    I can see the difference from watching other youtubers videos of them being off road and it does look rough and they say its rough but this bigger tire setup looks the way to go.

      It really depends on your usage. Some parts need to be changed from time to time (bearings) but unless you smash it with big jumps and the likes. It's quite durable.

  • @broapmotortrialteam2828
    @broapmotortrialteam2828 ปีที่แล้ว

    De beaux franchissements ! Venant du trial (300 gasgas) Je kifferais rouler sans bruit/odeur et faire de la randonnée trialisante avec un surron. L'electric motion est top pour ça mais l'autonomie est ridicule. De plus une batterie supp coute 3k.......... chez surron tu peux avoir une batterie plus puissante que l'electric motion dans les 2k d'après ce que j'ai vu... Il est possible d'installer un embrayage électronique sur le surron ? Et niveau fiabilité, la surron supporte ce genre de traitement lol (trialisant/hard enduro) ?

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  ปีที่แล้ว

      L’avantage de la Surron c’est que presque tout est possible. Je pensais pas trop mal l’autonomie de la EM. Il faut vraiment que j’en teste une !
      Pour l’embrayage oui c’est programmable sur certains contrôleurs mais l’intérêt est limite. La EM a un embrayage avec une vraie fleewheel donc tu peux faire prendre de la vitesse au moteur en débrayant et tout lâché d’un coup. La comme la transmission est directe au final ça revient un peu au même que de couper les gaz…
      Avec un bon entretient c’est fiable. On maltraite les nôtres depuis 2 ans et RAS à ce jour :)

  • @thegrave2000

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Whaaaat? Not sure what you're meaning here, but 21 is way more stable than 19. Not as playful for sure, but regarding stability it's night and day.

    I would be very worried about riding through Trails where there's trees on each side just for the fact there are some really sick people out there that will tie up a cable and there goes your head. Don't believe me well it happened here in Wisconsin with a snowmobiler the owner of a property got sick and tired of the snowmobiles going through his land not that he can grow crops when there's 6 in of snow on it so he put up a wire and it cut the head off of somebody true story.

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do believe you man, that happened about everywhere throughout Europe. In this area were we rode in the video, that never happened to my knowledge though. On top of that, this area is used by hikers, mtbikers, horse-riders and dirt bikers, so a lot of people come through which makes it really hard for such a trap to go unnoticed… But sure, there's always a small risk though ☹

    Did you put a riser linkage to correct geometry? If so, did you put the 1.5” one?

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I didn't use a riser. The 18" wheel is slightly taller than the original 19" with the tyre, so given the fact that the 21" actually rises the bike by 1" only, you barely notice.
      Theoretically, I'd be more planted going down while having a tendency to wheelie in the uphills.

    thanks for sharing. A bunch of questions.
    What pressure were you running your tires? On the front end, does it still feel bone jarring or does it feel like a real MX bike (floats over stuff)...it still looked like it felt rough. I'm running a Fox40 with upgraded springs and a 26" MTB wheel (21" moto equivalent) and it's rough as hell going over rocky terrain. Takes the fun out of it...
    Also, notice a big difference running the Rock Shox R2C vs. stock shock?
    What avg. range are getting with the wheels and this battery setup?

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man.
      No it clearly floats over things. The terrain is so rough is some places though that it's not a hovercraft either. When riding with friends on actual dirt bikes, I've noticed they're quite shaken too.
      26" MTB isn't really comparable apart from the size. The tyre is way tighter, thus you need more pressure and it won't absorb impacts as efficiently as a moto tyre.
      Regarding the sock, it's a bit better than stock, but the difference isn't night and day like the one you feel replacing the fork by a high end one.
      The range didn't change much surprisingly with the power I run it at. I guess range depends more on the type of terrain than on the wheels. I guess that I wouldn't get as much range on slower trails as there's a lot of acceleration/deceleration. But on a rather high speed ride, I couldn't see any difference.

      @bikeninja956 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MTO_Brothers ok, thanks for that info, it all makes sense, helps a lot. Yeah, I run low pressure (16-18 PSI) in the 2.8" MTB tire but even then it's not enough, plus it get's a little sloshy when turning with that low of pressure. I think the moto wheel setup is the way to go for sure, not perfect but probably much better.

    I have 2 19” wheels and ride a tone of trails, kind of want to try out this 21/18 set up now, how does it effect your top speed?

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Alec!
      It has absolutely no effect on the top speed as the 18" mounted with the tyre is of the same diameter than the 19" one.
      You might want to mount a slightly bigger sprocket to increase the torque depending on your setup though. After that, sky's the limit!

    well all dirt bikes have had 21 inch front 18-in rear tires for years that's all I'm used to riding so it's got to be the best setup but the electrics are on is really light it must just feel better like a regular dirt bike with those rim size tire size

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      MX bikes still run 19" on the rear. Only enduro use 18".
      You gain in confort and traction whit the bigger wheels, but the smaller ones give you an incredible agility. There's no better really, it all depends on the terrain!
      Bike park-like singletracks, I'd go 19" all the way. Gnarly sandy, rocky enduro trails with loads of roots, 21/18 without an hesitation 👌

    So your running the nuc24 and 72v in this video? Would you do 16/19 or 18/21 as a first mod before a power upgrade ?

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Without power upgrade, I'd go for a 21" and stay 19" on the rear if anything. The big rear tyre sucks power whereas the bigger front improves obstacles clearing which a negligible power impact.

    • @Just3adventures
      @Just3adventures 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MTO_Brothers I was leaning 18/22 to make the bike bigger. That said tires are more then double the price for 18/21 vs 16/19. I would eventually do power as well just making the bike bigger I feel is a first?

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Just3adventures It really depends what you're looking for. To make the bike bigger for taller riders, 21" front is a must. 16 or 18 rear don't really rise it. They mainly add grip (and therefore swallow power) and offer more cushion on rocky terrains.
