By changing where the emphasis lies in the phrase, it gives a different connotation to the title as a whole. James and his friends got this, there just wasn't a good way of expressing the dichotomy in the video without going well off topic, especially since the parody nature of the subject matter means that the distinction is, in the end, irrelevant and in no way affects one's interpretation of the film itself.
When I think about it, Man Arnold has had some great movies, didnt he? My favorite has to be Predator, but i love Last action hero, Total recall is amazing, Terminator of course.
I love how James was proudly showing his daughters lucky find of four-leaf clovers. That was so wholesome. I guess she's lucky to have an awesome dad :)
In the movie, the part where it says " a franco columbu film"...Franco was Arnolds bff when both were training for Mr. Olympia bodybuilding comp. If I recall they also ended up competing against each other at one point.
This isn't just one of Arnold's BEST performances and roles it's one of the best films ever made. I'd say True Lies as well as this are two of his best films as well as two of the best out of all films.

James and his friends got this, there just wasn't a good way of expressing the dichotomy in the video without going well off topic, especially since the parody nature of the subject matter means that the distinction is, in the end, irrelevant and in no way affects one's interpretation of the film itself.
Hugely underrated film! I can only imagine critics were so harsh on it because it had the unenviable task of being Arnolds follow-up to T2.
Soundtrack was killer, had the ost CD when I was a kid, cypresshill , megadeth etc. Great movie!!
"You wanna be a farmer? Here's a couple of ACHErs!"
"Another click of my fingers, and a few hours from now you will emerge from several canine recta."
Yes, that's a great moment!
Holy shit. I never fully got this joke until I read it.
Best line in the movie 😂
Review request: The ‘Burbs. 1989, Tom Hanks. Well-written comedy, star-studded cast, horror cliches galore! Mixed reviews.
Oliver Harper does a great review and podcast.
I second that, fantastic 80s movie
If memory serves, Arnold hand picked the music for this movie.
As executive producer, I'm glad he used his powers for good.
@@poposterous236 LOL! I agree!
I really want to see an alternative version of The Terminator starring Stallone.
The Rock is not even in my top ten action stars
Not even top 20 for me. Haha
He's more like a comedian rather than an action star, hahahaha
IIRC Stallone was given the cardboard cutout and still has it.
@@VixXstazosJOB IIRC = If I Remember/Recall Correctly
In Twins there's the scene where he sees a Rambo poster, flexes feels his on arm and the scoffs at the poster.
Kevin Graves you beat me to that one.
You best me to
Kevin Graves I just commented on and scrolled down and that you already schooled them
That 4 leaf clover part at the beginning was so cute. Proud dad moment
It’s that marvel that happens when your kids start becoming little humans with their own thoughts and agency
James talking about his daughter is so wholesome. I love it.
Love the Hamlet part :D "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark - and Hamlet is taking out the trash!"! Would watch!
stay thy hand fare prince ...
WHO SAID I WAS FARE
To be or not to be... Not to be.
"What do you think of anyone who doesn't see this movie?"
"Big mistake"
Well, they were right.
This is one of my Top 5 Schwarzenegger films!
Its unerrated thats for sure.
It’s my second favorite after Eraser.
@@cjmoore9966 Eraser is awesome!
Probably one of my favorite Arnold Films outside of Running Man.
Have you guys done a Dystopian Type Films debate or Post-Apocalyptic debate yet?
When I think about it, Man Arnold has had some great movies, didnt he? My favorite has to be Predator, but i love Last action hero, Total recall is amazing, Terminator of course.
I honestly believe Arnold is the biggest movie star of all time.
@@ClellBiggs He is anomaly, because honestly he is terrible actor, but at the same time some entertaining, I have no clue how he does it, but he does.
I love how James was proudly showing his daughters lucky find of four-leaf clovers. That was so wholesome. I guess she's lucky to have an awesome dad :)
Are we just going to gloss over the fact that Japanese SUPIDAH MAN is playing in the background there?
So glad you guys reviewed this, Last Action Hero has always been one of my favorites. Great video!!
So many badass actors in this: Charles Dance, Ian MacKellen.
Anthony Quinn, Art Carney, Robert Prosky...
I love this movie, I don't care what anybody says.
I didn't love it but art is subjective. Don't let bad peeps put you down! :D
Thanks for CALLING ME OUT.
In the movie, the part where it says " a franco columbu film"...Franco was Arnolds bff when both were training for Mr. Olympia bodybuilding comp. If I recall they also ended up competing against each other at one point.
There's actually a poster of Stallone in Twins. Arnold sees Stallone's muscles and laughs.
5 four leaf clovers? She is really lucky to find them. 😊
Chernobyl.
She's prepared for when the leprechaun comes
Or she's used up her lifetime supply of the luck... :(
Are you kidding all those clovers will bring her tons of luck
@@measured.kadence Right! 😊
You guys should tackle Clue (1985).
AGREE
I watched that yesterday. I still drool over Leslie Ann Warren & Colleen Camps racks 😍
This isn't just one of Arnold's BEST performances and roles it's one of the best films ever made. I'd say True Lies as well as this are two of his best films as well as two of the best out of all films.
Dude as a dad, I can totally relate with how how fucking genuinely excited you were with your daughters four leaf clover story. I felt the energy man. Good for you!
Stallone is also in Twins. Arnold shrugs at the Rambo poster.
Yes! Feels his biceps and chuckles as he walks off lol
Its fun, I don't get the hate. So many great moments.
Agreed. I don't think it's great or anything, but it's definitely fun.
to be honest, i haven't stopped to watch it yet, but it does look fun from all i've seen, if only a "turn-off-the-brain" kind of fun, but still fun.
Absolutely love this movie and think it's extremely underrated. Arnold parodying himself in the most serious way, as an action hero! It's brilliant.
Last Action Hero is a masterpiece, John McTiernan is the undisputed master of action movies.
Really digging how you guys brought up the awesome soundtrack to this underrated flick because it reminds me of other flicks that didn't do so well at the box office that had killer soundtracks that deserve mentioning. Those soundtracks include Judgement Night, Street Fighter and Scott Pilgrim vs The World. If you haven't gave those a listen definitely do so when the time finds you. Peace!
Can't believe how badly this movie was rated. One of my favorites.
Twas released against S. Spielberg (R.I.P) never had a chance
AVGN should invite Arnold for a gaming session... That would probably be the greatest episode ever!
Yeah it would.
The theatrical version of T2 is actually about the same running time as Last Action Hero. It's the Extended/Special/Whatever Edition on home release that was over 2 1/2 hours.
And honestly watching the extra scenes you can see why they were cut, they were overall a little wonky.
Stallone and Schwazeneger = Mario and Sonic is THE PERFECT comparison! Give him a trophy!
SEGA is in Nintendo games and the relation is so similar that I love this comparison!
@@punkpinagreed
Last Action Hero is totally an underrated classic. Love this movie
Megadeth - Angry Again, what a great soundtrack in that movie.
One of the rare movies I saw in theaters as a kid, have to say I loved it then and still love it now! Classic Arnold 👏🤘
I love this particular intro. The theme song one is ok but the classic commercial one is way better.
I can't decide which one I like better
@@CarInMyAss the family matters intro is def funny but I just prefer the commercial one. it reminds me of an old video store I had in my town growing up.
The best part for me, its when Danny its hanging by his feet, and Jack its showing emotion, while reaching to save Danny.
I collect 4 leaf clovers. I have thousands of them. 4, 5, even 6 leaf clovers. It's a fun hobby that you two should do together.
I would guess that's a hobby that gets easier as you go on. The more you have, the better your luck, so the more you'll find!
