I'm so disappointed with the entire trilogy. J.J couldn't even make the Knights of Ren cool. I'm glad it's all over now. Hoping for a brighter Star Wars future.

@@urielfulgencio5285 If the people want more of the Knights of Ren, and Disney can smell a pay-check, you can bet there's going to be an animated series about them. Would say another "The Mandalorian" somewhere later down the line, but that might be pushing it.

The Knights Of Ren were an interesting concept introduced in The Force Awakens. For some reason, when they’re grouped together, they remind me of the Nazgûl (Ringwraiths) from LOTR, with Kylo Ren being similar to The Witch-King in this analogy, and Darth Sidious/ Palpatine being the Dark Lord Sauron. It’s a shame that they were kinda wasted in the Rise Of Skywalker.
Also, say what you will about the film, but the lore surrounding it is extremely interesting.

I agree. SPOILERS I pretty much was on board with Palpatine's resurrection once the film began, even I I wished, it would have started with that message from him. Also, I liked the idea that the First Order was kind of a big destraction from the true threat, the Final Order. Similar to how in the video game Metal Gear Solid V Diamond Dogs is a huge distraction from Outer Heaven. I love how Paladine had all these contingencies. It fits him as the master schemer and also I love how we now almost know he lied to Anakin's face and did actually achieve the power to cheat death. SPOILERS END.

Every time I see them, I think Nazgul. They even managed to be on an effectiveness level similar to Nazgul.
Breyerover for real though. They’re similar to how the Nazgûl looked in The Battle Of The Five Armies.

Shortest thing we can say about the Knights of Ren from the film. They were there to do nothing but look cool and pose for the camera and then get wrecked by their former leader.
I am old enough to remember a time, when the movie would explain the movie.
It's like this because for the average fan they don't care to know this stuff. But they create it in a space outside the movie so that hard-core fans can learn about it without making the movies too long
@@connorjones5817 Yeah! As a lifelong SW fan, the movies have always been like this. Every single background character has deep lore that gets explored in expanded material.
It makes the Prequels look positively masterful

I have the feeling "Kylo Ren" might actually come to mean something akin to "Ren Killer". I mean, Kylo sounds a LOT like kill, so I won't be surprised if that ends up being the meaning of the name. And through killing Ren, he becomes master of the Knights of Ren.

Out of everything I loved from this movie these guys I truly couldn't get past, they sucked and BARELY did anything in this movie. They seem so cool in the comics but the movie still didn't do them justice.

Kylo Ren and his 6 knights of Ren are like the reverse Magnificent Seven.
The knights of Ren were like Micheal Bays Decepticons. They stand around looking cool and badass but end up doing nothing but die to OP heroes
Another thing similar with the Knights of Ren and Michael Bay's Decpepticons is that their figures may be WORTH buying for certain fans so that they could make more badass animations to use as Headcannon or for display

I like the sequel trilogy for the most part but the Knights of Ren were completely wasted.

I am pissed that Kylo by himself took on all of them when Kylo and Rey together barely defeated Snoke's guards. The guards were more of a challenge than the Knights and they though spinning was a good trick. Spinning!

People complain that they weren’t explained enough. As a lifelong SW fan, the movies have always been like this. Every single background character has deep lore that gets explored in expanded material. Boba Fett and Darth Maul were big deals, but they weren’t truly explored until years later.

With those ghoulish helmets, these knights are more identifiable than the *OTHER* knights from the last BayVerse movie.

I was a bit dissapoined on them. Know they don't have a huge part, just so many oppurtunity they have to show them in action. Pretty sure they disarmed Chewie. That way the Exegol showdown could be even more awesome.
But the Rise of Kylo Ren comic is dope, and they ship should be playable at Battlefront soon!

Honestly, I just finished the amazing Resistance Reborn audiobook and it made me expect way too much from the Rise of Skywalker. The return of Wedge was my favorite scene after the Death Star wave fight. Hey Mollie we met at the bar during the Spectacular! Hope you and Alex have a merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I still think that their lore was originally going to be that they were students of Luke that went bad after the destruction of the Jedi temple. Like literally says “He has vanished with a handful of my students and slaughtered the rest.” Rain Johnson just didn’t use them at all for some reason and JJ didn’t have any space to fit in lore for them so he left it up to the comic developers. The Knights of Ren are my favorite Sequel Trilogy characters yet they are a tragedy.

The Knights of Ren are like a mishmash of the Knights of Zakuul, Dark Side Elite, Prophets of the Dark Side and the Imperial Knights from the Expanded Universe (EU).
this is the equivalent of starting a sinister six in a spider man film and just using them as side characters
One of the Knights (I think Trudgen) Actually found Darth Vader's lightsaber he got his hand cut off by Luke. He is seen wearing it on his belt
Their unique weapons sound awesome and I love that they each have different personalities. It's just too bad none of that was in the movie.
I didn't really know each knight of ren have names that's really good
These guys did less against kylo then the preatorian guards did against rey and kylo, and both of them had Sabres fro pretty much the whole fight in the TLJ scene. As soon as he gets a saber in this it's over in seconds
Rey beat some Praetorian guards with 1 or 2 days of training with Luke. In Rise of Skywalker, Rey had a year to study Jedi texts and training with Leia.
If Rey with 1 or 2 days of training was able to beat some Praetorian guards, imagine what she would do to them with 1 year of training...

I know one thing, They had about five minutes of screen time in TROS, waited nearly five years too see them kick some ass and instead Ben solo kills them with ease, a complete and utter waste, too say I was pissed off in the cinema would be a understatement

Can you please make a video on everything we know about the Unknown Regions. Rise of Skywalker gave us a brief introduction and the only time we see the regions on the big screen. They are also present in Thrawn and maybe in other canon novels however Thrawn is the only one i've read containing them. Many thanks...

@@XtremeKiwiDestroyer Palpatine wasn't the least bit surprised to see Ben Solo return to the light. He probably told them their leader had lost his way and they must now obey him. Possibly, the one who struck him down would become the new Ren.

JM I see that. But what if the current members did stem from the Acolytes. I doubt that the members have been the same 6 since they first assembled. And also Trudgen’s helmet is part Death Trooper, so that does fit with the timeline.

@J Bruce The Aftermath Trilogy of books established that after Endor there was a gang of Dark Side-obsessed folks that called themselves "the Acolytes of the Beyond" and tried to acquire all of the Sith-related items they could find. There had been speculation that the Knights of Ren (or even Snoke) might have evolved from them, but it doesn't sound like it.
I wonder if some of the Acolytes of the Beyond hitchhiked and made it onto Exegol and were part of the chanting Sith crowd in the 3rd act...
Only to be blasted into Force oblivion in the end.
all they did in tros was hang out in they goth spaceship, scooby-doo villain-like tracking main characters and getting killed in like 2 seconds. Wow, how cool and iconic characters. Thank you movies for getting us excited for 4 years about them

I was hoping for more from them in 9. Ever since we got a glimpse of them in 7 I've been super intrigued and excited to see more. I was really bummed we got nothing of them in 8, but then stoked we were getting them in 9. But then they just stood around the whole movie until the decent fight at the end, wtf!
