  • The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded QB Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles after he was frustrated with the acquisition of Russell Wilson. Nick Wright, Kevin Wildes, and Danny Perkins react to the news and if the Steelers are dangerous with Russ. Plus, the Chicago Bears are odds favorites to draft USC QB Caleb Williams with the 1st overall pick. They discuss Chicago’s plans for Caleb and what his ceiling might be as a rookie.

He completed 66% of his passes, which is his career average. He had 26 TDs and 8 INTs, for a 3:1 TD-INT ratio, which was also one of the tops in the league. That was in 15 games. The Bears are not even offering Fields in any trade. The media is clueless. The Bears are stacked on both sides of the ball as of yesterday. They are not going to give this veteran team over to a rookie. The media makes up scenarios as they speak. I'm sure the Falcons, Steelers, and every other team needing a QB reached out to the Bears about a trade, and Poles listened. But that was it. Williams hasn't played one down in the NFL and is already an anointed
savior. So many number-one overall QBs in the past 25 years have been just as hyped, and other than Payton Manning, all the others were disappointing, to say the least.
Do the math. The Bears now have only four draft picks going into the draft. Two of them are top ten including the number one overall. The Bears are deciding right now what draft compensation offer to accept before trading the number one pick. That is the only thing that makes any sense. Then these same sports talk shows will praise the Bears for what they get back in draft compensation. Who knows, maybe next years overall number one.

Hot take, Fields is a worse QB than Pickett. Also next 2 years Pickett makes 980k and 2.2m Fields makes 6 mil and 25.6 mil if the team acquiring him picks up his option. Nobody is paying Fields that to be their backup. And nobody is trading anything at all for Fields to be a 1 yr backup before hitting FA. Also lastly, by all means defend Fields 30 ints and 38 fumbles in his career already 😂

The 6000/2000 stat is so misleading. It tries to put Fields in the same category as Cam and Lamar, but cam had over 11k yards passing his first three years and Lamar had almost 9k passing. So Fields averages 2k passing in his first three years?? Geez.

Those practice squad qb's? You're insane! Your notes are so off. I also feel you made it bias but added stats. I appreciate that. Either way, you got a new sub.

Justine fields should go to the Jets and understudy with Rogers and be prepared if he gets hurt again.

Russ has proven that he’s not as good as we might’ve thought at one point, but I think an adult that’s gonna be about business is exactly the kind of quarterback that Mike Tomlin needs. The Steelers have been a verge playoff team with a winning record despite below average QB play.

Justin Fields should go to the Jets. Backup Aaron Rodgers, learn more of the passing game and then he's the next guy.
