    Thanks Chad for the video. Been watching you for a couple months now since I got my 21 Touring. Hey Chad, great video on recapping everything that you have done. I've been watching your videos since I got my 21 2.0t sports. I've done mainly cosmetic mods like the red H emblem, illuminated door sills, and wheels (Titan-7 TS5 18x9.5 +40). You should try AutoX since you have upgraded springs and rear sway bar, I've tried it a few times and I was surprised how well it can move for a larger vehicle.

    I enjoy watching your channel and content especially because it gives me tips and ideas about my own car. I drive a 2020 Platinum White Pearl Accord EXL 2.0 with the 10 speed automatic. (I believe 2020 was the last year that the EXL was offered in the EXL trim.) Exterior mods: black vinyl wrapped roof, black vinyl wrapped diffuser panel, B & C pillars and total chrome delete in black vinyl including the front bumper. De-badged “Accord & 2.0T” and replaced the front and back “H” badges in black. Smoked vinyl overlays on the headlights, fog lights, rear reflectors, reverse and turn signal lenses. OEM deck lid spoiler, rear window spoiler and OEM mud flaps. Chassis tuning: Eibach lowering springs, Eibach front and rear sway bars, SPC rear camber kit, Ultra Racing front strut bar, rear subframe torsion bar & front power bar. Hasport upper engine torque mount. (I had the Hasport lower engine mount installed but couldn’t live with the excessive vibration so I removed it.) Under the hood: Mishimoto oil catch can. Lighting: Replaced all interior lights with LED, installed LED footwell lights front and rear. Replaced reverse and turn signals with LED bulbs. Wheels and tires: Mortegi Racing wheels wrapped in 17’ 235 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 Ultra High Performance summer tires. My modifications are mostly focused on aesthetics and handling as I am hesitant to flash the ECU in the short term. I do plan on upgrading my intercooler next summer though.

      @@TheLemonFactor I didn't want to spend a ton of money on summer tires and the Indy 500's are a relatively inexpensive option. They get positive reviews and I'm quite satisfied with them. I have a 2018 Civic Si and all I've done is a 27Won Performance cold air intake, Ktuner v2 with TSP stage 1, and an ACT clutch kit. I am planning to do a Mishimoto front mount intercooler. As far as wheels and tires, I went with a set of 18" bronze Motegi Traklites. They are 8 lbs lighter per wheel than the stock units and are quite affordable. The game changer was the tires. I went with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's. The handling went through the roof! It feels like I own a Type R now! The tires are a bit pricey, but I feel safer going fast around corners with these. They do not squeal under hard cornering and help out a lot with digs. I can't wait to see what you chose!

    Wanna recommend upgrading the upper and lower engine torque mounts for your car. There are aftermarket options, but I went with the upgraded ones from Honda directly that come from the 2.0t manual engine, mostly cause Im a tech for Honda and have a discount lol. But after upgrading them my wheel hop/wheel spin was greatly reduced on my 2.0t, pair that with lighter wheels, and better tires and you'll be set my friend. @@TheAss3t it makes a difference when your aiming for every last bit and as a tuner I can say comfortably that when dyno tuned we can usually get more on site. Getting a catted downpipe is typically a waste in our experience but we understand some just have too due to where they live.

      @TheAss3t ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Realistically there's really no reason to go non-catted unless you're upgrading the turbo. Squeezing an extra 5-10hp out of a stock turbo car for an extra ~$1100 (tune+downpipe) seems like a waste to me. That's assuming you do the labor yourself.

    Being the 10th GEN Honda Accord 2.0 turbo sport is some sort of a Dtuned type R, is there any fear of head gasket failures? A lot of posters on the accord channels seem to have tuned and boosted their engines to where head gasket issues may become a problem. In the smaller turbo charged engines mated to a CVT blown Head gaskets are an issue. just wondering how safe you can push the accord sport before coolant starts disappearing. I don't know if the Accord sport is using the same head studs as a civic type R.

    Chad I have another question. I don't know anything about this Flex Fuel this wasn't really around when I was tuning back in the early 2000s. If I'm filling up my tank from say just under a quarter tank does it matter when I put the gallon or two of ethanol in? Like should I always put it in first or does it matter to top it off with ethanol? You think I'll be able to feel a little better acceleration?

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  ปีที่แล้ว

      The real benefit of E85 is when used with the Flex Fuel kit and Flex Fuel tune, so you can read the ethanol content and the tune can compensate for it. Unless you're having high K.con levels and trying to lower them with a little E, I wouldn't bother. With that said, I don't really know if the timing matters... I've always added the E85 first, then topped off with the 91/93 octane. Sounds like a good test to see if it does - the KTuner does show your ethanol content when enabled, so it would be an easy test to find out how quickly the sensor picks-up on the mixture.

    • @ItsPeek
      @ItsPeek 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thefatalsytheit allows more airflow since exhausts from factory are very restrictive due to emissions. Aftermarket companies all compete to make the best exhaust to upgrade to. Certain people think oem(a.k.a factory) parts are always better. That’s not always the case since the manufacturer don’t focus on performance, these aftermarket companies do. Slapping on an aftermarket part has little to no effect or even a negative effect to the vehicle if not tuned properly due to the computer system (ecu) is confused on why the ratio of air, fuel etc…( essentially all mixtures in a combustible engine) aren’t the same from factory. Yes, the 1.5L Accord seems to be having a higher rate of head gasket failures than the 2.0L. As such, I wouldn’t recommend any power adders unless the head gasket is addressed. In addition, the 1.5L’s CVT transmission is a weak link when adding additional power.

      😕. Does Honda have something comparable in Europe?

      @@TheLemonFactor the last one was the Accord CU2 (known as Acura TSX 2G in the US) we got only the Civics, including Type-R and the SUVs like CR-V and so on. So really nothing comparable to an Accord

      I’m surprised by that! It is a great car, but there’s plenty of cars that Europe has that never found their way to the U.S. I guess we’ll have to live vicariously through one another 🤷‍♂️

      I’ve heard that they help, but based on my experience, I’d rather not introduce any additional noise or vibration to the car.
