It is funny that as maligned as Last Action Hero was at the time, Arnold’s look in this movie would seem to be the inspiration for Duke Nukem. In fact Duke Nukem looks even more like him in 3D than he does in Duke Nukem 2 which came out the same year as this movie. When that fourth Matrix movie came out a few years ago, and I was watching, I couldn’t help but think of Last Action Hero. That movie feels like it wants to be The Matrix version of Last Action Hero...and it would’ve been better if it was more like Last Action Hero and had characters coming out of, and jumping into movies instead of trying to say The Matrix was a video. It even kind of feels like there was a draft of it where it was movies, because that bit on the train feels like they were meant to have jumped into Train to Busan.
I missed you two! Welcome back!
Glad to see ya back, gentlemen! LAH is a classic!!
PS Tom, I got my copy of WITCHMAN and it is FANTASTIC!! ❤
Arnold in Hamlet. Hmmm, I would cast him as Polonius:)
One of my favorite Arnold movies! I love the world of Jack Slater
Kind of wish they'd just made the Jack Slade movies instead. Still fun though! Glad you're back. Hope you're doing ok!

“He’s got a powerful skullet”
Arnold was depressed after the failure of this movie. To bounce back he and James Cameron made True Lies.
