Unfortunately, we have to close out Pride Month. Even more unfortunate is that we have to finale the month with this piece of human excrement.
...
Enjoy!

I am now thinking about the snowflake era we're living in, people getting offended by everything, the cult of victims, and it makes me appreciate movies like Pink Flamingos more, cause the fact, that this movie was made, and was actually appreciated back then, shows how easy going people used to be. They didn't care. They saw a scene where a drag queen eat dog shit and were like "yeah, cool, whatever". Wish we could get back to that way of thinking.
I think youâre addressing two different things here. I donât believe we were necessarily âoffendedâ by any of what we saw. We were repulsed and disgusted because it was all gross, and I think thatâs an entirely normal reaction to seeing someone-anyone-eat dog shit, or perform oral on the flaccid penis of their own son.
But hey, if you like that, to each their own ðĪ·ðŧââïļ
@@samebutdiff not necessarily liked that, I just appreciate the fact that it exist, cause it says a lot about the rebel nature of people who made it, and the times that it was made in. While (what I understand from Your review) You wish this movie never existed, am I right?
Correct!
And we see your point.
Itâs hard to argue, based on the fact that the film was made as a rebellion, and a way to piss off the status quo.
Which is fine, good for them!
We just personally hated our time with it haha
@@samebutdiff Oh :D Good - the movie worked!
"John Waters created the most pointless and repulsive movie ever made"
"Thank you" -John Waters
Yeah yeah, heâd be happy that we hated it ðĪĢ
The movie is clearly not for everyone. But, for me, it serves as a quick scoring test If someone likes the movie I immediayely know we will get along.
Aw, I love Pink Flamingos. And I love listening to John Waters's interviews... But just to prove how much John Waters's films are loved: Disney animators modeled Ursula from The Little Mermaid from Divine; The Simpsons writers asked John Waters to guest on one of the most memorable episodes in the series; and The Criterion Collection has FOUR John Waters films in their catalogue.
John Waters would LOVE this review! This is exactly what he wanted to illicit! Getting you to openly acknowledge your pretentions and hypocrisies is the point!
Do it, and come back and tell us your thoughts! ð
Itâs haunted us for months
As someone raised by Jackass this movie (and other early Jon Waters) give me absolute joy. I guess some people love seeing complete anarchy and some people canât get there. Itâs okay to be square :-)
Huey Lewis was right!
I donât know why, but I live for this main character and this movie lol. Yes, itâs as low budget as you can get but thatâs what I like about it. Seeing people disgusted by it makes me laugh and smile. Obviously, not everything in this movie was easy to watch ðĐ. In a way, it reminds me of old school TH-cam where people where doing the dumbest things possible and uploading it for the world to see. I love that about it! ð My type of humor if Iâm honest!
You ho RJ! Love what you love âðŧâðŧ
Something about the person on the right in this video recalls elements of David Lochary (Raymond Marble). Maybe it's the overall smug effeteness, or maybe it's just that shitty mustache.
Whatâs your Favorite kind of moustache? We will try harder to appease your appraisal of facial hair next time.
The only thing that bothered me about it was the chicken being killed during that sex scene.
The rest of it I loved, especially Edie the egg lady scenes had me laughing. My favorite scene
was when Babs got that birthday present in the mail.
The only part that bothered me is when I hit play ð
The chicken was not killed in the scene. He was killed afterwards and eaten by the crew
Wow! If you donât like this film, there is really something wrong with you!
This movie is amazing
â -ly unwatchableâ there, I finished your sentence for you :)
One of the best movies ever made. I convict you both of assholism
Pfffffft you have no authority on the matter.
None of us do.
Thatâs the beauty of subjectivity and film :)
And the chicken had to be mercy killed because it was so messed up.
@@samebutdiff that was a line from the movie
@@XNTYLER shows how little we paid attention ð
We have quickly learned this movie has a following that adores it. We justâĶ canât find ourselves a part of that community.
Assholism it is ð
Brody can I redeem my remaining twitch points for âCanadian Accent â for the entirety of SBD July eh?
LOL Iâll throw in some extra here and there for ya, BUD!
abject art at its abjectiest ^^
I object to abject art!
