I think you could do a “trick question” where you pick a food from a NA/FN tribe. That way it seems “foreign” in that it isn’t familiar to the average American, but the dish would still be from America.
You could make Diné tepary beans or Anishinaabe manoomin (wild rice) or Three Sisters. I’m Apsáalooke and our local foods are probably frybread (which almost every tribe has some variation of) or Baalappia- delicious berry goo that’s kinda like pudding.
That would be really interesting! The funeral dishes episode had something similar, where one of the choices was an Amish dessert
They did something similar for the ice cream one as they did Alaskan ice cream from the Inuits.
They did it with Ice Cream round. But you are right they could be doing it more often.

As soon as I saw the pickle rollups, I thought - Ah yes, some drunken midwest sushi at it's finest.
I love this idea because I craved both sushi and pickle roll ups so much when I was pregnant, and could only have one lol
We do it here on VT to!!! My step mom used to make these for cookouts all the time 😂😂 they are pretty damn delicious though!!
Knew instantly when I saw it. We call them ham roll-ups here in Indiana. Always have huge plate of them as finger food at every family gathering. So tasty!

Austrian here, that looks like the strangest Kaiserschmarrn ever. ^^ But it seemed to be tasty enough. ;-) I also have never seen it made with Strawberry's, usually its Zwetschkenröster (Plum Based... roast... its weird to translate :D ), or most of the times actually a thick Applesauce. But I am very happy that you liked it, and our National Dish even got the famous old man grunt from Rhett.

As someone from austria I've never had it with strawberry anything, it's usually eaten with plum compote or apple sauce (my favourite) BUT I have to say it looked pretty good, better than the one I've seen from some "chefs" here

You should do International Flat Bread Wrapped Food Taste Test, just because Rhett seems to think that tortilla is the only one tipe of flat bread and every wrapped dish is South American.

I’m sure Rhett knows that flat breads are from other places, it’s just when they do it blindfolded it can be confusing. When you’re tasting a food as a whole, the bread part is kinda covered up by the filling so it all just tastes like dough
