Nice tutorial, thank you!
Just two notes to reduce the number of mouse clicks:
On the first step to draw a symmetric rectangle to the center of the sketch you could have clicked the small arrow next to the Create a Rectangle tool and used Centered Rectangle.
Later on, creating the Slot, the construction line should have been positioned symmetrically not by determining a value but using the Symmetry tool referring the points of the Auxiliar Geometry, This way the Slot length would change accordingly to the length of the tab.

The two end flanges should be 30mm not 50mm.
