I am only 16 years old and I remember the first time I heard this song. I was at a track and field day in my elementary school in the 1st grade, I thought it was a good song to jam to at the time and didn't understand how good the 80s really were. Of course I shouldn't be talking but if I could visit the 80s, I totally would. I know there would be no Internet, phones, etc. I could survive without that, I would just be in the moment of being in the 80s. I wish I could've been around then, sadly I wasn't. Guns n roses is one of few bands that can change a song from soft rock to hard rock to soft rock and still make it all sound incredible
I prefer soft rock but sometimes I just need to listen to something loud and angry to feel better.

I am only 16 years old and I remember the first time I heard this song. I was at a track and field day in my elementary school in the 1st grade, I thought it was a good song to jam to at the time and didn't understand how good the 80s really were. Of course I shouldn't be talking but if I could visit the 80s, I totally would. I know there would be no Internet, phones, etc. I could survive without that, I would just be in the moment of being in the 80s. I wish I could've been around then, sadly I wasn't.
To anyone who is reading this and grew up in the 80s, you are true legends and I admire you.
It's truly hard to convey how different life was when there were no smartphones, most people didn't see any reason to own a personal computer, and the only people who used the internet, or had even heard of it, were the military or computer geeks at universities.

When I was in 9th grade appetitive for destruction became huge. I would get off the school bus, eat, pee, watch MTV and then listen to the tape beginning to end almost every day . I was obsessed with GNR. I still think they have stood the test of time and this gives me great memories.
