I feel like his voice gets softer/lighter each volume, just like his model lol I can’t believe I forget how funny he is, I think I get distracted by how sad he is
Yall made him seem like he did the worst thing and was not to be trusted. He kept a damn secret cause he knew no one would take it well and just give up. And they pretty much did. Ozpin was cool to them after the whole assembly speech. He bent the rules a bit to allow them into their "secret" mission. And his talks with Ruby also showed how cool and laid-back he was in his charming demeanor.
"I've made more mistakes than any man, woman, and child on this planet, but at this moment, I would not consider your appointment [as] leader to be one of them... do you?" and this line would echo all the way through to Vol 9.
he's definitely one of the best-written! He's so fun at Beacon, but I love watching him develop along with the merge as well. The character growth is **chef's kiss**

truly! It's incredible how strong his character started and how much he's grown and changed, both from experience and from Oscar's influence! Happy to have ya on the channel cause the merge is my main hyperfixation at the moment XD It wasn't until making this that I noticed how Shannon started changing his voice a bit in volume 6 even! It took me awhile to notice it in the v7 monologue, but once I did I can't unhear it, but v6? Even from their first lines Oscar and Oz sound slightly mergey voice-wise, it's really cool! I love the effect the merge has had on Oz's monologues - the ones in v7 & 8 have a much more intimate, grounded vibe than his previous ones, which fits so well with Oscar's character and how he differs from Prof. Ozpin. They really are bringing the best out in each other, it's fascinating!
@@HyperfixationStation it really is and I love how well they did their relationship it’s great throughout all the volumes ……I just realised that Oscars main issue is his fear but as he begins to overcome his fears he inadvertently help ozpin overcome his fear of trust for the fist time since Salem killed him and her children as he never truly trusted as he was afraid but near the end of volume 8 he fully trusts the team and returns witch is so wholesome but your right about Shannon’s voice merging with Arron’s voice with is tone and voice inflections in his talking which is just wow with how well they did that small detail and I’m happy to be here on this amazing channel keep up the good work
I just love that volume 6 is just "Shall I?" "May I?" Then calming Oscar down to save him. Like it's crazy how caring this man is and how much he gets bullied by everyone
There's just something about his voice that's so calming, soothing, and charismatic at the same time. I feel like it has the potential to calm a person with anxiety down quickly.

I miss Ozpin he was a great character but no matter what Ozpin will always be one of my top favorite characters in rwby. When I first saw him in the show I already knew I was going to like him especially his speeches, & monologs are the best he is legendary.👍
It’s kinda crazy. I remember originally started watching RWBY because I had watched the Red trailer way back when and I thought Ruby looking amazing because I love Red Riding Hood. I remember I didn’t really pay attention Oz because I didn’t know really anything about him due to me not knowing he’s the Wizard of Oz. I focused on the girls and also I really liked Qrow while also keeping the show kinda at arms length because I have heard not so nice things about the fandom itself. Then I watched Oz die and I was genuinely upset about it and I watched the episodes where he became apart of Oscar and I was like “Okay wth is going on???” At that point his and Oscar’s situation reminded me a lot of the anime Yugioh and I was immediately hooked on their dynamic. And THEN I watched his backstory in that moment all the other characters (besides Oscar) kinda ceased to exist 😆 Ozpin became my favorite character, like I have stated many times that when it comes to RWBY my brain only ever thinks of Oz and Oscar. And I have always found that insane. I find that a feat in of itself. I went from not knowing anything about Oz, not paying attention to him, to be intrigued by his and Oscar’s situation, to utterly adoring him in the short span of like a few weeks. I only wish we could have gotten more from him before he died. And I can only hope that at the end of the show and if Oz gets a chance at peace we can see his form one last time in that newest animation style.

Oscar flourished in v6-8 (especially the Atlas arc!) and it's only made my love for him grow exponentially. I really enjoy his and Oz's back-and-forth, and I'm glad to see that Oscar's still getting plenty of time to shine and make his own choices even after Oz's return. Their dynamic has changed so much it's wild!
My favorite detail about Shannon McCormick is that he's also the voice of Agent Washington in Red vs Blue "That was the worst throw ever. Of all time."

@HyperfixationStation It's more of a sci-fi comedy. The humors is more mature, but the plot when it wants can be REALLY good. Monty (creator of RWBY) actually animated the fight scenes in seasons 6-10.

this show has always been carried by the audio. We all know the tunes. Cringe or not, the early team's voice acting was realistically teenage and awkward, and their voice skills matured with the character's own maturity. Others were instant hits like ozpin and qrow. The only L I've seen so far was reverting jaune's older voice. And his volume 9 drip in general. Take away the lines by all means, but let the man strut.
