It was quite annoying for you to move the pieces on the demonstration board for your analysis and then reset them back to the game. It was very difficult to tell when the position on the demonstration board was the actual game position.

After Kasparov's last move Re7+, the black king can no longer defend the rook on f3. Next move white will simply capture black's rook and white will be up a rook, a bishop and very soon will have a new queen on the board.. so black decided to resign the game, hence giving white the win.
Not surprised..tends to happen when hikaru actually plays good players instead of playing against casuals online lol.

There was not much left to prove. He won all the tournaments he wanted, many multiple times, he holds the record for longest time at number one, and his rating was similar to Magnus in terms of being 30-50 ELO points higher than the next highest player. This current chess era is a bit less interesting due to heavy dependence on chess engine analysis that makes any casual person seem like a genius. You see it in all the videos where someone comments "what a bad move, if they did this, that and the other they would win" and they pretend that they just casually came up with that and not their best friend StockFish.
@@deanwilliams433 the current chess era is much more interesting. now there is much more competition, more types of chess in which there is also serious competition. in the era of Kasparov, Kasparov was simply better than everyone else, it's boring

Kasparov retired due to political ambition in Russia. But he still plays casual games just not chasing after tournaments and Fide titles. Kasparov in his youth is the goat.

Fischer is overrated. Fischer wanted to play weaker chess players like spassky. After Fischer quit chess he knew he cant handle stronger opponents like Kasparov. 😢

I don't understand why black resigned
White about to convert his pawn to a queen before black had a chance to - game over especially with the extra bishop on the board anyways.
The big board is half a step behind so they never show it on that. But if you look at the small live chess board, Kasparov moves his rook one to the right putting it in front of Hikaru queen.
The queen has to move , therefore exposing Hikarus rook to be taken.
Once taken, Kasparov would get his pawn upgraded.
Bcoz white rook check black king..n black king must away from black rook..so white king will kill black rook..n white pawn will be new queen..one step..
