I was just looking for a video like this and you put one out. Great short review. I would add one thing with the Dualshock 4 (it's the only one I own, so I can't comment on the others), it only supports being paired to one device at time. So, if you use it with more than one device, say PC and iPad, or PS4 and iPad, etc, you'll have to pair it again, every time you change device. Otherwise it's a great controller.
I've tried a few controllers with my M1 iPad Pro. I totally agree with everything you say about the Nimbus+ controller. I quite like the 8bitdo Pro 2 controller which has grips, includes rumble support, has two additional buttons on the underside, and has fully configurable profiles via an iOS app. But my all-time favorite is the Xbox Elite Series 2 wireless controller. I have noticed the same thing, and it affects audio for the AirPods too. I generally plug my controller into the side if I want to use my headphones, but once the battery starts to go then you have to unplug for recharging. If you have the Magic Keyboard, then you can charge and connect the controller physically at the same time, but not everyone has a $300 accessory (which I only have because I got mine at a discount, pre-owned) to make such a thing possible.

First Nimbus I bought developed severe joy-con drift in the left stick and some in the right. Went through the support process and got a new one for free. Now the second one is starting to develop drift in the right stick. I'll have to see if I can get a Bluetooth Xbox controller now and use the Nimbus as a backup.
My nimbus also has severe drift in the left controller. Cleaned it with a bit of rubbing alcohol and let it dry for a day. Plus rebooted my iPad and it fixed the problem. However, the nimbus does disconnect itself from the iPad quite a bit. Usually right before I finish beating a boss or hypostasis in Genshin. 😑
I see some people mentioning 8bitDo’s Pro 2 controller and I’m gonna jump in and bring my own love for this controller. It’s a nearly perfect package, using Apple mode on the controller will make your iPad see it as a DualShock 4 while paired via Bluetooth and as an Xbox controller when plugged directly into the device. If a game needs the touchpad on DualShock 4 or the change view button on Xbox controller, unfortunately it will not work. Button remapping in Apple mode is not supported, so you cannot assign the star/heart buttons to those buttons. These issues may not matter soon though as iPadOS 16 will bring Switch controller support, which the Pro 2 does very well and also has button remapping available for. Despite all of that, it’s still my favorite controller simply because it’s the only controller I need for my PC, Switch, and iPad. It is also incredibly comfortable to hold, and has excellent battery life. It can also charge from your iPad if it gets low with little cost to your device’s battery life. Directing my comment to you now Byte Review and not the people reading the comments, I was really happy to see that you gave a good shout out to the 8bitDo Lite and the SN30 Pro, but if I may be honest it was kind of obvious they were just the controllers you already owned and not yet upgraded yet (which is fine, they’re still good!) As for the 8bitDo Lite, there’s an upcoming Lite 2 which has thumbsticks and improved shoulder buttons in the same form factor, which I think looks very visually attractive like a Switch Lite without a screen. There is also an upcoming new “Lite SE” that does away with shoulder buttons and clickable sticks, replacing them with dedicated face buttons instead, that was designed for improved accessibility with gamers who have limited mobility in mind. Honestly…8bitDo just kinda rocks, they constantly revise and innovate on their previous controllers and I’m always paying attention to what they’re planning to do next.

Sorry for my bad English I am still learning.
Just connect through bluetooth and then in the genshin settings select controller! Should be easy
@@ByteReview Oh I see! I'll try 💪🏻

Please someone answer me...Can I play with a controller Genshin on Ipad without having a ps? Because I know I could do it with COD mobile, but can I do it with other games? If yes, can you tell me what games?
the 8bitdo lite doesnt seem to be listed as compatible with ios. did you need to do anything out of the ordinary to make it work for ipad and, if so, does the controller lose out on any functionality?
This is what I've been trying to figure out...
Does the Xbox controller work on a iPads mini? And if so how do you pair it?😭
I recommend the Gulikit King Kong Pro 2. Controller that will not have drifting issue and compatible with the Switch.
That video helped me a lot. When I saw 8bitdo lite I knew it was for me but I needed joysticks so I bought lite 2. Thanks
glad it was helpful!
Hi, due to health I wasn't able to celebrate Christmas with my son this year and we are celebrating this January. I'm looking into getting him a tablet so he can play Minecraft and I really want to get him a controller so he can get the best gameplay experience. I'm really interested in the 2nd controller you reviewed, but I'm planning on buying an ANDROID tablet. Do you know if it would be compatible? Or does it have to be an ipad? Hopefully you'll see this and I'll get an idea what I should buy before I order it 🤞
You should do a 'Xbox Elite 2 vs Playstation Edge' video

does the series s/x controller and dualsense works with ios/ipad os 15 and above?
Hi, do you know if I can use the 8bitdo wired version with an iPad if I have a lightning port adapter?
i have ethe 8bitdo lite 2, and its the worst. it does not maintain a charge whatsoever, so every single time i go to use it, it's dead. and worse, the shoulder buttons don't maintain input when held. this is especially problematic in games like minecraft, where its impossible to mine or cut down a tree.
i also have the 8bitdo sn30 pro and its pretty good.
since apple will be forced to allow side-loading soon (at least in the EU) i'm excited for emalation gaming!
Do a controller that can Gyro for PUBG or CODM players please
