The pigeons flying I think represent how Shigechi's death sets everything in motion, and Rohan noticing them might be how he investigates it further to find it out, or probably that he notices because of what Reimi said to him. Same to Koichi looking up after.
Also surprised you guys didn't notice that the pictures with Kira's father, each one is different, specifically the bottom right one, showing that he can move in the photo
And I'm hella sure that Kira's face being obstructed is Cinderella's power replacing his face
The multiple Kiras behind Hayato in my mind indicate how he has to overcome him multiple times by both going back in time once he's held hostage as well as in general being pressured by him, with his eyes closing once he finds out the truth and the hands coming to implant the bomb around the same time. Likewise, the reverse version of it has the hands break away from him with his eyes opening, showing his freedom later on, and you guys already talked about how the mom waits

Mother's Basement Perhaps it's to say that not only Johnathan's justice was passed down, but also the stand powers to fight for justice? Dunno.
Because it was Jonathan's Body that was pierced by the stand arrow. Also, the reason why Grandpa Higashikata wasn't in the heavens during Great Days was because his own issue was with Angelo, who was already a problem and was already dealt with by that fate worthy of Perfect Kars.
Which begs the question, think Crazy Diamond could have done something similar, or just a fool's thought?
When I first saw the OP, I kinda took the arrow-hand and JUSTICE to mean that there was the connection to Enya (on account of her stand, Justice) and how most of the shenanigans now revolve around this arrow. But I won't question the directors on this.
It kinda makes sense. Phantom Blood doesn't really kick off until Jonathan goes on a quest to see Dio answer for the crimes against his father. And his end goal was pretty much seeing justice done. In contrast- Battle Tendency was more about Joseph on a strict time limit to slay some aztec gods of fitness and make sure they didn't drive the human race to extinction- and Stardust Crusaders was more about defeating Dio to save Holly, Mother of Jotaro, and daughter of Joseph.

My girlfriend pointed out that the probable reason why Josuke's grandpa wasn't in the clouds with Reimi and the others is because everyone up there were the characters killed by Kira who haven't gotten their justice yet. Grandpa Higashikata was killed by Angelo, and Jojo already dished out justice for him.

You just described like half the stands in the show.
When everyone points to the sky in Great Days, I like to think It’s a subtle callback to when Jonathan did so in Sono Chi no Sadame. The act of pursuing justice because of someone you lost and doing what’s morally right is a common theme in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure that goes disappointingly unnoticed.
First you have Jonathan, who fights in honor of his father who sacrificed what little life he had so his son could live. Then you have Baron Zeppeli sacrificing his life as seen in his future when he talked to Tonpetty. Jonathan sees that Dio’s evil intentions are now way past corrupting the Joestar fortune and takes it upon himself to put an end to his regime.
Then fast forward to Joseph, who loses Caesar and vows to stop Kars, Wammu and Esidisi to avenge him and potentially save the world. Though Joseph didn’t have an actual plan, he still pledged to do so because of it being morally correct. It worked in his favor.
When Jotaro confronts DIO, the one thing that’s on his mind is the loss of his grandfather. He didn’t know Joseph for over fifty days and yet followed him and risked his life to stop something that had absolutely nothing to do with him besides him having a Stand and being a Joestar. Jotaro’s anger is twisted with a spite to put an end to evil, which is an idea that both Jonathan and Joseph emphasized in their respective parts.
Then you have Josuke. A typical highschooler who has no ties with the Joestar bloodline at all until Jotaro shows up. When Josuke finds out the truth behind Okuyasu’s father, he doesn’t have to help him, but he decides to anyway because It’s the right thing to do. This leads up to Kira, and yes them pointing to the heavens in Great Days is a way of remembering who died because of Kira, but in my opinion It’s a subtle way of literally saying that history repeats itself. Starting with Jonathan and leading up to Josuke, every JoJo has lost someone who has pushed them to serve justice and slay evil. Granted, Joseph doesn’t really count as a loss but Jotaro was under that impression when fighting DIO.
This is just my opinion, though :)

And the issue with grampa higashikata... only thing i can think of is the fact that kira had nothing to do with that. Great vid btw, had been waiting since part 4 started.

