- I was searching for clips of Salem for an edit one day and I could not find very many so I decided to put this together for anyone who wants some Salem clips for edits or just to have them!

The fact she was the first voice in rwby and then it’s revealed she is the main villain was a great twist and I loved it amazing villain
she is a like as thanos or darkseid or yhwach

@@omarragheb8788 That's actually one characteristic that is very problematic for me. I'm very much attracted to people who stay calm under pressure, but that trait often comes with ruthlessness, being manipulative, etc....
Mostly pitiful. All this death and suffering is her lashing out. And in the end if salem reaches her goal, i doubt it would end in the way she wanted
Wish that Malty/Myne from the rising of the shield hero character was like that I mean she's just hated and that's all there is to her she need to be more powerful and intimidated instead she just a loser character 😑

Fun fact: Ironically for Hebrew baby names Salem means Peace.

After all, what is more peaceful than death?
Salem’s name is perfect. The ironic meaning, and the town of which 19 people died as a result of mass hysteria, and it’s association of witchcraft gives a sinister connotation and allusions to us viewers that doesn’t exist in Remnant. Plus, The name is short and roles off the tongue. Simply saying her name to those (few) who know of her, usually has the same effect Voldemort. Even Raven flinched when Yang brought up her name in the finale of vol 5.
You know, Salem reminds me of DIO.
Both are really manipulative, intelligent, powerful, and can have a very calming and caring tone to their voice.
I rather work for Salem then DIO. He's obviously more terrifying and not to mention if he doesn't trust you he will plant a fleshbud in you making you a slave to him anyways.
But we can agree dio is better
Salem a witch with the power to control monsters and magic or Dio a vampire that can raise the dead control others by implanting something into others brains and has the ability to stop time itself....ya thank god rwby only has to deal with salem damn dio is scary
DIO is a troll who once stopped time, was willing to run down stairs, pickup/place his enemy down one step, ran back up the stairs to get back in position, and then resume time just to be entertained by their reaction...

Ironically one of my own written characters is named Salem, and she’s very similar to this!

I would guess so. I think she's simply still pleased with Cinder killing him because each reincarnation causes setbacks. (Such as Beacon falling).

I love how understandable and justifiable her hatred for Ozpin is.
Is it really? He wasn’t in the wrong in the argument. He just took it too far too fast. She’s the one who killed him.
He was right to doubt her plans for humanity, but he was wrong in putting his kids in harms way. Personally, I believe he impulsively betrayed her trust and love in him. @@personwhoishereiguess3814
@@GUNDAMLOCKON he was trying to get his children out and he stood note in front of them they were not his shields. He was afraid of her actions and more so of her plan and even beyond that..what shes becoming as a person as hes finally realized it. - I blame the two brothers for this; they are typical Greek gods; arrogant and without seeming empathy for their 'creations' - Oz Fought her knowing he couldnt even win... Why? Maybe to protect whats behind him. (Note: if you watch the battle she 'reforms herself' Ozpin actually could have won if the Light didnt excessively punish her with Immortality) I wonder where the silver eyed tribe comes from more so than ever now. But again Ozpin is a jaded hero; he is 'gray' he doesn't tell the whole truth .. and episode 3 shows why. He acknowledged in volume 1 that has more failures and regrets than any man woman or child. Despite it all whatever his reasons - selfish .. selfless both? He is trying to save Humanity. Salem... not so much. If they don't worship her - they will be destroyed and worship time is long passed. Those Veins / Vanes ... She was fully Human even after her dip in the dark pool.. I wonder about that now.. maybe just .. mostly. Or not.
@@GUNDAMLOCKON I agree with Michael, Salem was the one that murdered their kids, not Ozpin. She planned to use their children to create a new race of humans that could use magic and have them enslave and replace humanity, Ozpin feared that she would bring their kids down the same path she was following (the path that Cinder follows in the present). She could have simply let him leave with their children or offered their kids the choice to stay with her, but instead attacked without hesitation. Her expression didn't even change when her scared daughter said, "Mommy?", it didn't even phase her. She saw her children as possessions, treasured possessions, but still just property. She did not even truly love Ozpin anymore, it had become more of a twisted obsession to reunite with him in order to spite the gods. Salem blamed Ozpin and the gods for everything and took no responsibility herself. She lied, made demands, manipulated, and tried to overthrow the gods. She failed to understand that out of all people that die and have ever died, why should the gods make an exception for her and bring back her loved one? Why are she and Ozpin so special? Ozpin also did not think Salem would go so far as to attack. He still loved her, she is the reason he took the god of Light's offer to return, not the relics or humanity's final test. He was willing to put her before himself and later their children before himself or her, in contrast to Salem who always put herself first.
He failed to persuade her from her caused of ruling with an iron fist, but he was in the right in trying to leave with his kids. He was just not strong enough to defend them. But I still dont trust let alone forgive Oz for all the shit he has done, he is no better than his damn wife, and i have to say i feel sorry for his kids. I believe they are being reincarnated just like their father but with no memory of their past lives, just look at the first maidens and team RWBY
I realise through this that a major problem in the animation is that, when they talk. The jaw doesn't move
Salem's group is kind of similar to the gang in always Sunny in Philadelphia. Watts is Dennis, Tyrian is Charlie, Hazel is Frank, and Cinder is Dee.

