I would like to know more about where you connect the tweeters because I’m trying to find a good connection
My tweeters connect to a passive crossover which I threw in the door.
I really need that wiper blade adapter for my 1985 one owner Supra
I already gave it away. Bought the aftermarket one from jp3 Motorsport.
planning on buying an 85 supra with the problem being the brake master cylinder, excited to work on it with this video!
You got it!
What size are speakers?
5-1/4
This was perfect dude. I'm glad you suggested a hanger bc that was the only way I could get through that dang tube. I'm surprised Honda didn't make it a little wider for us power users. That tube almost ruined the whole mod. Other than that this was perfect. 19 hatchback base build.
Glad it helped you.
Can you do a belt changing video?!
Timing belt?
@@johnsneverendinglistofrand1377 the belt that's on the tensioner
Yeeees! Thank you so mich for this!!
1. Is that the only gromet hole availble in the firewall? 2. Is is possibe to get a 75 mm hose through there, if the grommet is fully set aside? 3. Is it just moisture that can potentially get through the firewall-hole, or would it also be engine exhhaust?
1. There should be a few holes. That one just happen to be the easiest access for wiring something from the batter. 2. Not sure about the dimensions. Didn’t measure. 3. Leaving it open would introduce the interior to many things like you said plus rodents and bugs.
Loved the video! Inly question i have is which lenth wire did you use for the negative Alternator connection. (Alternator to chassis)
Just noticed I made a mistake with the dub. I said starter to chassis. It's the wire that was about 17 inch long.
Very good work! Thank you!
Great video and instructions! Thank you so much. I had to clean out my Supra blower because mice had found a way in there when my car was in storage.
Glad it helped!
Great video
Does it go up Straight or at angle ?
Straight up. Make sure you fix the bracket to hold it to go straight up though.
where are you going to put the 3rd speaker for the rear or did you meant 2-way
I have a separate video for the 3rd little speaker.
For the power steering draining you can put it on ramps and drain from the other end of the pressure line so the reservoir is empty and you completely empty the steering rack too if needed
I bought a set of adapters, but mine were reversed where the J hook is on the opposite side of the mounting holes
Grab a different set. If you got a reversed one it would work for the rear wiper.
@@johnsneverendinglistofrand1377 I'm going to order a different set. I don't have any use for these because i have a convertible.
Nice video. Think you have ther wrong link for the powered antenna though
Thanks! I’ll correct it asap.
I literally was thinking about the broken antenna in my Supra. Thank you for making these videos!
We love you from Saudi Arabia
hey can you make a video on how to take the fuel filter out on one of these?
The strainer in the gas tank or the one below the intake manifold?
What if I have a diffrent multimeter
I used an analog meter cause it’s affordable and sensitive. Unless you plan to buy an expensive DMM.
You’re the most important person on TH-cam!!
I’m very happy to see you posting again you are huge help when working on my 1985 celica Supra
I read the title & somehow went to Sponge Brake Square Pants, hah Awesome replacement documentation!
lol
We love you man keep up the good work! Supra oner from Saudi Arabi 👍
Thanks! Will do!
Keep the mk2 content coming man!
That's the plan!
Hey John, do you have a video on the bushings you replaced?
Which bushing are you referring to?
@@johnsneverendinglistofrand1377I noticed some new red bushings…
Good eyes. So I went with an ADDCO front and rear sway bar. The red bushings you see are only for the endlinks. I did replace my front bushings with all energy suspension. Just did not have the time to record it. I may have to find someone local to work on their car for a recording. I did purchase the energy suspension bushings for the rear. Just not ready to tackle it until i'm ready to replace the rear bearings and crush washer.
@@johnsneverendinglistofrand1377 I have an 85 p-type with a 7MGTE swap (manual). SO much fun to drive.
Thank you
Hope it’s helpful info.
Super helpful Thanks Makes me regret paying ridiculous shop rates. Time to tackle this myself next time
You can do it! Just need the right tools.
this is a BIG help as im restoring my '85 GT-S ! I'd like to see a cruise video in the future as your shifting gears . Good channel here , watching all the way on the east coast in the carolinas
I think the outer tie rod may be different on the celica. If you have a manual steering celica then it’s the same parts. If you have a power steering celica the outer tie rod is a little longer. The inner tie rods are the same though.
absolutely ! there are some differences yes but still enjoy mk2 content
Dude pls make more content on the mk2 Supra!!! Its so useful and I’m grateful for a new vid 😭
More to come!
Awesome, very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
lol took you long time to install.
Yea it took a long time.
My civic doesn't have the undercarriage lol😢 60% oil life
The undercarriage is very flimsy and sometimes even the hardware gets loose over time. I almost lost mine a few times going on long trips. I ended up having to use blue thread lock to make sure the 2 front screws didn't come loose again. Never been a problem since.
So cool to have a new Celica Supra "Neverending List" video! Thanks, John. My Supra has its own Neverending List also! Your videos have helped me so much!
Welcome back
these toyota videos help me out so much ! some of the supra repairs help me on my 85 GT-S as well . never stop toyota content 💥 i smash the like all the time
Glad to help
First one here. Here for the sufra
Lol
Same on my car from my memory! Thanks for returning to make more videos btw! This is vicariously filling the Supra Mk2 shaped hole in my life hah
Question. When I looked up the fasteners, it showed black clips. Where do those go exactly? Because when I removed the splash guard, I didn't see them. Same with your video, I didn't see them.
Did you remove extra or lose fasteners?
What happens when you put to much oil
Possibility of ruining your oil seals causing oil to leak.
YOURE BACK!!! My man! Missed you booboo
Any way to power on without cigarettes lighter since i charge my phone through there?
I used this amzn.to/3M4ojdy works pretty good.
Hi guys. Which the best radiator for this mk2 .thank you
OEM if you can find a good one.
Hey John, is there a subwoofer in your Supra? Some videos show one.
Yes. If it isn’t already removed. Remove the lowest trim right above the passengers foot.
Thanks my guy
dude im so glad your back your videos literally helped me get my mk2 back on the road.
Yes ! Keep these rear drive dragon cars alive brother 💥
Nice work, John!
Nice work dad!!!