It's a reference to the struggle between Kira's destruction and Josuke's reformation.
@@ethanadams8109 Well yeah, that's what most people agree on, but hear me out: When the logo breaks, we can see all the powers that helped him escape from difficult situations, like this: Killer Queen helped him get rid of his victim's body(Reimi's case ended up in the newspapers, so big problem), Sheer Heart Attack helped him get rid of Jotaro and Koichi that one time, Stray Cat helped him *a lot* against Josuke and Okuyasu, and Cinderella's "face change" allowed him to escape once again.
And then there's Bite The Dust which, as mentioned by Kira himself, was only created so that he wouldn't have to deal with Jotaro, and that's nowhere to be seen, or is it?

I know I am terribly late on this, but I kinda realized that Koichi is staring at the heart before it's destroyed. Does that symbolize the fact that he was the first one who discovered who Kira was? (Without dying might I add)

At 18:06 Koichi is walking from the Golden Wind sign. This shows that Koichi returns from part four, and is the first returning character from jjba.

bro what? even if we assume you meant character outside of the jojos (i.e joseph, jotaro), there's still PLENTY of recurring characters: Speedwagon, Suzi Q, Lisa Lisa, Erina, Straizo, just to name a few.
Fun fact: There is an english cover of the Crazy Noisy Bizzare Town by We.B, and it features Josuke's VA Billy Kametz himself singing it as well.
Some might already know this, but i just love to point out those interesting things.
The 4th emblem of the Breakdown logo is the head of the original Kosaku Kawajiri, the Highlighted parts is the spots where Kira forced Aya Tsuji to replace, which are the nose, mouth, forehead and eyes and the black lines is the way of how Kira will die, having his head run over by a ambulance tower.
I'd like to see this comment get more thumbs up, so they can see it. I'm a little disturbed that its meaning was missed/declared confusing as it's pretty obvious.
5:13 the Joestar ORA ORA sign is pointing to Kira's symbol, foreshadowing that he gets ORA ORA'd

at 9:13 you can see that koichi is behind jotaro kinda symbolizing that jotaro didn’t have much trust in him during the killer investigation and later on koichi will try to prove how reliable he can be.

I think that that dude eventually will die, he can't eat. The two who truly got fates worse than death (I haven't read part 6 and onwards) are Kars (same fate, only in space and he is immortal) and Part 5 spoilers:

I havent seen anyone comment this, but in chase during the part where its cycling through the heroes and theyre all looking at the camera and you can see the next one facing away behind them, (9:07) when jotaro looks at the camera you can see koichi behind him but hes looking back at jotaro. I think this is showing how koichi looks up to him.
At 18:33 you can see the shadow of Cheap Trick ripping at Rohan’s back
Other things to note:
-The way Araki's name appears on screen is a reference to Yes, being stylized in the same way as their logo.
-David Productions has confirmed that the golden clock in Great Days is Jonathan, being a sun and his hamon, which also fits well with Joseph's Hermit Purple sorrounding it and the clock hands which could be a reference to Jotaro's Star Platinum time stopping abilities.
-The figures of business men behind Hayato, besides what you've said here, i think are also a reference to the Magritte's painting: Golconde.
-I was surprised that you didn't mention that the pointing to the sky is also a reference to the manga cover (that also is a reference to Pearl Jam's album Ten).

