Given the circumstances at the time, I wish I was nowhere near the place on both days, and sadly things got much worse for our family, beyond retrieval. However, during a time of darkness and great pain in the lives of children and teenagers and their families, Colin came and lit up their world for a few hours , relaxed, friendly , interested , caring , knowledgeable , with great generosity (including Vanloads of expensive gifts), and with NO pr ligs , photographers or media plugs , he has warmed the weary hearts of thousands of very sick children in hospital at Christmas. ❤❤❤ Mr Gleeson seems like a nice guy too👏👏👏

This was a pretty wholesome monologue! I enjoyed it! I've always enjoyed Brendan Gleeson's legendary performances in those movies that i kinda recall that i kinda liked :D Colin Farrell is also one of my favs to watch on screen. Talk about two of the most down to earth actors! The Irish accents are a pure delight to hear!
Been a fan of both of these guys since the very early work of their careers and it's wonderful to see how far they've both come. Truly two of the greatest Irish actors; I can't wait to see the new movie- these two plus McDonagh is a magical combo.
I absolutely love Brendan Gleeson and one of my all time favorite films of his that you all should watch is the english version of The Grand Seduction. It's a Canadian film about a small harbor in Newfoundland who tries to woo a big city doctor into staying in their community so that they can be approved for a factory which would bring them jobs again. It's a touching and absolutely hilarious/cheeky film. Brendan is brilliant in it
I love mandolin music. So much so that I named my first born Mandalyn. Technically, she is named after a 1972 Rod Stewart song called Mandolin Wind. But close enough.
Such wonderful calm & music too! Have loved him in everything, from Braveheart thru HP with my son, to the absolutely brilliant Macbeth with 2 of my other favorites. Can't wait to see him again with Farrell. And his son is beyond creepy brilliant with Carell!
I can't imagine anyone not knowing who he is. He is so perfect in everything he has ever been in. I have never been less than wowed by one of his performances, he's so full of character and expression and wit. He, Colin Farrell and Martin McDonagh are the perfect combination. His boys are great too and the shorts they made together are premium examples of dark Irish humor. In Bruges is one of my favorite films of all time. So happy to see him doing so well.
This is so great! I never really considered that Colin probably looks up to Brendan in this fashion (they're both such tremendous actors I just automatically put them on the same level), but now this is absolutely my head canon! 🤣
This is one of the best monologues in SNL history. They should let more hosts just do their thing. The variety show aspect always makes the show more fun.

That may have been the sweetest and nicest monologue that SNL has done since the 80's. Lovely.
