    Kramnik misunderstands the meaning of the accuracy number. A high score doesn't mean top computer moves, simply logical moves in relation to the positions. I have 1825 Elo in Lichess. • @QuinnArgo
      @QuinnArgo หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      Also there's a certain bend to accuracy. I have games with like 98% accuracy not because I am a great engine-level player but because sometimes I am up 1 or 2 Pawns early and I play down my advantage somewhat accurately. If my opponents resigned early, making these games last 20 instead of 60+ moves, I'd have a significantly lower accuracy.

      Accuracy skews if your opponent blunders and blunders early. Because now the moves become quite obvious. If you drop a piece against a 1900 player early in the game, chances are they'll convert quite easily and have a high accuracy. But if the game was fairly even and a 50+ mover and you're playing a player 200/300+ stronger than you and both are above 2000 it starts becoming more suspicious.

    • @donramanayake1505

      Exactly. Its a function of how your opponent plays, and the position as well. Having the same accuracy against a GM in a complicated position of course is not possible (for me).

    This whole situation is sad. I don't blame anyone for being paranoid about cheating online. At first I was willing to give Kramnik the benefit of the doubt given his skill is way beyond mine, maybe he was noticing things that I wasn't. What turned me against him was when I saw him blocking people before even analyzing the game, seeing that they clearly weren't cheating, and not even bothering to unblock them or apologize, let alone retract his accusation to his own stream. There were only two options: Kramnik is right or his opponent wasn't cheating, but there was no option for Kramnik to be wrong and he wasn't capable of admitting it. Hope he steps away from online chess and gets some fresh air, if you're really concerned that so many players are cheating that is the sane thing to do. Also sad for the players who legitimately beat him to have their victory cheapened like that.
