- Can the electric motorcycle, the Sur Ron X send Enduro style riding? Honestly I think this is where this e bike excels! The bike is lightweight and easy to manage around obstacles in the woods. It also has a ton of torque and soft suspension. This is actually a Segway X 160 that I am modifying to be spec for spec the same as a luna cycle Surron X. At this point the only difference between my bike and a stock Surron X are the forks and possibly the motor. Let's see if this electric dirt bike can ride enduro!

What’s up Edwin! Really enjoying your videos. I have a Sur Ron and Live over in Bayview. It overheated pretty bad the last time I took it out. Now it’s way down on power. I’m trying to troubleshoot it with Luna right now. That ride looked a little brutal😂✌️🇺🇸
I just bought one, when they overheat does the motor shut down on you for a little bit automatically? Or can you just melt the thing? LOL

Good lock burning out a sur ron motor I have seen other channels use the stock motor on a 72v bac 4000 and 8000 and it takes it

How many minutes of riding can you get on a full charge riding like that?
Interesting build I have up graded my Sur-Ron and have all the old parts to make it happen. 19"Wheels, X-controller, stock 60volt battery. I know all the Sur-Ron's, Segway's are getting harder to find though.
That is why I did it!
For what it's worth...I found a good dual suspension frame,forks,etc. Bbshd,3spd igh,44t chainring, stock controller but programmed, 52v ...its shocking. Took awhile to get my setup right but damn. FYI no pedals. Give it a try.
For Enduro I go 30t chainring. When I ride with my boys I don't pass em, but I don't lose em!

Hm. I thought you upgraded to 72v pack and aftermarket controller from Bac? Why downgrading back to stock?
I think u just get whats available cause these sell fast. I'm upgrading my x160 and parts are not that easy to get right now

Compared to Ohio you guys have some really beautiful areas to ride. I’m tired of flat, vegetated, over grown, mosquito infest woods and muddy creeks.
I just fell the tyres are just to Skinny on these my mate has tried many different tires and is finding it very hard to find a wide enough tired to grip to try and handle keep up with the motorbikes his tires get stuck in small ruts motorbikes just managed to get through
I would have been interested in a 19-17” setup. (Regular enduros are 21-19” anyway) that would give you extra gearing and the front might just be enough to get over stuff…
Too bad there aren’t a ton of these in Europe :/

I’m 6’ 2” and I was wondering what hight of rider the sur ron or the Segway fits?
6'2" 225#. There's lots of parts to make it more comfortable for taller riders. Kinda depends on what kind of riding also. I couldn't sit and ride this around on the street. Not comfortable for me. I ride trail and almost always standing and its perfect for that.

I’m a little over 6’2” and with a few upgrades it’s great and fits fine
Boxxbike Valkyrie is perfect for Enduro, 240 Nm torque, 14 Kw, and 37kg weight. Too bad the price is ridiculous

@@EdwinOlding and you have to have the X controller for that, right? I just want a longer lasting battery for the x160. I am fine with the power it makes, though.
The motor is the x160 is inferior for sure. But it can handle up to 8k. There are full motor breakdown and tear apart vids out there if anyone is wondering where I get the info.
You can buy the sur ron motor from luna for around $650 but it's not always in stock.
Hard enduro riders are impressive and have tons of skill but i just don't see the fun of it. Trails with some obstacles are fun but if it's all low speed struggling, count me out.
Next project would be cool to do a electric dirtbike swap into a regular dirtbike frame
It would be hard to make it not heavier and slower than the original bike though
@@jayaneyon9316go check out the YZ85 Sur Ronster built. Slower? Maybe. But fuck it. Way more useful and easier to own and maintain.

@@EdwinOlding Even on private land waterways are still protected in Idaho, bridges, and or crossings are fine but, riding in or up stream is illegal. Just saying to check your facts as its a hefty fine if the wrong person finds this video.
