Robin De Lorenzo That needs to happen so much! Who should she marry after kicking his ass to the curb? Ironwood or Klein? Because Weiss needs someone to be an actual dad to her and both have proven very well that they are it.
I didn't like Weiss much in the beginning, but this season really made strides with her character. Seeing how she didn't cry after her father slapped her and composed herself enough to keep talking back to him honestly made her a favorite of mine now.
"Overprotective" implies he cares at all about his children. This fucker is a sociopath who only sees his kids as tools and only shows them affection when they perform as he wants them to. Once they defy him, they are forced back in line. Once they leave him, they are dead to him.
More like an overprotection of his own name and status. Like Weiss said, he married into the Schnee family, and this is his way of accumulating power through any means necessary to him, with a blatant disregard for anyone else. Jaque Schnee is the RWBY equivalent of Donald Trump!
Not smart enough, apparently! You don't keep a girl locked up, and you certainly don't let her keep her weapon in the same room! And you definitely, most certainly, don't order the entire staff to keep her from escaping, expecting them to be in line, because one of them will disobey that order
"your presupposition that you can have whatever you want is a clear sign of our failure as parents" I feel I have heard something a bit similar plenty of times. I can relate to her in quite a few ways.
That...is actually a VERY mature thing for Jacques to say. And, he's right...if you child thinks that they can just have ANYTHING they want, you HAVE done something wrong as a parent🤔
Weiss: If you keep the heiress locked up, then people will ask where she is! Her dad: so you're no longer the heiress, Whitley is the new heir So logically, as a regular atlas citizen I would ask myself: Why is the old heiress gone and there's a new heir? Is the old heiress dead? Has she been aborted? Why would a Schnee disappear? So instead on eliminating everyone's questions, he just spawns several more! Genius work dad!
agreed, Jacques just want's money and is willing to do anything to keep it that way, even if he as to remove the heiress from his rebellious daughter to keep it that way. I hope he get's thrown in jail for life for all he's done straight down to child abuse.
Honestly, I'm surprised she didn't trash the room before leaving. If in her position, I might have left it in pieces with a message burned into the wall essentially declaring that I left the worthless name behind, as well.
Well, thanks to Aura, everyone in Remnant is superhuman. And Weiss isn't even a DPS/Tank type, she's a support type, so she's not as strong as, say, Yang or Nora.
Jacques: "It's time to wake up and face reality." Let me tell you something, man; Your daughter has been fighting monsters and psychos since the first volume. She has faced reality several times over, while you have been the one cowering in fear of it; In fear of the reality that it is _you_ sir who will eventually bring the family name to ultimate disgrace!
I believe he meant "reality" as in because Weiss still sees with the eyes (and mind) of one so young. Primarily...in how she THINKS she can be a huntress AND run the company.

Ismail x No, Whitley wasn't acting. I know it, he may not be a fan favorite in the fandom but I'm giving Whitley a second chance if he returns in Volume 5.
This is a bit more aggressive than Frozen, Weiss has a more complicated situation than Elsa trying to conceal her abilities from Anna and the people of Arendelle. Weiss is suffering abuse, not the secrecy of hiding her powers
It's not really surprising her brother sides with her dad. Their mom is basically a shell of who she used to be, winter left, weiss left. A kid is going to cling to the one family member that's still there. Even their mom says he only clung to him because the girls left and she wasn't able to be there for him.
"Time to wake up and face reality..." WTF? This practically means that according to him, Weiss was just roleplaying, making things up, being a Hunter or a Huntress is just a game, etc... And I'm very sure he knows that Weiss summoned the boartusk on accident. He just looked for a reason to tighten his grip on her, then another to remove her birthright to lead the company. Both times, Weiss accidently played to his hands. As for the slap: he knows its the truth, but truth ofter hurts and he puts on the upset parent act "How dare you talk like that?". Simply shameful.
I felt sorry for Weiss after what happened there. That man had no right to be horrible to her. He had no right to do that. Weiss did nothing wrong and she did what she thought was right.
Why keep her there though? It has to be more than just worrying about the Schnee family name. I mean he could always just disown her like Winter and move on. Does he need her for something? I mean all I could think of off the top of my head is a political marriage. Of course I could be wrong because we don't know how the company inheritance will work but I just gotta know why.
My guess? She probably removed herself to go train as a huntress and then work for Ironwood. This world needs people to keep the gears turning. Wining and Dining wont do that.

Wow.....he sounds like a way snobbier version of MY dad. My old man always came off as "grades are more important then anything else in the world" (that included but was not limited to social time, time to exploring creativity and other such things). If i wasnt studying or seeing to my basic needs (food water and shelter was his definition of basic needs) then i was wasting time
for fuck's sake, RT better not """villainize""" Whitley wherein he becomes a Jacques 2.0---he's youngest of the three abused kids under The Asshole Of the Millennium (the one that's Not Salem). Considering where the series is now for V5 (tho the signs are obvious from the start, if you look at this scene calmly), looking back to V4 at Whitley's "lash out" to Weiss, his level of calmness and/or soft-spokenness is debatable at best. His "anger" isn't "Mwhaha, now /I/ am the Schnee Heir!"; if anything, it's him having a moment of personal spite at Weiss (and, in extension, Winter) because those two have always been a sort of linked-groupie in the Schnee Family. Whitley was left out, Whitley has ALWAYS been the one to be left out. Winter & Weiss have been growing on their own whilst having happy moments together when they can, Schnee Mom barely focused on her kids with all the drinking that slipped into her life, and Jacques only focusing on him (in "good" light) now because BOTH the girls have left his grips of control.
Say what you want about the man, but shit, I can totally see his point. Add in everything we know, dude must have one monster of a PR machine. No wonder people don't like him; you can totally imagine someone like him in real life unlike say Tyrian or Cinder or Salem.

