Wow! I’ve been looking for this information for days!!! I’m a trucker so I’m not home often and it’s hard to do research while driving. Thanks for the information 💪💪💪
U do an awesome job...im goin to do a gigantic 1st time build in my 21 hatch and this is the part that terrifies me...too bad u aint on speed dial lol..THANK YOU
That's the best route but the answer is no. This diy harness will allow you to keep your stock deck and use the high level inputs. Check out my other video to see what I did. It'll give you an idea.
I think the sport touring model comes with the premium sound system. If that's the case you could get your signal from your amp instead of the head unit. Not sure where your amp is located. If you wanted to get the source directly from your head unit then yes this may work for you.
Yes I have the premium sound system, the amp is located on the passenger side underneath the glove box. So instead of taping into the speaker wires through the radio I can tap into the stock amp? And do you sell that harness? Or would I have to follow your steps & make it myself? And if so will I still be able to use the steering for control to radio.
@@samirarodriguez6065 There are so many options you can go with. These are just some solutions and aren't definite answers. 1. You can tap into the output signals from your amp (these originally goes to your speakers). Some amps/processors can take these high voltage level as inputs. 2. You can tap into the output from the amp and connect them to a line converter which will drop the line level voltage. Then run some RCA from the line converter to your new aftermarket amps. 3. You could also just tap into the speaker wires directly from the radio and just not use the OEM amp entirely (maybe disconnect the speaker wires or power to the amp. Not sure if this will have any affect on having some Check Engine Light.
