Nope! I love his voice too. Calming and mature, has the sound of a wise and experience person. It's rare to have these type of voice and I can't imagine a different voice for Ozpin unless it sound like The way they portrayed him now.

pretty sure what he meant by that is referring to how he, Ozpin, as a youngin' didn't agree to being the host for Ozma- not the part where Ozma just instantly agreed to being reincarnated forever.

The only thing I can think of that would explain as to how and why Ozpin seems to have at least an ability like this that is in some ways in the same vein as the Maiden's is only one of two possibilities. First, while there are four maidens and the powers transfer to young women randomly... the other person in the story was 'The Wizard'. It never actually mentioned what happened to the Wizard and isn't it ironic that there is a wizard in that story and Ozpin... 'Oz' now being transferred to 'Oscar' or 'Oz-car' could potentially be the soul of the Wizard. This for me is the most likely possibility in that if the Wizard gave the maidens this power... then it stands to reason that the Wizard had the ability to do it in the first place. Thus, if Ozpin was the next in line to inherent the spirit of the Wizard it would likely work like the Maidens powers... though transferring to 'Young men'. The other theory that I find unlikely is that this is simply a 'semblance' power... a very unique semblance power. That seems a little convenient to have but stranger things could happen I suppose.

I have a feeling that over time, Ozpin will eventually become the dominant personality in Oscar's body as Oscar's personality fades away and Ozpin stays. Ozpin had many forms, right? They all probably had an encounter with Ozpin similar to Oscar's case as they all fade away into the back of their mind while Ozpin takes control
Either that, or the reverse happens, the previous "imported" persona simply fades away or merges with Oscar's to form a new person completely.
I'd like to think neither of them ever truly fade, given that the God of Light designed Oz's reincarnation cycle the way he did simply because he wanted to ensure Ozma would never be alone again, that he'd always have someone to keep him company and to trust in.

How about, my theory here,
Ozpin died but aura and other capabilities pass on to another person, what if it's like a maiden? But, a male? It as been happening a lot of times and now Oscar the new maiden/professor, maybe Ozpin knows the future and gave the powers to him in the first place. You probably won't read this though.
I personally think he's some sort of male maiden, maybe the spring maiden? This mostly comes from the fact he could hold a fight against maiden cinder.
I think similar to how maidens inherit their powers Ozpin is the wizard in the way that when the original wizard died, his soul would pass on to different hosts with the host's and wizard's souls eventually fusing into one soul given enough time

it's not the first time this happens, as he told Oscar, and he says he helped build the schools and lived very old.

Neither did Ozpin, remember? He said the same thing happened to him, he woke up with a new voice in his head and a task to uphold, and he did (eventually) take up that responsibility.
The thing that screws me over every time I hear Oscar is that his voice actor, Aaron Dismuke, is the same person who voiced Alphonse Elric when he was 12 years old. Puberty hit him HARD.

Lunardivider24 When Ozpin resurrects into the body of a new host, he overtime absorbs their memories while also retaining his own and those of his previous hosts. When he talks about going through that same confusion, he’s pretty much talking in recognition of his past lives and their memories of panic and confusion when he was resurrected into their minds.
The god of light cursed(?) him to live forever just like salem. But instead of not being able to die, he just reincarnates in another body
@@finnheisenheim8274 I wouldn't say he was "Cursed", or at least maliciously. The God of Light gave him the opportunity to go to the afterlife or return in the form of a split soul every life. Ozma took the choice to stay.
I hope Ozpin's soul will leave Oscar's body at the end of the volume. Oscar deserves to live his own life without anyone's control. I hope Salem will not do anything to him

Poor guy doesn't deserve all the shit he's been getting in Vol 5 + 6. Yes, he deserves A BIT of shit for lying about the Relics attracting Grimm and maybe about Salem being immortal (even though he never ever sent them AGAINST SALEM HERSELF, mind you), but he does NOT deserve to be shit on constantly.
Especially after he was forced to relive his whole life by a bunch of fucking kids who decided to pry his secrets out of him, real nice job proving you can be trusted kids, well done!
jack simpson I 100% agree with you. I love Ozpin's voice that it fits him, no other person can voice him unless it's similar voice. He is partly responsible for the mess and at fault, but he isn't all that bad since he literally lived for centuries. Seeing hope and have it crushed for a lot of time can change you. I'm surprised he hasn't given up.
Everyone is so hateful of him forgetting that everyone has a right to privacy and he didn't totally lied, he did hid many things and was shady, but nothing like Salem or maybe the gods at all. I honestly think the gods are responsible too. V6 Ch 3 proves it all!
At least now we know Ozpin is still in the show for sure...

I don't think it's arrogance but I guess a need to get to Haven and talk to the headmaster there and explain what happened or discuss stuff. He doesn't seem to have a control of his soul and where it ended up after his fight with Cinder. If he did he wouldn't just barge into someone's life. Ozpin's better than that

I don't know if that's fair...for all we know Ozpin's conscious gets passed on to the most comparable soul/aura, and unfortunately, these are desperate times. The Light God could've simply allowed Oz to have Salem's form of immortality, simply reconstructing himself or reviving a short while after he died, but he didn't do that. Why? Well, he wanted to ensure that Oz would never be alone again, that he would always have someone to trust in, someone to confide in, someone to help him through and pick him up when he fell down.
Having one of the two personas 'fade' or merge into a singular personality would really defeat the purpose of that.

I beileve Oscar is an OC of one of the show writer or maybe one of their children to me he seem pointly like the Jr Ghostbuster. No I don't think he did. Oz does say that Oscar and his "Aura's and Soul's" are intertwined. If Oz did have the choice, why wouldn't he pick Glinda, or Qrow, or even Ruby, instead of some random farm kid in the middle of Nowhere.
