Personally, I had Softube Console 1, but I sold them, because they forced/limited me to work only with their plugins. I suggested many times that they open the code so that one could freely choose which brands of plugins to use their controller (Console 1), but they did not listen. Nowadays, even an industry giant like SSL has open-sourced its equivalent driver and allows me to freely choose whether I want to work with its plugins or those from another manufacturer. Summary, in my case, the only thing I want/value is a controller that allows me to use the mouse less,...), but never in exchange for having to buy more plugins that I either don't like or don't need,... , I already have my favorite plugins,... I love the freedom of choice, and Console 1 doesn't give me that,... I hope the comment is useful to you.

Great video, again! I can only say that I don't have to use a mouse or computer screen (almost). Magically I touch the knob and see all on small displays of ml3. Apollo Central works ok, too (almost). Is it worth it? YES. Is it an upgrade comparing it to mk2? YES. I have been a good boy for all year so why not. It is mine now.

Just got my mk3 a couple days ago, and have been experimenting with it a bit. Is DAW controller available while using Logic? If so, I haven't figured it out yet...such as assigning/controlling sends via the mk3. Thanks

It’s definitely a beautiful workflow and very simple unlike other control surfaces.
As you didnt mention it, I am assuming you still cant control non Softube plugins? I am not critiquing the sound of the Softube ones just that everyone does have some of their own specific "goto" plugins that need to fit into the workflow.
Spot on mate. You can control Softube and select UAD plugs.
The point of this machine is to have a good sounding “console like” device. I dont know anybody that owns a ssl board and complains about the eq and compressor knobs on the board not being able to control other plugins. Yes this is not for everyone. This is meant to make your work flow much faster and not meant to be like every other board on the market where you can spending hours setting parameters and routing what knobs you want to do what… theres so many control surfaces you can choose for that. For what this does it is amazing and thats why people bought the last 1 and loved it.

@@michaelrice6620 If you have any decent analog console then you dont complain and work with the board. This isn't the case here - if you have to work with plugins then you want to get the ones that give you the sound and workflow you need.
The Softube ones are commendable but they aren't necessarily the best. Why be locked into an ecosystem decided by a marketing department?
Having a physical interface with knobs makes a massive difference to speed and quality of work. At present the MP Midi and RockSolid Audio devices work great for this across vendors.
It was worth it for me..
