New FreeCAD version does not create a gap between the edges on the first fold. it adds extra material so the vertical height edges touch.

Why do you start sketching to positive x and y, instead of centering simetrically to the origin?

Yes I always think this too, its a good habbit to make your part symmertrical with the origin.

All the so called tutorials operators, fly the cursor around as fast as they can because their not sure what to do next. It's very frustrating for a beginner to follow.
