    The real issue is not having them detect how many times the car has been flashed as much as when you put it back to stock they can look and see the car has only been started a handful of times...meaning if the car has 10k miles on it, but at the dealer its showing the car has been started only 7 times ever they know you've messed with it. That's how they know. How to defeat that? Easy. You need on/off cycles to be logged. so you start/shut down/restart the car a couple hundred times before going in for warranty work.

    • @DanVilla7

    So, i dont have an accord, rather a 2020 Ranger XLT sport with the 2.3 ecoboost. I was originally tuned until the rear dif started making noise so i switched back to stock. Then when i found out the Burger tuning has a JB4 for a ranger of all things i decided to give it a go. I 100 percent agree about a flash tune being better over all, but since we really dont know much regarding reliability for these i decided to try the jb4. Everything you compared i agree with but allow me to add a couple things. Flash tune= can adjust transmission shiftpoints, torque management, pressures, disable skip shift (ranger among others had the 10 speed). The JB4 doesnt do that and because of this a jb4 car is often slower than a protuned car. Other than that. I have no complaints lol. Truck still moves out pretty compared to my previous pro tune, just not as fast. Which is ok lol

    • @DanVilla7
      @DanVilla7  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't even realize they offered a jb4 for the ranger, they are really spreading their wings im the automotive world. Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do with transmission tuning with the Accord via flash tune like other makes, kinda stinks. Atleast the transmission is pretty responsive as is.

    Nice review Dan! Glad your happy with the Ktuner. Ktuner also uses the factory safety features such to control knock. So if you get bad gas its not the end of the world. Knock control will retard timing per norm you just wont get the performance. I don't believe you need an extra tune either to run E. There's a setting to enable flex fuel and as long as you have the added kit which has the ethanol sensors. All good stuff! I'm in the process of working w/ Derek Robinson on a custom tune... Having run Ktuner for 2 years I can tell you that's the next step IMO. Enjoy the car! @TOURING18

      It turns the light off because your turning that particular monitor off. For me it's the p0139 code. This is what the P0139 code means. P0139 is the OBD-II generic code indicating that the O2 sensor for bank 1 sensor 2 failed to have a voltage drop below . 2 volts for 7 seconds during a deceleration fuel cut off. This failure shows that the engine control module (ECM) has determined the sensor response is too slow.

I’m in the Dallas Fort Worth Texas area.. not hardly anybody doing tuning down here so there aren’t very many options was far as getting the most out of the Ktuner. But what I wanted to ask you about the Ktuner...how many tunes are loaded on the KT when you bought?? Since you have installed it, are you using one of the out of the box tunes or have you taken your car and had it Dyno tuned? I had heard that the stage 2 is a decent basic tune,, is that what you were running in your KT videos?? If so, which JB4 tune would you compare the KT stage 2 with?? I’m leaning towards the KT but like I said not very good tuners in the area..
