This song fills a very big hole in my heart almost 3 decades ago, this was the very 1st song I heard after getting one of the worst phone calls one could possibly get in life.....the death of my 4 month old Nephew to SIDS... after sitting at my kitchen counter in stunned silence for 15 mins...alone...I had to get out....this was the very 1st song that came on radio and rather fitting for the time.....there will always be a place for this song in my heart
Let's build a time machine. I am 17. This is my favorite song of all time. It's the song that made me fall in love with the 80s rock music, it was when I was in the 2nd grade. My 4th grade teacher was a big fan of GN'R he used Civil War to help us understand more about war. Wish I could have been born in the 70s to see all my favorite bands.
I’ll be fifty years old in July and this takes me back to the summer of 88’, 17 years old, camped out and racing MX at Broome Tioga. My friends and I are from Western NY and we’d never heard Guns n Roses before that weekend. We camped next to a couple of guys from Boston who happened to have the Appetite For Destruction cassette. We traded them a quarter oz of great weed for it and proceeded to blast GnR all weekend when we weren’t riding. It’s hard to believe that so 32 years have passed since I first heard GnR. 🤙
The people of that time was so poor that was few that could appreciate that songs and shows. Today, with the internet, almost everyone could hear this pieces. Our time is the best, one way or another.

If I could have one selfish wish, I would go back to 1987 knowing what I know now, and begin that part of my life over again and get it right. I love GNR, but sometimes it is very hard to listen to them because of the memories of the LT, and mistakes I made that I can never correct.
Damn I really F'kn miss my Dad, he passed this April. I bought us tickets to GNR and KISS couple years back. Unforgettable moments, I know you're still Rock N Rolling All Nite long in the Paradise City. I love and miss you man.
Puff up the hair. Put on your shortest black dress. Wear a killer pair of stilettos 👠 Grab your friends. Go to the club.....and dance your arse off! Of course, that’s how we did it in the 90’s lol.
Axl Rose's voice never gets old Robert Plant's style never gets old Jimmy Page's guitar playing never gets old And there is Slash who himself never gets old.......
I used to work for a Japanese restaurant, Irving , TX, and one day Gun N Roses came and I had no idea who they are, but they were great and kind people :) They love Sushi and they were joyful people!
Lol, I love music, but I am not a rock n roll person! A pastor at this time! They end up buying all the Sushi that we have. Sold out on sushi :) I enjoyed their company as a manager of the place at that time. Thanks
Are you still a pastor? Were you aware that Axl Rose (as a child) was beaten by his step father, whose evil ungodly ways, violent temper & apparent sexual abusiveness to the little sister all undermined the gospel truth to him, driving him out of the church. Pray for him to know our dear saviour, the prince of peace.
I never really realized how out of control the ending section was until I tried doing air guitar and ended up miserably underestimating just how fast Slash was shredding there. Absolutely unmatched stuff there.

How is that even possible? This song was made in 2001, and if you were 14 when you first time heard it, that means you are 35 today, there is absolutely no chance that you are 49 years old today

I still get goosebumps when I see this video, a hell of a song even after listening to this the first time in 1987. I swear the 80's can't be repeated, we had Queen, Michael Jackson, Prince, GNR, Cinderella, Motley Crue, Foreigner, Bob Marley, U2, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Run DMC, Van Halen, Beastie Boys, The Boss, INXS, AC/DC, Tears For Fear and Def Leppard to name a few. Thanks GNR for making me an imaginary rock star🎸🤟.
I was selling pipes papers and bongs along with GNR t-shirts, jackets, posters, silk tapestries, leather bracelets and chockers, hat bands and everything else I could get with their names on it and there was no cable, you put a special MTV only antenna on your roof and if wasn't Rock and Roll they didn't play it. And in the world's largest outdoor swap meet in Tuscon Az my buddy and I we're known as the "Bong Dude's", hot chicks (we called em that back then) in bikini tops rolling in golf carts selling 44oz 🍺 and everyone wore a gun. And no, we didn't ever a shoot out, wayyyyy too many people with guns around for that. 🐐🇺🇸👍
What do you expect? Music industry has one of the most brutal money grabbing bastard (look at behind the music) but we as people lowered the bar by not supporting musicians and we allowed singers to use auto tune and lipsinking plus all the music videos are soft core porns

This song fills a very big hole in my heart
almost 3 decades ago, this was the very 1st song I heard after getting one of the worst phone calls one could possibly get in life.....the death of my 4 month old Nephew to SIDS...
after sitting at my kitchen counter in stunned silence for 15 mins...alone...I had to get out....this was the very 1st song that came on radio and rather fitting for the time.....there will always be a place for this song in my heart

I'm born 1990 but the 80's music is always legendary... I love it and I'm glad that I found a local radio station that plays 70% 80s music.

Hell yeah I’m 45 and from Utah but I remember the good old days camping out at the track with my buddies
