But this was their most "polished" album ever production and engineering- wise . . . . . . and Zanders sounded twice as natural as the King himself from start to end. It's one thing to out-copy a legend . . . .but it is quite another to out-character them. But he did here.

Rick Nielson,their guitar player,is 75 today-this cover of Elvis' Don't Be Cruel and the cover of Fats Domino's Ain't that a Shame[also done by them],are two of the greatest covers ever.Rick co-owns a pizza parlor in Chicago and has a massive guitar collection[he owned 500 in 2018].I've seen him at the Mecum car auction throwing guitar picks to the crowd.

I was a little late to the party with Cheap Trick. I came aboard with Lap of Luxury album. Then had a blast backtracking their previous work to the 70's. This band was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016. Well deserved!

I was fortunate to meet Cheap Trick at a Delaware club. I won a radio contest and was floored when I met them. In addition the band autographed a photo from their stint in Budokan.

@@hellsunicorn I bought a Technics Hi-Fi system with separate CD player in November 1988.The system was £300 and the CD was £170.My weekly wage was £140 with an extra £40 for Saturday or Sunday or £80 for both.I have used the Technics almost daily for nearly 33 years....and it still sounds great.I got to chose two free CD's from the Hi-Fi Dealer(who are still trading),and chose '...and justice for all' by Metallica and 'Hysteria' by Def Leppard....Regards,Starman.
