Jenkins livermish doesn't even deserve to be in the same category as Hunter's.
Hunters is the closest thing to homemade you will get.
My husband and I loved livermush when we visited his sister in NC. His sister and kids had never hear of it (though they are natives). It was delicious.

@@southernstalwart They live in Salisbury and Lexington, we had it in Richfield, not too sure where the cutoff for West NC is.

Fried livermush + tomato (maters) on light bread makes a really good sandwich - I remember my grandmother making livermush at home with a pigs head on the kitchen table

Love me some Hunters livermush! That’s the only kind I eat though.
I cook mine in the oven and it comes out crispy.

Hunters is the best! I know a lot of people do cook it in the oven but I’ve just been used to frying it.
Also, I know a lot of people do eat Dukes on it however, I actually prefer mustard instead lol

Not a fan when I tried it years ago, but after Zoe describing it as tasting like Thanksgiving stuffing I may have to give it another go. My facial expression after eating it the first time was similar to Fredrick’s 😂

Lol! I thought it was a normal food as well growing up. There was a livermush festival in Marion also… I grew up in Morganton. And yeah I skipped out on the mayo 🙃
