Good on you. We're all different ages here - I'm thirteen but I'm glad we can all unite over great music!

Jesus, that guitar solo on the mountain, wearing a coat, backlit by the setting sun, is highlander epic.
Underrated guitar solo. Super melodic, perfectly in tone with the feeling of the song. This is a great guitar solo that served a song, not the ego of the player.
"One good thing about music is when it hits, you feel no pain."
My mom used to always tell me that when I was little, I'm 41 now, that every time this song came on I would drop what I was doing and run into the room and just stand there listening. She died 3 weeks ago. Brings me good memories of her. 😊
Edit: Thank you all SO much for the beautiful comments and the likes. 🤍💙🤍
It’s nice to have songs to remember your loved ones by😊 My kids new that as soon as I put this song on and I turned it up they knew momma was mad about something

Cult Parade Yep. Very apt. I miss the 80s

Sell your soul:
Kissing the vaccine to prevent the Spiritualization of matter, the Resurrection of the flesh and the Ascension.
The principle is simple: to inject into the blood what prevents the dilation of cells and Love.

Pure magic, the 80's. Never will there be another decade such as this

How has this not been used in the laundry product commercial- people are idiots - is that company depriving these artists of money somehow- because
I'm 36 and I love Tears For Fears. My mom introduced me to them when I was little lol.
My mum also introduced me to great music. And she liked most of the stuff I liked as well.
Is it weird for me to have a crush on 1980s Roland when he's now literally my dad's age? But he's SO freaking cute and handsome and talented here. His BEAUTIFUL voice, his cute dance moves, his adorable baby face! What's not to like? I know if I'd been alive and a teen in the 80s I would have had a MASSIVE crush on him.
There's a really good reason Tears for Fears are called the voice of the 80s.It's because they were the voice of forever.

It's true, this song is super cool, I'm from generation Z but I love songs from the 80s, what's happening now is not music, this is yes.
In the end of 1984, actually.
I am an African American who grew up in a predominantly African American community in the 80’s in the south (dirty south as we say in GA lol) in the inner city (nice way of saying in da hood) and my main exposure to music was hip hop, gangster rap, and R&B. While visiting my grandmother on the weekends in the country in a predominantly Caucasian community, i was exposed to Tears for Fears and i absolutely fell in love with their songs from the first time i heard them (as well as Madonna, Elton John, Kenny Loggins

Be glad you have the freedom for blacks to call you "weird" for "liking that white folks stuff". If whites called another white person "weird for liking that black folks stuff" we would be called racist. Glad you enjoy real talent. Wish I could go back to the 80's and stay there forever.

It's amazing how Tears for Fears didn't became just another band from the 80s. it became a classic.
So true 👍
That's the time when The Outfield didn't get any biggest recognition to their home country. Only american people can appreciate them proudly.

Exactly
that guitar solo is epic
Yes!!!! Roland is one of my favorite guitarists and what's amazing is Head over Heels has Curt Smith playing that incredible bass line while Roland plays the keyboard and guitar tracks. Curt and Roland were not only both equal in their vocals but also as multi instrumentalists

There were some moments in the 00s too. But it does feel like the Era of Humanity has passed. Now it's the Era of AI.
@RideAcrossTheRiver im sorry but this is the corniest thing ever. the initial statement is also very debatable
@@yesmk000 Sorry, but you're deluded and blinded. Reconsider your viewpoint. It's far too small. Right now, the word is that film scripts, books, and songwriting will be solely generated by AI.
@@yesmk000 I'll add this: when your condo or apartment building management says it's putting an AI interlock on your door, MOVE. Of course, your private home insurance company eventually will require you to relinquish control of your home to AI, particularly its door locks ... you don't REALLY need to go outside, right?
@@RideAcrossTheRiver youre clearly over exaggerating. no music has been impacted by AI yet. sure there has been tracks made here and there but they were bad and very obviously made by AI. you're creating a world in your head and acting miserable for no reason.

Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Cool and Dre brought me to this epic piece of art 🔥🔥🔥🔥
80s 90s the best
I am 75 and still love the 70's and 80's music soooo much.. this song is one of my favs
.... we are in the same boat Kat 🙂
My mums the same age as you and says the same
47 and still jamming to it. Great pop classic
Rock on, Kat! This is one of my favs, too. I'm way younger, but my mom always said I was born in the wrong era.
I'm 64 and there as well!
One of best songs ever made
I absolutely love it
Certainly the best song they ever made, closely followed by “Working Hour”. Big Chair was an astounding album, spinning off hit after hit in all directions like a pinwheel, each one a majestic, cathartic gem of emotion and therapy wrapped in a pop song. To this day, there’s never been anyone like TFF.
@@blopster ❤
Couldn’t be more true
No best ever
I love my dad so much for introducing me to this song
I SHOUT…..that the 80’s will always be remembered ❤🇵🇹
The 80's and 90's were the best decades for music.
100% So much good stuff, and nowadays just not as much or as good
The 1960’s and 70’s were the best.
Correction: the 70s and 80s were best for music.
70s were a LOT better
You obviously haven’t heard about the 1970s 😂
I'm Brazilian, and I still remember trying to understand the lyrics at the age of 11, but incredibly, this powerful song touched my soul. A few years later, I was able to grasp the meanings and understand that songs like this will never fade away with time because they have enduring significance. Thank you, TFF, for this wonderful gift.
Well done my friend you certainly have good taste.😊
Boa!
Son muy talentosos y lindos ❤❤
Eu AMO Tears for Fears!! i LOVE Tears for Fears
