off was too loud for me. Id rather sacrifice the minimal performance gain from an exhaust in exchange for every day comfort.

    • @kingcobra-gaming2341
      @kingcobra-gaming2341 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Catted downpipe doesn’t do much compared to leaving it stock I put an RV6 exaust header to remove the catalytic converter and removed mufflers that’s it and it loykey sounds great light noise just has a perrr in my opinion. High RPM it’s loud but not obnoxious. The larger factory dual pipes really help reduce noise

      @@kingcobra-gaming2341 hi, i have a 2.0 2021 honda accord sport and i already have a muffler and res delete. I wanted to go catless but the only reason i haven’t been doing it is cuz people with the same setup have told me that the gas mileage gets real bad when u do go Catless.
      Another question i had is that do you think have a muffler and resonator delete on a stock tune would damage the engine in the long run because of more air flow? Some people have said that to me but im not sure if its actually possible.
      I was thinking about going with the borla exhaust but decided to just get a muffler and res delete since it was a quarter of the price and it sounds exactly same like my friend’s borla exhaust setup so i dont see the point towards spending 1k to grt the same sound coming out.
      Would you recommend getting a tune first or putting an actual exhaust system on my car if the back pressure can hurt my engine

    • @kingcobra-gaming2341
      @kingcobra-gaming2341 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@desioasis2378 the factory tune was designed to operate with the muffler and resonator attached. I removed my catalytic converter and mufflers entirely then tuned my vehicle. I seen a significant increase in MPG with my vehicle, however I specifically designed it for MPG and not power. Power always suffers reduced fuel efficiency. It should be tuned for it to run the most efficient, but It will not damage the engine with the factory tune.

    How long do these cars last when tuned like this? I've been wanting to get an Accord and tune it but I also need it as a daily and would like it to last me a good 200k miles

    • @ROBMACDUI
      @ROBMACDUI 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Honestly it only requires a few things to last besides not abusing it daily. 1. Change your oil every 4k miles 2. Change trans fluid every 30-40k miles 3. 93+ octane required to prevent knock when tuned, especially on the phearable tunes. Likely failures later in life will be head gasket, oem turbo failing, and possible injectors unless you regularly use a fuel additive with PEA in it. I’ve been tuned since 30k miles and it has 62k now. Zero issues so far following those recommendations.

    When it comes to phearable stage 3 you don’t have to go to a dyno right? You’ll just purchase the tune with your ktuner v1.2 or v2 and download it? And if that’s the case it should be cheaper then stage 2 cause you aren’t using their dyno? (I ask because I want to see which route I’ll go with for my car)

    • @DanVilla7
      @DanVilla7  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to purchase a ktuner then add the phearable stage 3 file to it. Wheb you get a ktuner its preloaded with stage 1 and 2 and have the ability to make some changes to each. Using an ots flash has nothing to do with dyno testing. You can do that on your own to get power figures or if you go to a tuner for a custom tune

    what’s up Dan. Question, how ktuner stage 2 has a duel setting which targets certain boost in eco mode. Does phearable have the same? mine 2.0 is stock, never tuned before and I ordered phearable stage 3 but i’m gonna be running on eco mode normally. what psi boost would it target in eco mode vs normal vs sport?

      Should really get a downpipe when going stage2 just beware the 1.5 cvt can't handle a lot of extra power so be careful

      @@obeyisaac6635 you can, but from what I heard with the cvt stage 1 is the best safest option if your looking for some extra power. It just wasn't designed for all that extra tq. But at the end of the day your car your needs and wants it's all up to you.

      You don't have to go back to stock just create a new tune file with all the tweaks you want then reflash.

    I just installed this tune and it’s great. My k con goes up whenever I drive the car hard though. Did a 60 to 120 pull and it read .91. Have you had the same experience?

    • @DanVilla7
      @DanVilla7  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's getting high. Not all 93 octane is created equal. Try a different gas station and test your results or you can always add 1.5 gallons of e85 to a full tank of premium fuel