I think that in great days we are seeing the end from grandpa Higashikata's perspective which is why we focus on josuke before going to the sky, symbolizing that he was watching over his grandson the entire journey

I think the presents symbolize Joseph spending all of Josuke's
money on baby stuff. Probably not, though.
Bill Nye, or am I? That’s what I thought too. The baby was a critical character, wasn’t she? In the long run, she saved Morioh. She made sure that Rohan won against Janken Boy, so that his Stand wasn’t stolen. You see, if his Stand was stolen, he wouldn’t be able to read about Cheap Trick’s user’s back, and wouldn’t’ve looked and been possessed. If he weren’t possessed, Cheap Trick would’ve possessed someone else, and driven them to burn the pictures that helped to find Kira. The only way to avoid that would be to kill it, and Rohan and Koichi were the only ones who knew about Reimi’s alleyway. It would be too risky to count on Koichi (sorry Koichi), and, additionally, no one would know not to show their back.
But that’s about it :3

Something I noticed about the group photo in Chase. Hazamada isn't just pointing skywards toward Reimi, he's also pointing directly at Rohan, amazed to see him. Tamami is also not just pointing skywards, if you were to draw a line along where Tamami points you'd see it intersects with Shigechi, Okuyasu and Josuke. This possibly alludes to the set of episodes in which these three use their Stands to scam money out of a bank, then out of each other. Just how Tamami tried to scam Koichi.
Also, the flock of pidgeons in Chase represent Shigechi's Stand: Harvest. When Kira's nail clippers intersect with Shigechi's neck the pidgeons are startled and fly away, toward the sky. Shigechi is heading skyward to join Reimi in Kira's long line of victims. Rohan observes the pidgeons: as detached as he is, even he is affected by Shigechi's death. This gives us a good frame of reference. If Rohan is disturbed by Shigechi's death then you can imagine how devastated Josuke and Okuyasu are.
I think the shot with the gift-wrapped presents behind the Jostar heart doesn't just represent Shigechi's friendship, but also his final gift: the single clue that leads Jotaro and Koichi to Kira's tailor. I think what makes this even more likely is that this shot is from Shigechi's perspective in the afterlife, but the shot stops moving at the presents before Kira's presence enters the frame and destroys the heart. Shigechi is already dead but the final remains of his Stand: Harvest bring the clue to Josuke before his existence is snuffed out forever.
I'm shocked that Geoff missed the meaning in the image of Kosaku's face in Great Days. Everything that appears in that sequence is a weapon that Kira uses against Josuke and friends. Killer Queen, Sheer Heart Attack, Stray Cat and his identity, obscured by the power of Cinderella. The fact that nobody knows what Kira looks like anymore is another in a long line of weapons Kira has at his disposal.
The telephone box next to the Vento Aureo sign in Great Days is also a sly allusion to the connection that Morioh town has to Parte 5. This stands on the opposite side of this continuous shot from the sun, which also represents the past: specifically the two hamon users Jonathan and Joseph, who utilized the power of the sun to do battle.
Killer Queen reaching down in the first version of Great Days to grab Hayato's hat represents the grip that Kira holds against him when he imposes Bites The Dust. He pulls his head down, resisting Killer Queen's influence but is ultimately gripped by the Stand's power. The shot has a double meaning which changes with the Bites The Dust OP, where you can flip this notion and take it to be a suggestion that Hayato will soon escape the grasp of Killer Queen's power once more. The meaning that Woolie presents in this video still stands, so this shot actually has a triple-meaning.
In the shot where Rohan is sitting at his porch in Great Days Bites The Dust, the shadow of Cheap Tricks is still on his back. At first you'd think this was just laziness on the animation staff's part, but I think it might have been intentional. Cheap Tricks was a Stand that almost guaranteed death for its host, in much the same way Rohan is fated to die under the effects of Bites The Dust. I think Cheap Tricks' presence even here suggests that although the Stand is absolutely gone from the story, Rohan is still a victim of inevitability.