Poor Weiss, all she wanted was a blood family for her to get along, but now she has more than that, Weiss’ closet family is with Rwby
Maybe her parents, but SHE'S responsible for her relationship with Whitley being fucked up in modern day.
I swear to god when whitley sees Weiss in her huntress fighting mode he going get whacked in the face
People hate Whitley even though they still don't know the shit that brought him up that way. Especially because Whitley is around Jacques WAAAAAAAAAY more than his sisters that fucking abandoned him technically so why should he give a fuck about them. I know we don't have full context but fuck.
Like Weiss said he never liked them anyway so I can see how it can be hard to help someone when they don't like you.
@@noox13 but we don't know why he doesn't like them. Also her and winter KIIIIIINDA abandoned him euth a sad that probably brainwashed him and a drunk mother.
Wow.....he sounds like a way snobbier version of MY dad. My old man always came off as "grades are more important then anything else in the world" (that included but was not limited to social time, time to exploring creativity and other such things). If i wasnt studying or seeing to my basic needs (food water and shelter was his definition of basic needs) then i was wasting time
When you realize Jacque is voiced by the same guy who played Beerus in Dragon Ball Super/movies
easily the best moment in rwby history
She reminded me of Mulan at the end there.
I want to pause the video, climb into it, grab Weiss' dad, and CHUCK HIM INTO A GRIMM!
my ♥ froze.
for fuck's sake, RT better not """villainize""" Whitley wherein he becomes a Jacques 2.0---he's youngest of the three abused kids under The Asshole Of the Millennium (the one that's Not Salem).
Winter & Weiss have been growing on their own whilst having happy moments together when they can, Schnee Mom barely focused on her kids with all the drinking that slipped into her life, and Jacques only focusing on him (in "good" light) now because BOTH the girls have left his grips of control.
damn this is a good scene. I cannot tell you the last time I was actually invested in RWBY
Tsunderes are always the best character.
Facts
Weiss, you are a trained hunter with superhuman strength, speed, and reaction time. That slap shouldn't have even touched you let alone hurt you.
the schnee crime family xd
Say what you want about the man, but shit, I can totally see his point. Add in everything we know, dude must have one monster of a PR machine. No wonder people don't like him; you can totally imagine someone like him in real life unlike say Tyrian or Cinder or Salem.
"slap-"
DRAMATIC NOISES***
Jason Douglas has done an amazing performace!
Weiss says: 4:18 I don't want to cry even though that was horrible I don't want to cry ʕ´ • ᴥ • ̥`ʔ
*slams the door open and looks at Jaquis.*
*19 days later the reapers invade to harvest this cycle*
My poor bean

"Oh really? Tell me....do any of these staff members have their Aura unlocked?"
"Um,I don't believe so but-
"Or any huntsman training?
" I-I
" Then Tell me, 'Father '.... Who's going to stop me from leaving right now? You? Last I checked, management skills and a Silver tongue don't really matter when fighting outside the courtroom....Do they?"
Young lady I'll
You'll do what? I'm the only one in this room who has Aura and Combat Training. All I have to do is think it and You'll be locked in place long enough for me to get my things and leave or I could just summon my bore again Or maybe a Beowolf to.... how should I put? Get rid of bad rubbish?"
"...."
"Yeah that's what I thought. "
1. Norman Osborn (Spectacular Spider-Man 2008).
2. Odalia Blight (The Owl House).
3. Logan Roy (Succession).
Yeah, Jaques Schnee fits perfectly with these kinds of villains.
im glad they arrested jacque because i always hated that bastard a couple volumes later
Jacques: *slaps Weiss*
Me *becoming the Doom Slayer* so you have chosen DEATH! 😠😡🤬🔥💢
3:27 when you think of the best comeback but the argument is already over
Man I hope karma hits Mr Schnee one day like his company falls because in a review everyone sees his true colors because the team wanted to help Winter save Willow (by recording his private moments with their scrolls) and then she has to courage to divorce her deceiving fraud of a husband after Ruby hugs and talks comforting words to her and to let her heart decide because as Ruby says “it’s the right thing to do”
Ironwood made sure of that.
I didn't know Beerus was Weiss' dad.
In solidarity I went and cried on my bed after this
Jacques: I’m the most heartless business man of all time!
Clovis Bray: Hold my Deep Stone Crypt.
Jacques was lucky Weiss didn't tear him apart then
That's Ian Shane. the voice actor of Lord Beerus from DBS. They actually got a Funimation Voice Actor for this show? I'm sorry but all I hear is Lord Beerus talking 😆.
They also got Vic Mignogna and other well know VAs before him.
What an abusive father Jacques schnee really is if anyone's going to give his daughter some love it's going to be me because I'm about to teach that guy a lesson for slapping his daughter in the face and taking her heiress status away from her
Lord beerus an old man why not
I feel sorry for Weiss and all she wanted is her freedom not listening to her so called family and her father and its mulan all over again
Fandom don't touch my child
