I can only play wii games at 480p on my computer because it's not that powerful, but the games still look really good. If you put some games to 720p, they look like Wii U games.
if you're thinking this even more for galaxy 1, he used the switch version. in a part where it showed you how to use the controller it showed a joycon instead of a wiimote

Subspace Emissary alone makes Brawl my favorite in the Smash series. I have nostalgia for Melee as well, and Ultimate is pretty great, but nothing compares to that one Adventure mode

It’s actually become a tradition in my extended family to always play a round of Swap Meet from Wii Party every holiday we’re together. That game gets strategic and heated FAST. We’re all in our 20s now but anytime we are together for the holidays, we boot that up out of tradition. Wii Party really is shockingly underrated.
Swap Meet is so much fun and that's such a nice, fun tradition. Wii Party had so much to offer, it definitely deserves more appreciation!

For number 9, I used to love that game. I even found a bug, before I even knew what bugs were. It was in the last level shown in this video, and you could use it to softlock a character inside a cell that requires a droid to open without having free play. Damn, so many memories attached to Lego Star wars

15:04 Man, it’s really disappointing how Nintendo forgot to add Super Mario Galaxy 2 in 3D All-Stars. Galaxy 2 was so much fun. Plus, a lot of people still remember that game. Plus, 3D All-Stars could have been a LOT more worth the 60 dollar price tag if Galaxy 2 was included in that compilation

I’m glad to see some brawl appreciation. The comp players dunk on this game so hard but I don’t think I’ve ever played a game with so much content. If you’re a single player kinda person there really is no better smash game for you. I love the sub space emissary and it’s sad we’ll probably never get anything like it again

“You play through them once and that’s it” for the Galaxy games. Yeah no. I go out of my way to play for months on end after my initial play through. Well then again it’s my favorite game of all time.
Mario games are definitely worth replaying, they're just great fun to romp through for the 10th time. I still go back to Galaxy, even if I find the Comet Observatory tedious to get through

When i was a kid i never finished mario galaxy 2, but when i came back to it late 2020 i finished the entire game and had more fun than could've imaged.
Twilight Princesses is my 5th favourite games of all time. I personally think it's the best Zelda game next to Botw. It's story balances the dark asthectic and themes like in Majora's mask and the light Harty hardcore adventure in OOT. And it has the best dungeons and overwolrd of all of Zelda. It's incredibly underrated (and has better motion controls than SS)
You can't even play Skyward Sword without a specific wiimote which is kind of a bummer

Eh... I don't really know. I think it's one of the most praised entry's in the series especially because it is considered by many as the last good (home console) Mario party. Being a Wii game and the nostalgia wave of those who grew up with it growing even bigger and bigger as they become teenagers and young adults, I think it might actually be more on the "overrated" side if anything.
True, many people trash on it just because of the motion controls (even though with a good enough wiimote they’re hardly a problem)
i still consider Brawl to be the best Smash title due to its sheer amount of content and the fact that it felt intentional

It isn’t my favorite Smash game but IMO, it is very easy to pick up, and play it again.

The Wii was my childhood. I’ve played most of the games on this list and loved all pretty much all of them. My favorite game of all time is on the wii, Super Mario Galaxy. Such an amazing game
Mario Galaxy is one of my favourite games of all time, and the Wii was my childhood as well. Every game mentioned on this list I loved, out of the ones I've played- especially Galaxy 1 and Wii Party.
(My favourite game of all time is on the 3DS (Miitopia) but the Wii has a lot of contenders.)

in my second grade music class we had a new teacher that at the beginning of each class played a youtube video and let us dance to it and on yhe last day of school she brought her wii and let us take turns playing

Hey, Nathaniel, I think it's great that you reviewed Wii games. It really takes me back to when I played them as a kid. Mario Galaxy, Kart, and Smash are my favorite ones of all.
I played twilight princess when I was sick. Mange to get all the way to Zant. I loved Wii sport resort but a bit sad I didn’t have Wii fit. It looked fun

On days where recess wasn't an option our kindergarten teacher would put this game on and have us exsersize like that. It was honestly a very uneque way of getting us to exsersize.
The accuracy of this list compared to my individual rankings of games like Brawl, the Galaxy duology, Wii Sports Resort, et cetera is honestly mind blowing. It’s like you freaking read my mind, man.
One thing that most don't seem to notice is just how graphically impressive TP really is. It's average for Wii standards but for a Gamecube game it looks amazing. Midna, wolf-link and every other character is extremely well animated.
I can get behind the list. In my own personal list, Metroid prime trilogy, WarioWare shake it and NPC Pikmin 2 are on my favorites list. :)

Same for me. SMG1 is one of my most replayed Mario games and my current favorite main line title, while SMG2 I've only ever played once ironically. Not really sure why.
@@Zitsanrael1117 personally I just have more appreciation for galaxy 1 overall, it feels more mature than galaxy 2 that just feels like a happy go lucky adventure. Galaxy 1 tells stories, and brings much more emotion than for galaxy 2. Oh, and Galaxy 1 has Rosalina.
@@sady3327 I absolutely enjoyed having Rosalina as a guide more so than Patrick from Spongebob. But I'm someone who never puts narrative over gameplay when critiquing a game. Gameplay should always be the first and foremost priority. I just remember having some issues with some of the new elements introduced, some of the new power ups didn't really jive with me and I really didn't like the green stars. I feel like SMG2 did have higher highs than SMG1, but I also feel like it had MUCH lower lows, which is why I prefer SMG1 overall.
@@Zitsanrael1117 I mean, for Mario games, of course story is useless, but when there is one, it is obviously very interesting. Like bro, the story from Super Paper Mario... The story gives you emotions, and can be very important if the game is little centered around it
@@sady3327 I'm not saying that a good story doesn't belong in a game, but what I mean is that if the story is great but the gameplay is lacking then why bother making a game instead of writing a book or a movie? That's why I say that gameplay should be the first and foremost priority and that story, graphics, music, etc. should all be secondary development points. I play games to PLAY games, not to watch them. The example of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 vs. Re:Coded immediately comes to my mind here. 358/2 tells my personal favorite single story in the series but is so tedious to get through I call it a "bad game", while Re:Coded tells virtually no story but is actually fun and I would call it a good game.
I understand that a good story can be a great way to invest the player, but if the gameplay sucks than no matter how great a story the game may tell I still don't want to play it.
Never thought I’d see the day that Nathan talked about lego Star Wars
It really seems like the only people who don’t like brawl can’t separate it from the first one and look at it objectively as it’s own game. It’s indescribable how that story made me feel being like 10 or whatever seeing it for the first time, I wasn’t allowed to play any violent or scary games so the dark themes really made it stick out to me, I remember getting stuck on one part for literal YEARS. I would replay the story over and over, getting to the donkey Kong part, but then that one little section where it’s pitch black I’d get stuck Bc I had a little kid brain and I didn’t get that you just had to look around in the dark and hit a switch or something, I just COULD NOT figure it out and when I finally did literally YEARS later I was so excited I finished the rest of the game in one day which was crazy for me as a kid that was the first time I sat there all day playing a video game

I've only played a few of those during the Wii days. Galaxy one I've only played through the 3D All Stars collection, but haven't finished yet.

I also thought of 64 DS and 3D All-Stars (not sequels, but ports/remasters could also be a garnish of approval from Nintendo).
I prefer Galaxy 2 and Odyssey but I can see why people prefer Galaxy. It truly feels like you’re in space with the backgrounds and the music is by far the best of any Mario game. And the story is genuinely really emotional in some points. Magical