About that bit about Cheap Trick, even in the way he dies there's a plain reference to that stand: Before he met his demise, Killer Queen triggers a first time, which causes Rohan's back to implode.
Also, in Chase, the photo strip of hands starts as Alive Yoshihiro holding child Yoshikage's hand, that whole bit shows their relationship
That window part with Shigechi really hit me, saying the gifts represented the gift of friendship they gave him

The seen where Okuyasu kicks the can could be there to represent how he is putting off the issue of trying to fix his father. This is taken directly from wikipedia:

You mention Grandpa Higashikata not being in the clouds with everyone a couple times, so I thought I should point out that Justice has already been served for his killer unlike all the rest. None of the cast would blame Kira for Grandpa Higashikata's death as Angelo was the one to kill him and Josuke personally dealt justice to him personally already. The only other one shown that wasn't killed by Kira directly would be Keicho but if memory serves Okuyasu does blame Kira for his death. Considering the attention to detail they have I think its very likely it was intentional he isn't there.

Okuyasu mainly blamed Red-Hot Chili Pepper for his brother's death, and while he might blame the stand arrow for the death of his brother, the same logic could be used for grandpa Higashikata since the stand arrow was what gave the Aqua Necklace stand to its user. Kira was in no way connected to Keicho's death except through the stand arrow, which is also connected to Grandpa Higashikata's death.

A Person Does it matter if Josuke doesn’t blame him? That would imply that the moment doesn’t show who deserves justice but rather who the characters THINK deserve justice from Kira. Pretty unfair to grandpa Higashikata then because he is just as deserving of being up there but isn’t because Josuke doesn’t blame Kira.

Alternatively, I've seen many instance were a heart with a fist was considered as Jotaro's "logo", while a anchor was Josuke's, so perhaps the heart is Jotaro and the anchor Josuke, all wrapped in their father/ grandfather's Hermit Purple
Also, taking a new look at that heart at the start of Chase, I noticed it's filled with with a short of wind-ish pattern. First thing that came into mind when I noticed was Jonathan's Hamon breathing.
So maybe this whole heart is more about the whole Joestar legacy.

One detail I especially love in Great Days is that when Kira is blinded by the light of justice, Killer Queen appears on the other side of him like a shadow, or more precisely, Killer Queen is the shadow (and direct consequence) of the light of justice catching up with Kira, as it’s his mechanism for disposing of bodies and later hiding his identity. In the “Rewind” version of Great Days, when this shot is reversed the light recedes and Killer Queen is dismissed, fading away as Kira turns away to carry on into the darkness without a care in the world.

Two things I feel differently about
5:02 I would say the "OraOra" sign is foreshadowing as to what will eventually happen to Kira at the end.
17:27 I would also like to think that the justice clock also is a slight reference to Enya from part 3. Not only is the name of her stand Justice but she was the one who gave Kira's father one of the arrows, if I remember correctly.
Pretty good, more in detail then what I did. Just some mistakes I noticed. The Arc Villain for Chase's OP isn't RHCP, Ratt isn't the name of Rat, its the name of the stand, the one that run across screen is in reference to Bug-Eaten escape the house while his ally unnamed Rat is motionless in the cake with and eye ball and lips, since he dies near the goo pile. Also the woman's hands in the Love Deluxe and Cinderella segment is wearing the same dress as the discard on in the beginning, this could be in reference to the first of Kira's "Girlfriends" we see that leads to the death of Shigechi which in turns leads to the death Aya. The arrows could also be in reference to Bite's the Dusts ability trapping everyone in place except Josuke who is able to break through, given the help of Hayato. The stylized letters aren't just sometimes used in the manga, they are literally the B cover for chapter 321. The face is literally the injuries left on Kosaku. The eyes, the mouth and the roots in his hair Kira took to copy Kosaku's hair line. In the Rohan shot you can also see Cheap Trick on Rohan's back in his shadow in the first half. Josuke's grandfather literally got justice in the first Arc, Josuke doomed his killer to a Kars like fate. His name literally means Killer, also its in reference to another chapter cover.

You didn’t mention my favorite part of Great Days. The fact that things in the opening constantly repeat. The characters in the first verse. Rohan in his home. Images of Kira with Shinobu. They all repeat multiple times, mimicking Bites the Dust’s ability to make time repeat over and over again. The repeating theme only stops after Reimi does the Justice point to the sky as well. That opening is my favorite for a reason. It’s deeply beautiful and so fucking thought through.
