It goes to show that most people only listen to what's rammed down their throat. If this was a Robbie Williams song it would be fucking massive. Filter write awesome songs and no one knows!
I remember picking this album at Target. A few years later my daughter was born. This song always brought my little rockstar to mind. Thank you for always being in my corner when i need you. Time flies friend. Take lots of Polaroid pictures
Beautiful song and equally beautiful video. Filter step outside the box often; this is why I keep coming back to them. Huge respect for Richard Patrick. Saw Filter live in Sydney just a few nights ago (Feb 2014) and they played this song. Fabulous!
Another excellent album from Richard P. aka Filter... It's just amazing his band isn't more popular because he's an outstanding song writer/performer/producer. Thank you Richard Patrick for continuing to make music...I never get tired of it....
The tried and true "chan-chan-chan-chan" acoustic motive for most of Filter's mellow songs, but damn they're all so great and well produced! Keep doing more like these!
I remember listening to this song a few years back. The first time was when I left the Army and the song came on once I saw the Ft. Benning sign past me. I listened to it again when I went into Boston after coming back from a recruiter’s office in Springfield to try to get back in but then realized what I was doing. I love the army but it isn’t for me. And then once when I worked at a job that at the time I loved and had a lot of good memories from.
Music today just doesn’t surprise me in anyway! Unlike this! I have listened to Filter for years, but this song I did not know! So I was surprised! Just perfect!
Always been an underrated group...ive liked these guys for over 15 years. I would love to go back to the late 90's when I was just discovering groups like Filter, Opeth, Katatonia, Porcupine Tree, etc.
This is something special. This isn't just a great song or a cool track. This is masterpiece in just over 4 minutes. The song and the video are an absolute work of art and, to be honest, I think it just might be the best Filter song (although there's a lot of contemplation that goes with that). I don't know how you guys managed to come back with such conviction, but I'm so glad you did. I needed this music in my life.
This whole album got me through a really, really bad period of depression. I literally listened to this song and Burn It for 3 months straight. If there is another single, I would kill for it to be Burn It.
One of the best bands. I've been listening to then since the 90's. I've played Title of the Record end-to-end more than any other album. He kind of looks like an angry Conan O'Brien! Sick Puppies is also pretty under rated.
Filter overall and especially this song here have once again proven that you can search for good music for a really endless time and even find it. Although I actually find it really hard that I found Filter rather by chance. I've seen the name so many times on festival shirts but never had the idea that this is such good music.
Great band, wonderful song. I remember seeing them with the original line-up way back in the early nineties. They were really heavy. Young men full of life with powerful tube amps cranked. There's nothing like that sound. Cheers !
First comment, first one in, and last one to leave. Can't stop clicking replay! By far, this song and video are the best surprises of the night. Keep making music Filter.
WOW. Filters been a long time favorite for me.....I cant believe I didnt know they had new music! What a great song. Video doesnt quite match the words though....
I like the wide shots of all the natural landscapes, and the bird and coyote (?) are beautiful. The song itself...it's a bit different than some of their other music, but I still like it.
love filter, this band may be the most underrated ever. Patrick has a great voice and is powerful
theyre great shame not live though ....
Filter is awesome and they are good live too
Indeed, his voice and their sound are very atmospheric!
And... He's a cool dude !!!
@@robertluck1325 You've clearly never met him
I love a band that can put out hard shit and soft shit. Always been a fan of Filter's angst and their lighter songs.
Filter Rules. Taking me to another place and time.
i love filter even their songs that are more on the soft side great band richard patrick is an awesome guy
God what a beautiful song and video. I missed this one 10 yrs. ago. ❤ Glad I found it
3:10 - 3:25 anyone else gets goose bumps???? UNBELIEVABLE! it's so beautiful
Arturo Bonetti heaven...sounds like heaven to me
Every time 💜
Absolutely!
😭😭😭👍🏼👍🏼

Robbie Williams sucks the big one.
And the masses of idiots cant get enough of him.
Welcome to the Fold .
Straight up!
STILL LOVE IT. 8yrs later🤘
Обожаю
10 years bro.
Ten years.
Unbelievable song. It's so refreshing when bands continue to mature and grow no different than their fan base. Love this song.
This song is so good it hurts
5 words: This song is beautiful!
bro that's only 4 🤣 but im with you!
@@TheRealMrWilson 😆Haha… I never learned to count.

