  • Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright discuss Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears and ask if Chicago is the best fit for Williams, and if the combination of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields will make the Pittsburgh Steelers QB room dangerous. Plus, they determine how much credit LeBron James should receive for D’Angelo Russell’s latest successes.

      @biggt0820 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, whats amazing is how far people will go to contradict something just because a LeBron fan made the point. Kyrie was ROY (lockout season). Then his second year he played only 59 games, and in his 3rd year he went down almost 2 full ppg. This is while the Cavs were a bottom feeder, too. He was an all star because the East was weaker and because of fan popularity. There was a real narrative that he might be a bust, given his #1 overall draft status. Deny it all you want, rational people remember it was there. @@JBullock54

    I think what Nick isn’t keeping in mind is that sure the bears were okay last year, but Justin fields was good. He was good enough to keep his job if Caleb wasn’t on the table. Usually a number one pick is worth 3 wins because the previous qb was a detriment. Justin Fields was not a detriment and in my opinion was better last year, than Caleb will be this year.

    think of how many close 1 score games the Bears lost with Fields while still almost being a 500 team, consider the fact that Fields is literally the worst 4th quarter QB in football since he came in the league/the biggest "crunch time" meltdown artist in the last 3 years, then remember how much better the Bears roster has gotten every year (including this offseason with more to come), and then finally accept the simple reality that Caleb is miles ahead of Fields as a prospect, and is honestly more polished as a rookie who hasn't taken an NFL snap yet than Fields is after 3 years of starting....
    also don't give me the "it was the Bears fault they'll ruin Caleb too" excuse, unless you can answer to me how to develop a project QB who literally complained that coaches "giving him information" was "too confusing" for him on the field because he expected to just play with reaction/athleticism and just find the wide open guy or take off running like he did at Ohio State which spoiler alert, is 100% NOT how the NFL works lol
    also then would have to explain to me how the Bears with a good improving o-line, who bypassed several QBs to continue building around Fields and kept adding weapons, was this black hole pit of despair that Fields had no chance in while Pittsburgh, who literally invests LESS in their offense than any team in the NFL, who hasn't had a good o-line in 6-7 years, who just traded their WR2 for a washed overpriced cornerback, is some elite offensive structure that develops QBs and lets them thrive hahaha like anyone who believes this, i'd love to hear how

Williams struggled against garbage defenses in college and became wide eyed when facing heavy pressure which Vikings, Lions, Packers have some great pass rushing Dlines. No Lebron hate but he does not deserve credit for DLo’s reemergence and he does not make everyone better…Lebron plays a “sexier” version of the brand of ball Luka plays now/Harden played when he was a superstar. He elevates guys who are specialists and can play within his system, but those are usually lower end guys. Guys whose games have multiple facets usually struggle next to him because it’s hard to translate on ball skills into an off ball role. Lebron is a great passer and has A1 ball IQ, but just like playing with a Jordan or Kobe, there is a cost to being his teammate. If you can’t fit into his off ball scheme, then generally your numbers drop as his teammate. Kyrie was an exception because he’s the greatest/one of the greatest ball handlers, so Lebron let him handle more as the seasons went on. DLo is thriving mostly in situations where he can initiate the offense; even if that means passing it to Lebron and then getting it back for an open shot. Leveraging screens as the ball handler to get open after handing off to another player is way different than being a spot-up shooter or playing off ball from the jump. But respect Lebron nonetheless

Also they had SEAN DESAI and MATT PATRICIA at DC, now they have VIC FANGIO. There hasnt been a bigger coaching upgrade from any team in the league better than the eagles. Eagles will be on the tv in February and it wont be close
