Thanks for making this video! I’ve been on the C1 mkII for several years and still enjoy using it on every mix. Great to see Softube implementing these new features!
Console 1 is the best ITB mixing experience, especially the accompanying plugin/channelstrip. All professional and simple GUI, no useless fancy GUI, completely modular channelstrip. It is the best Softube product yet not many people know that
Thanks for this and other videos. Great work. I'm using PT but looks like i would lose a lot of functionality with the mkIII. Are you happy with the integration with pro tools?
I have a weird relationship with faders, I either have 100 or I have better workflow with one which at that point is only for automation. Plus, I got no more space on my desk
Thank you. That would be my artist (and my fiancee) and that's one of my full blown productions 👉 th-cam.com/video/Vzag8oKVn08/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Kwc62f1YePcyydeU
Is there any other option when it comes to mixing with hardware ? I saw this model its already kind of old in the market . Thanks for the informative video btw. Blessed to find ur chanel. Sorry i just notices its the Mk3 , thanks for sharing.
It's now really worth it. Not that it wasn't already, but only if you had a huge library Softube plugins already... but this compatibility really makes it a much better deal. Or rather a easier way to warrant a buy... which I like when I crave something lol. I wonder if they will had more compatibility with other companies down the line. Not overly likely due to the companies they given compatibility to are exclusive companies. FabFilter way less than UAD, so there is hope. At the moment, this is enough for myself. Preamps are impressive being able to used as colour as confidently as I would in the analogue domain. They do not end up clashing with themselves on high track counts as I find a lot of emulation preamps do. Currently really wanting to try a pair of analogue preamps on a mix bus... this would be a good process on the mix before that.
Love my MK2 mixing system... I " broke" down and just ordered the MK3, amazing piece of gear... also the addition of the master button.... would be great if they developed a 20 fader unit to match.
@@mixbustv I'm hoping the fader unit isn't cluttered up with a bunch of unneeded buttons... just a clean fader unit with just faders and I can combine a couple to get the count I want otherwise I'll just stick with the 11 faders I have with console fader.
You know what would be a great teaming for plugin control? How about it controlling WES AUDIO and other digitally controlled hardware unit plugins 🤔... a direction all companies should take in a analogue, especially when new I/O connections will be made when Atmos is a norm
I got Mk2 but the new plugin GUI for console 1 is really cool because you get a great visual and capability to make Frankenstein style channel strips that to my money use the best plugins from UAD to Softube to now beings able to use Fab Filter great vid🤘💀🍻🔥
@@mixbustv My bad, they call that "Expansion". I'm asking the question because I still hesitate with the SSL UC1. If I need to purchase tons of additional stuff, that can help me to make up my mind :D
Can softube console 1 mkiii have fabfilter q3 loaded and hear the harsh frequencies to tame like in the plugin alone when you click on the headphone icon to hear only that frequency?
@@mixbustv Just feel everyone with their own flavour .. and moreover I will do that for free.. sometimes you might be busy and need someone to do that for you I am not adding up my tag on it. Just a song to see want I can come up with .
Also the build quality on that thing is horrible. I bought one and I've had to have three replacement units because of failed display, buttons broke and power just stopped working. Quality assurance on this is not good at all.
I had the same issue with MKII. I was excited to see they made a higher quality version. I dont think those issues are particularly widespead though, hopefully anyway - I havent heard any talk of it on the forums or on the Console One Facebook group. Lets just hope you were particularly unluky in that case

I just purchased one myself today.
I can’t wait for the fader mk3.
Coming next week ;)
@@mixbustv nice‼️👍🏿👍🏿💯

I can be better but I have no complaints. Only Avid controllers have 100% compatibility with PT by design. But C1 is just amazing
Is there any reason you never picked up the console 1 fader? Will you be considering the fader MKIII?
I have a weird relationship with faders, I either have 100 or I have better workflow with one which at that point is only for automation. Plus, I got no more space on my desk
How does SideChain work for the FF Pro C-2?
Nice video , Do I add the console 1 on pre or post insert in cubase for mixing ?
C1 IS an insert
What was that second track? It sounds amazing. The delays and reverb are so intricate.

Does it work with native plugins and DSP UAD or just native?
That's a good question. I'm not 100% sure but it should work with DSP as well as C1 uses the VST file to "hook" the UAD plugins
Thank you
Works with both

Holy mother of updates!!! ❤
Hi, do you know if pro q 3 dynamic eq can be controlled?
Not that I've seen but maybe
To the owners of the device, what extension and channel strip do you recommend?
I'm not sure what an "extension" would be, as for the channel strip, it depends for what

Is the Weiss deessers in the list?
Yes of course
Got mines yesterday. Really impressive . My mk2 is on the way to new owner soon 😂
Can you bypass the pre's?
Yes of course
What's the song that you play in the preamp section, the rough mix ?
An old test mix, I don't remember
Is this available for C1 MkII also?
Yes
@@mixbustv Thanks David!
3rd party plugins? 🤔
Fantastic!
what’s the song?
Which one? The first is an old test mix, the other is my gf latest single:

@@mixbustvfirst one thanks!
The limited buttons on that just makes it impractical to use all the plugins that you would possibly use
Right. The unit is one thing with the plugins, that's literally what was built for.
Console 1 on PT made you cry….😂 when you drive on console 1, the volume can’t turn down on PT.. isn’t?
What??
Can you send me a song to master for you..
You're asking a mastering engineer to send you a song to master? 😄 makes sense

Guess I got lucky…
@Clarity-808 you didn't, the units are built like tanks and there's literally no trace of people having issues.