THE BEST BAND IN THE FREAKING WORLD MAN!!
Beautiful song and equally beautiful video. Filter step outside the box often; this is why I keep coming back to them. Huge respect for Richard Patrick. Saw Filter live in Sydney just a few nights ago (Feb 2014) and they played this song. Fabulous!

Perfect love song
So different from a typical Filter song. I love this.
Remember buying short bus! Been a fan ever since! ❤️
The tried and true "chan-chan-chan-chan" acoustic motive for most of Filter's mellow songs, but damn they're all so great and well produced! Keep doing more like these!
I'm not the biggest fan of poppy Filter; there are very few songs in this style that I enjoy. That being said, this song is a masterpiece.
@Simulation algorithm the shouty stuff gets a bit boring after awhile.
Poppy Filter is the best
I miss my little man. Child support is unleveled. Soon to change.
Filter is always my go to after an epileptic seizure. Brings back good memories and feelings.
Sloane Patrick is great, beautiful just like her father. In this viddy she rocks and makes me breathless.
I've loved this song for so long without knowing Filter sang it

I remember all their songs
Always been an underrated group...ive liked these guys for over 15 years. I would love to go back to the late 90's when I was just discovering groups like Filter, Opeth, Katatonia, Porcupine Tree, etc.
A beautiful song, love how some filter songs will make you want to drive 100 mph and others will bring tears to your eyes
I wonder if Richard Patrick reads these comments?
It’s been a year.......I’m guessing no.
Most likely! Even musicians get bored sometimes... wouldn’t you read comments on your videos?

Gage Beck agree 💯... Beautiful song and video ...
Gives me chills
Hilarious Comic im with you on that...this song is my life in a nutshell..... love love love
Agreed - this is a symphony, lyrically, musically and visually.
Nah. Cancer is still their best to me.
They are simply superb.
멋있는 영화배우처럼 보이네요^^♡
I absolutely love this song.
Oh God, this song breaks me wide open thinking of my late wife. 😢
This song has such a great ambiance. Very different from the typical Filter sound, the album this is on is very good
Beautiful music from a much deserving band. It's a bit softer than some of their other tracks, but really rounds out the album.
Listening to filter, I get an air purification commercial🤣
I love Filter.
Amazing Gus Black!!
Filter is a fantastic band!!
I love this song. Heard it while I was typing and this song came on the rock music channel on TV and just fell in love with it.
Been a fan since the 90's love this band.
This song makes my heart sing!
Filter, gran banda para mi desde 1999 que escuché su buena música. Gracias Filter...
This is one of the better songs to have come out from the past few years.
Long Live Filter :)
This whole album got me through a really, really bad period of depression. I literally listened to this song and Burn It for 3 months straight. If there is another single, I would kill for it to be Burn It.
Filter has been getting me through the rough and bad times for over 10 years. Their songs always lift my spirits.
Beautiful song. Glad he got cleaned up.

Sounds like something off Title of Record. Video is just as amazing as the song itself.
Chose your child always.

This is probably their most polished up song but still good just use to the grind of filter
Fucking Masterpiece - love this band sooo much amazing guitars always love them !

First time I have heard this song, I bloody love it!!
This is nothing like "Where Do We Go From Here" and "Columind". Still glad to see Filter back though.
Surprise Is A Great Beautiful Rock Ballad By FILTER.
Awesome... Been a Filter fan since the late 90's... I even liked Army of Anyone... Patrick always does great things.
Army of Anyone was awesome!
Timeless, could have made been 30 years ago or yesterday, it’s a feel good introspective. Bravo
