This game was actually my introduction to the Super Smash Bros. series. Watching my older cousin Billy playing the Subspace Emissary with his friends was one of my dearest childhood memories. Hell, I still remember how, upon them beating Rayquaza, I was like: “The wild Rayquaza fainted! The wild Rayquaza fainted!” as well as me trying to bribe one of them with a sausage link at breakfast to get him to play as King Dedede. Dedede is now one of my mains.

This game brought so many changes to the smash bros history that are some of the greatest things that is well known about smash bros.
- The smash ball and it's final smashes
- The assist trophies
- The graphics that changed the models of the characters to be more realistic. If you ask me, brawl was the most realistic out of the games while wii u/3ds and ultimate kept the models and made them more cartoonist, which is a good thing.
- Subspace emissary it's really what was well known most about this game and would always be talked about if we would get another story mode for the next smash game.
- The crossover of other franchises other than Nintendo. Which would bring hope for other fans from none Nintendo games, hoping their favorite character would join the roster.
Not sure if I miss anything I only got the ones I loved most about this game and got me into smash bros. There were some cons about this game that overshadowed this game due to mostly competitive players.
-The one percent tripping
-Slower movement than melee
-Meta Knight
If you aren't playing this game competitively and just to have fun with friends these cons won't really bother, you expect maybe playing meta knight against your friends.
The only thing i disagree about is the assist trophies (not imo in most peoples opinions) assist trophies deconfirm characters they wanted for a long time and hate them being an assist trophy even down to giving sakurai death threats, people are really toxic

This game is so important. It shaped the smash bros games to the games that we have now. Also it was my first smash game and thr best smash game made (maybe not from the comptetetive aspect)

Ssbu over exaggerates stuff and people fly off the screen like nothing but don't die and the screen shakes more and more. Brawl kept it all about the competition, although I do like gannondorf and Bowser's moves more in ssbu.

I feel like Ridley was eventually going to be added. He went from a character in the starting cutscene in melee, a boss in brawl, a stage hazard in smash 4 and now he's finally playable in Ultimate. Nice.

Melee may have been my first Smash game, but I like Brawl more.
One reason is that I got Brawl early in its lifespan (around 2009, one year after), so I got to experience more of it in full.
Even though SSE is not my preferred campaign mode in Smash, I can't deny that having Nintendo's finest interact with each other was brilliant.
I also _love_ the inclusion of Final Smashes. My favorite is Puff Up, but Giga Bowser, Waddle Dee Army, and Negative Zone are also sick.
While the aesthetic is my least favorite in the series, I firmly believe that SSBB is one of the prettiest-looking Wii games.
Finally, I would like to point out that Brawl helped me get into PokePark Wii. Many Pokemon in that game previously appeared in Brawl as player characters, Poke Ball summons, a boss, or trophies.
As you may know, PokePark got me back into Pokemon, and I credit Super Smash Bros. Brawl for much of it.
Brawl is indeed mind-blowing. 😊

This is probably the Smash Bros game I've played the most! I remember making lots of custom stages, granted a couple of those were troll stages such as ones with all drop blocks, one with only one block, and ones where you get trapped in a box!

To be honest, Smash Bros Brawl is my favorite in the Smash series.. It introduced me to Smash in 2012 and its way better than People say. Brawl is a really underated game..... My main was Sonic!

This game was the first Smash game that introduced me to the Smash series. The memories and nostalgia that hit me like a truck every time the Menu theme plays is enough to make me cry lol. I remember my cousin and I playing through Subspace in awe because of the cutscenes and the bosses. There is so much things I could say about this game because I love it so much. Brawl is truly the best Smash game.

*Sigh* Super Smash Bros Brawl, my first introduction to the series and Nintendo as a whole. Before playing this game, the only video game characters that I knew of were Sonic and Pac-man, Sonic being the series that I had played the most. I had a Gamecube but the only games I had were Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 and Sonic Mega Collections. It wasn't until I played this game on the Wii at my friend's house did I fall in love with Nintendo. It's funny because the only reason why I wanted to play the game was because Sonic was in it and the only other character I knew was Mario, no one from his series just Mario himself. After playing it and falling in love I asked my parents for a Wii for Christmas and eventually got it and this game. The main theme is etched into my brain and is probably one of if not my favorite piece of music ever made. I wasted hours on end in Subspace Emmisary, learning about all the Nintendo cast and how cool they were. Truly, playing this game was one of the happiest moments of my life. Ever since then I've become a hardcore Nintendo fan. Just about each of their series I looked into after seeing them first in Brawl. Mario, Kirby, Fire Emblem, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Earthbound, and a lot more are series that I love now thanks to this game. It's probably my favorite game of all time and I can't wait for Ultimate in December so I can play this series again.

I’m STILL having trouble deciding whether my favorite SMB game is brawl or ultimate. Don’t get me wrong, Ultimate has better gameplay, but I just have so many good memories with brawl sense it was the game to introduce me to the series! Plus sub space emissary was amazing with its cutscenes and music! The intro music makes me feel so much nostalgia! ^^ long live Brawl!
