Lol right. They won 10 games with a negative point differential on the season. Their defense kept them in games and they just got stronger there with the signing of Patrick Queen.
They love to hate the black and gold and every year they are wrong. If Kenny would of played a little better we could of won a playoff game at least. If we fix the offensive line and add some more depth we will be fine.

Russ is going to have a good season and Colin and Nick and going to say “I’ve said all along that Russ was going to be a game changer for the Steelers.”
Improving offensive line and proven running backs that complement each other. Pickens is a rising star if he matures emotionally and doesn’t become the “distraction” receiver. Good to great TE and a defense that annually ranks among the top half of the league. I would not be surprised to see the Steelers select a receiver in the draft following Johnson’s departure.

What about fields to Indy to back up Richardson? Play style is similar so you wouldn’t have to change the offense if Richardson gets hurt again…
Comparable play styles and both are supported by a generally “good” team and coaching. I could also see Fields being a backup for Hurts in Philly.
During the regular season, Wilson was statistically comparable to Mahomes. Did he play up to the expectations of his contract, absolutely not. Did he show improvement in year two with the Broncos, absolutely. Russ made some incredible throws to Sutton in the corner of the end zone. I think Russ and the Steeler fans will take some time to appreciate one another but if the team has success, that fan base will support anyone.

The Bears should hold Fields into training camp or early in the season as a starting QB almost always has a season ending injury.

Regarding the Chargers, I can't see how Harbaugh going to the Chargers is the right move, unless he really, really, really wanted to be in SoCal. They have aging WRs, their QB is on a huge deal, they're gonna lose their best defensive players in a year due to the cap, they didn't even have enough cap space to get Saquon Barkley, with $30M added to their cap, and they're in the same division as the best team in the NFL, so they'll never win the division. If Harbaugh's agent called to the Bears, he gets that job, with a much higher upside
Mack, Keenan Allen, and Mike Williams could all be cut today. Bosa might be traded, and then they still have a $20M dead cap hit from JC Jackson. Ekeler and Gerald Everett are already gone. Here's a question: what if Harbaugh drafts McCarthy at 5? They can sit him behind Herbert for a couple of years, then dump Herbert in 2026 when his cap hit goes North of $40M. Crazier things have happened.

Cincy should trade Tee Higgins and their 1st round pick for him; Joe, Jamar and Justin together again (in the Jungle) on their way BACK to NOLA for the Super Bowl; and yes, theu could afford them both

Bears could hold until training camp or early into the season. Starting QB always sustains a season ending injury and his value might be the highest at this time. As a Vikings fan, I watched Teddy Bridgewater suffer a gruesome non contact knee injury that resulted in the GM trading a 1st round pick for Sam Bradford that year.

The Chiefs only bring in older former starters with high football IQ. Guys Andy can cobble together a play package for that hides their deficiencies for a half or a couple games if needed. They wouldn't want a young guy who still deserves another shot at starting with a real team and Fields wouldn't and shouldn't sign to be a backup anywhere.

Even in his prime Russ needed to be propped up by an elite defense (LOB). Now in his later years he definitely needs it since mobile QBs don't age well. Russ only won a single game last year when the defense didn't force more than two turnovers. Unless the defense plays at an elite level, Nick is correct that Russ is done.