Salem has the patience to play the long game, remember. Before she can be satisfied with everything being destroyed, she has to break Oz’s optimism. That’s where Ruby comes in. Salem had to start sometime...

If the world gets destroyed, i doubt the gods would be kind enough to destroy salem as well and probably leave her on a barren rock all alone permanently this time
Cinder is so done with her, but she needs more power to take over. She wanted power and thought she could do everything that was necessary to get it, however, she doesn’t like feeling weaker than anything or anyone. I wonder if her new arm could actually evolve far enough to absorb the silver-eyed power at some point. Doubtful though.
Whenever Salem speaks I just always hear Cortana.

The feud between Ozpin and Salem is the only reason why I'm still watching RWBY at this point.
I stopped watching after a few episodes where you meet one of Jaunes sisters. I really should watch more of it but idk

People are so quick to dismiss this line. People wants to dismiss that Silver Eyes affect Maidens.
But every instance has an explanation.
Post V3, Cinder has a permanent Grimm Arm, meaning she’s a walking double-edged sword.
Emerald knocked Ruby out before it could affect Raven.
Penny is a Robot, albeit one with a soul, so we can do no more than Speculate that Silver Eyes wouldn’t work against inorganic matter.
Salem is the oldest being in Remnant, and therefore her word holds weight. Unless or until the Writers go on record to officially retcon Salem’s statement, then her words here cannot be dismissed no matter what.

No they won't win. Salem will win and die that's her goal. The World will have peace and no magic or dust after that.
I really like how a character in the story is giving the narration sure it doesn’t make sense sometimes but I still enjoy it for some reason.
after season the season 6 finale, i hope to see her put up an actual fight in season 7.

Hopefully in Volume 9. The most impressive thing she did in Volume 8 was roaring with such intensity that the entire void shook violently.

@@thomasraines1396 Yeah, she needs way better moments next volume and an excuse as to why she lost rather than “oh no I got punched by Hazel and he held me down long enough and set me on fire”, it should have been “I wasn’t putting in 1% of effort and even while I was disintegrated I could still monitor my army and I pushed my minions in the right direction whether or not they knew. Also I know that Cinder lied, I saw what she did.”
@@rosesongoku6980 exactly her temporarily dying could’ve been played off as her simply manipulating the situation, but we’re meant to take her defeat seriously.
Immorality is a terrifying concept especially for an enemy: look the likes of Doomsday or Vandal Savage from DC, they’re immortal yes but their immortality is only one aspect that makes them terrifying, Savage is a genius and was in fact some of the worst men in history, Doomsday is a mindless behemoth that can go toe to toe with the likes of Superman (and killed him, or rather they beat each other to death).
However unlike them, Salem’s first appearance had her getting her ass kicked, at this point she’s basically a cockroach or she’s the RWBY equivalent of Kenny McCormick from South Park or Mr. Immortal from Marvel: the only she has going for her is the fact she can’t die.

Is it me or did anyone hear Hazel mention "How did a fanis best one of us?" Now we all know fanis are those half human an animal people but they were talking of Ruby an she is not a fanis, but who is a silver eyed fanis, the hound in volume 8, how has none ever thought of what that one line meant after volume 8, they were referring to the person we see fall into the hands of darkness of grim.

I think this is why she wants ruby, her silver eyes destroy grim. Destroy the grim in Salems blood stream, it could potentially kill her, as it's had millennia to saturate her body.
I say if Ruby does use the silver eyes on Salem, either Salem COMPLTELY gets turned to dust or is dusted, but regens from the dust, back to her old look and is free of the grims effects on her👍🏽
