    1. Jump 3-4 cm from the ground, not higher unless trick ;
    2.bend knees slightly ; jump in the same place ;
    3.jump on your toes (to absorb impact); 4.keep hands facing down parallel to the ground ;
    5. Use wrists
    6.good posture, specifically shoulder blades back
    7. Rest ie. Listen to your body

    This video had me adjusting rope size, concentrate on posture and working wrists not arms.
    394 jumps and felt actually amazing!! Calves are so tight so I’ll take the rest day advise too.

      @@lavander9954 such a quick result is not something you should look towards: when it happens, it's mostly water weight, it then slows down considerably and can make you stop working out, leading back to the starting point if not worse.
      Take things slow, make exercise a part of your life, and of you want to lose weight start by correcting your diet, weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise (still do it tho, it has a ton of other benefits!).

    Edit: little bit later I'm now doing 41 skips, side swipe and so close to double unders, the following couple days will be a rest and more practice, hopefully I'll get the moves down

    Tried it out for the FIRST TIME today, for 13 minutes in the driveway. Thank you, Dudes, for the beginner tips. I didn't do any double-jumps, tried to keep my elbows close in and to flick the rope around with my wrists. I had one sequence of 9 jumps. That was an outlier. Couple other times I made 3 jumps before failing. But 95 percent of the time, one of these things happened: (1) one or both of my feet landed ON the rope, stopping everything; (2) one foot cleared the rope but the other didn't, so the rope hit the front of that ankle; (3) I cleared the rope with both feet once but then with the rope behind me, it didn't go up, or out, far enough from my back and hit the back of my head and landed on top of an ear. I am not planning to quit but I must say that it wasn't encouraging out there today.

    Hello, I am a 56 year old man. I was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2017 and am told that exercise is key to diminishing the effects of that disease. Luckily I had lost about 70 lbs previous to that diagnosis and had become a bit of a gym rat. In the gym I would often warm up with one of those cheap plastic jump ropes. Now because I can't go to the gym I concentrated a bit more on my rope jumping at home.
    I am up to about 45 minutes a day of just the basic jumping rope. I still trip quite a bit and if I can do 40 jumps in a row without tripping that's a good day. I am starting to exceed that and still need quite a few rests. I figure when I build up more stamina I will try some tricks.
    I would like to get a new rope and should probably get a mat as I jump at the park on the pavement. Do you think the 1/2 pound rope would be the way to go?

    Hi guys, great videos! Really motivating. Im getting my regular bounce/form in now(still tripping a bit but im getting there). Im concentrating a lot on my form, but im wondering a bit, should i concentrate on my wrist spinning or on my wrists spinning with my forearm to create The rythm? I feel Like When i focus to much on spinning my wrists rope loses tightness and goes out of rythm. :) also, i seem to feel my forearms working quite a lot (gets abit sore after some jumping intervals) i guess that is fine? Im using The 1/2 rope. Great stuff guys, im gonna keep practicing

    I use your 1lb jump rope in 1 minute intervals with a 1 minute rest in between for 5 minutes. If I work up to 20 one minute intervals with a minute of rest in between am I getting the right effect? Or should I be jumping consecutively longer like 3 minuets or 5 minuets or 10 minuets without rest?

    How long should my rope be...I'm switching back & forth between shorter & longer. Not sure if I'm hindering myself by the rope length or if I just suck at jump roping. 😄

      L.E. DuBois in their first video they showed how to measure the rope for appropriate usage. But they said put the middle of the rope in the middle of your foot, stretch it upward and the end of the rope(not the handles) should be about chest length or right under it. (I’m trying to say this correctly) I’d just watch the 1st video in this series for the explanation.

    Great video guys. I was wondering if you guys still had any 1st gen crossrope handles for sale or the blue 1/2 pound size large 1st gen cable. I remember when you guys were zen dude fitness you had a custom rope made for you, do you have any left in stock? Keep the videos coming👍🏽

      There were 500 JRD handles and they sold out promptly. You can email support@crossrope.com and see if they have any old stock (but I think they are all gone).

    I just started jumping rope one day ago for maybe 15 or 20 minutes
    I couldn't do more than 4 or 5 jumps in a row before the rope hits my feets
    How long will it take to get used to it and jump more?

    Im 65 and mostly do weight training...and just started doing jump rope as my cardio. Right now I'm doing 3 sets of 250skips/hanging leg raises. Im hoping the skipping will get easier and more.

      That's great. It does get easier but don't be hard on yourself if it takes a while. Slow and steady makes for lasting results, keep doing the thing 💪🏻

    I gave birth 3 months ago. I got up to 201 lbs. mind you I’m only 5’2” 😞
    Now I’m 160lbs and stuck. My husband told me that diet alone is hard to lose weight and exercise is important. I never struggled with my weight before. I had a very nice body before getting pregnant. My husband says he likes the chunky me but I don’t like how unfit I became. My husband has an eight pack and 6’2” tall, played basketball in college. He eats all the junk food and sweets, and never gains weight. Kinda hard for me to stick with a clean diet.
    Started yesterday with 13mins of jump rope. That’s all I could do. I looked so red afterwards. My husband said my face looked like a cherry. 😝Planning to take a selfie everyday. For now I look depressing😞
    Thank for the great tips!

      1) awesome nice work on losing that weight and getting after it
      2) this isn't about your husband. it's about you. (remember that).
      3) It's not about what food you eat, it's about HOW MUCH... track your intake and eat the right amount of food. Try out our nutrition program if you want a flexible system where you can reach your potential and enjoy the sweeter things life.
      4) 13 minutes straight?? that's FIRE! take your time. ease in and let your body adjust.. Jump rope is tough.
      5) KEEEEP GOIN!

    This might be a dumb question but is there a certain length rope for how tall someone might be? If so can you tell me? I'm 6'3"

    • @KrishnanunniKarayilUllas
      @KrishnanunniKarayilUllas 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      length is calculated according to the vertical distance between the feet and armpit. - Middle of jump rope to tip of the handle.

    Hey guys,
    I'm a big fan and I drew motivation from your channel to better by physique. 💯
    I'm 5'11" weigh 202lbs. I'm finding it hard to jump over my rope. I know I'm doing something wrong.
    Is it because of my
    1) weight
    2) my ropes too long
    3)I'm slow at my hands
    4) my form?
    5) my ropes light
    Also do you advice I simply jump without the ropes for couple of weeks?
    Because I found jumping over my rope hard. I'm just hoping without them.
